Taka made my wedding day absolutely incredible! I was blown away with how beautiful everything looked and my family and friends couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it all looked! He is easy to work with and has a beautiful sense of design! I created a Pinterest board for wedding flowers and he took the ideas I pinned and put together flowers that were more than what I expected. I highly recommend working with Taka, you will not be disappointed!

We cannot thank Taka enough for the absolutely stunning wedding flowers! Everything from my bouquet, to the center pieces and all of the GORGEOUS flowers at the ceremony site. He magically brought everything I told him I wanted for our wedding to life! I got married in August at La Venta Inn and Taka did an amazing job with all my flowers! He understood my vision perfectly and I was truly blown away with how beautiful all the flowers were. From my bouquet to my gazebo flowers it was perfect! Thank you Taka!

Taka does amazing work! He did the flowers for our 7÷11÷15 wedding. Everything looked beautiful from the church to reception, even the fresh flower arrangement on our cake. Everyone commented on how beautiful our centerpieces were… and I LOVED LOVED my cascading orchid bouquet! When we saw the room all we could say was wow! Definitely exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to get us the look we wanted while staying within our budget. Very accommodating and easy to work with. Taka did an amazing job for my 10÷18÷15 wedding. From the very first interaction and up until the very last one, Taka was incredibly professional and he truly listened to my vision and delivered beyond my expectations. Taka was our florists at our wedding at La Venta Inn this October. He was very professional and helpful! He provided good suggestions based on our preferences and budgets! All the guests were talking about how beautiful our flower decorations are.
I pick the light blue theme for the wedding and he was able to mix with different blue and white color flower so it doesn’t look overwhelming. We really like all the centerpiece and bouquet! h

Taka did such an amazing job at my wedding at La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes. My bouquet was exactly how I wanted it, the centerpieces were absolutely beautiful, as well as everything else. I got so many compliments on how gorgeous everything was. I could not recommend him more… He is very thorough and covers all the possible things you may want available at the wedding. In addition, he responded to all of my emails within a day, which alleviates a lot of stress. Definitely use Be Buds for you wedding!

Taka did the flowers for our wedding a couple of weeks ago. My husband and I cannot say enough good things. We don’t know much about flowers, but Taka’s suggestions were within our budget and were perfect. The designs, flower choices and room decoration was wonderful. He supplied additional items such as shepherd hooks and vases for floating candles at no cost, and decorated our cake table perfectly.
Each time we spoke to him he was organized, took good notes (including sketches) and was a pleasure to work with. The finished flowers were beautiful, and frankly much more reasonable than many other places that provided us quotes. We cannot recommend Taka enough.

Taka was super nice and easy to work with from day one — he was patient, really listened to what we wanted, and made great suggestions when we asked for them. And when the big day came, we were blown away. He more than exceeded our expectations. Everything was GORGEOUS!!! We were getting compliments all day long, and are still getting compliments weeks later. We have friends who have paid TONS for flowers, and they didn’t come close to how amazing Taka’s flowers were — and at a fraction of the price. I seriously can’t say enough about Be Buds Florist. Best ever!!!

Taka’s flowers are perfection. Our guests took more photos of the flowers than of us. Just kidding… kind of.
We booked Taka about 9 months prior to our event. In your first meeting, try to have a Pinterest board prepared with the bouquets, ceremony, and reception flowers that you’ve seen and liked. Otherwise, the meeting will be all over the place, and it’ll be hard to get an accurate quote.
A week or two prior to the event, Taka does a mock-​up of your centerpiece and gives you one last chance to make final changes before giving the final quote. On the day-​of, he and his wife arrived early to the venue (as well as dropping off the bouquets and boutonnieres to us at a different location), stayed to do final prep of the reception area after the ceremony, and came back later that night to pick up vases.
The quality of his work is undeniable, and with such fair pricing for the look and style we wanted, booking Taka was a no-​brainer!

