I’ve been here twice and I am SO happy that I found a good mechanic that I can trust! Kevin is the best! I came once to fix a semi-​flat tire and another time to order new tires. Kevin was very polite, honest, knowledgeable, and gave very fair/​cheap prices. Service was quick too! I will definitely be coming here from now on for all my car needs! :)

I just wanted to give them a shout out because this morning on my way to the DMV I needed to turn in my license plates and had the wrong kind of screw driver. Because they are located right by there I pulled in and asked the first guy I saw. He told me no problem, told me to back into a stall and had everything in my hands in 1 min. or less.

It’s so hard to find a good mechanic that works well, quickly, and is honest with you. This place is on the immediate right when you come into the plaza! There’s other mechanic shops here not just one!
Kevin has been my family’s mechanic for near over 4 years now. Before it was just for oil changes and now we come here for any problem we have with any of our 5 cars. Kevin and his staff work fast paced and are honest with you and will let you know the progress before doing something and charging you an arm and a leg. The staff is very friendly as well and indulged me when I asked about the numerous amount of motorcycles around the shop. One actually joked and offered me a ride on one. Lol!
Oil changes has risen from $ 25 to $ 30 for regular oil and $ 60 for synthetic. When I came to change the oil for my sister’s car, he popped his head into the waiting area and informed me it was $ 60 instead of $ 30 to change it so I knew how much I was paying. I definitely appreciate that quality of service here.
When I came to get my sister’s car oil change and to take a look at the back window not rolling down, he changed the oil and told me that the cause of the window not rolling down was because of a faulty window motor which would cost $ 500 to fix. After discussing with my sister about the cost and labor, she gave me the okay to get it fixed and I let them know. Kevin told me they would have to order the part and it would come in the next morning. Came around 9:30am and told me it would take about 3 – 4 hours. Called to check on progress and came back around 1pm and car was ready. $ 512 total for parts and labor. 1 year warrantee on the part and select happy. Got in the car and made sure it was working. Quality work ! The owner dont play you around. He is very straight forward and let you know your option. Before this shop, I only went dealer to do most of job. There is something different about this shop. Go and check it out, you wil see what I mean. Best auto service !

I come here for my usual oil changes. People are of few words but seem honest and get the oil changes done quickly. $ 25 in cash and $ 28 in credit. I’ve been coming here for months maybe even a year and I’ve had no problem with this establishment. If you don’t wanna just wait around, I sometimes head over to Ralph’s right next door and get groceries done too.

My grandma and I came here to get our oil and filter changed. We thought that we were being well taken care of. My grandma got her car checked again at another place and the auto mechanic there said that nothing has been changed. So basically they took advantage of an elderly lady and did not do/​change anything!

It is so rare to find an auto shop that is honest, fast, and detailed in their work, even ones recommended by friends. So when I came to Auto Tec with my 96 Lexus LS400, I was still a little skeptical. I read great reviews for this place and my girlfriend said this place was really good and quick but I was skeptical none-​the-​less because of the poor experiences I had with a bunch of other places. Long story short, I pretty much had to pay twice every-​time I had my car fixed because the first time I get it fixed by one shop, they do a shoddy job so I have to get it all redone again at another shop, and even they do a subpar job. Maybe I’m just unlucky.
Finally my luck has changed. This place is as amazing as everyone else says it is! With all the great things I hear about this place, I was surprised by how unbusy it was on a Saturday. I went in mainly for a battery problem. The last shop I took my car to replaced the head of the connector and they cut the wires so short that the new head was literally pulling and bending the battery terminal, causing it to corrode and snap again. That shoddy job cost me $ 160.
The guy at Auto Tec said he