Brides, look no further. Be Buds Florist is the BEST in the business. Taka is AMAZING! Taka truly seems to love what he does and has such a skill at making beautiful flower arrangements. His prices are definitely reasonable. I think we actually got MORE than what we paid for. And, when do you ever get to say that when planning a wedding! :) From day one, he was a breeze to work with. During our planning meeting he took notes, asked questions, and even pulled up my Pinterest page to better understand my style/​look and feel of the wedding and make sure he was on point, which he was. When I envisioned how my bouquets would look for our wedding, Taka created something that was much more beautiful. Working with Taka was easy & not stressful. He’ll listen as you describe what you’d like for your wedding. Our flowers were gorgeous & my husband & I are so thankful for Taka.

When we got married, we shopped around. I knew exactly what I wanted and got multiple quotes. They ranged from $ 10,000-$ 18,000 — for flowers. Are you kidding me? That’s a Honda Civic!
Then we were introduced to Taka. Can I just say that he was a godsend! He’s not only professional, humble, accommodating, and awesome, but he went above and beyond with extra petals for the walkway, beautiful blossoms for the cake stand area, and my hair — all for ½ the price of what we’d been quoted!
Our guests were blown away and there were so many compliments on the beauty of the blossoms, centerpieces, and bouquets.
I recommend him to everyone. Everybody who needs flowers NEEDS to see him first. Don’t be fooled by the humble store front. He is top notch!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Taka from Be Buds Florist. We recently got married at the Wayfarers Chapel, and had our reception at the La Venta Inn. Taka was recommended to us by La Venta, and he was one of our favorite vendors to work with throughout the wedding planning.
Even though he has been doing this for so long, he does not make you feel like you’re one of a million other weddings he’s worked on… from the first meeting we had, I felt like we were a part of the creative process he goes through for each wedding.
I thought my husband would not enjoy the florist meeting, but we ended up spending an hour ½ during the first meeting, laughing and covering everything. He then met with us as we got closer to hone in on our ideas/​colors, etc. And then a few weeks before the wedding, he did a ‘show and tell’ with a table setting. I even added a few last minute arrangements, and he took care of it no problem.
On the wedding day, I did not worry at all, and was so happy with all of the flower arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, head pieces for the flower girls, etc.
Also, all of our arrangements were in mason jars, so we were able to give them away to our guests at the end of the night. It happened to fall on Easter weekend, so it was nice that people could use the arrangements the following day for brunches etc.
All in all, Taka is professional, creative, talented, has experience but is not jaded, and like his work, adds a fresh, exciting spirit to your wedding. And at the end of the day, he delivers. Honestly, if you’re having a wedding in the area, I’d recommend Taka and Be Buds!

I love Taka. I initially was going to retain another florist with excellent reviews on Unilocal, but after our mock up session, she took too long to respond to my request for a quote. After four phone calls to her shop and two emails later, I decided to look for another florist. After all, I’m a busy professional and got shit to do.
Anyhow, met with Taka, quote was very reasonable. We met another 2 times before the wedding. All my guests loved the flowers and I got at least 3 inquiries about my florist. Everybody wants to use him for a friend’s wedding or an upcoming party.
Use him. His flowers were amazing, went extremely well with my ocean view backdrop.

I found Taka on Unilocal of course and was happy to learn that his workshop was in my backyard all along! My mother and I made an appointment for a consultation to discuss what I wanted to do with the flowers for my wedding. His shop is small and you get the feel that he is very invested in his work. He had his computer set up to show us past wedding photos. After about an hour of telling him what I needed and him suggesting things we were very pleased with his professionalism and looked forward to speaking with him soon.
Unfortunately, we did end up using another florist that was more within our budget for the wedding. I wanted to give Taka a good review because he did go above and beyond to help us and be available when we had questions or concerns.
His flowers are beautiful and he had some great ideas. He even said that I could call him if the other florist didn’t work out– it’s nice to know that there were no hard feelings!
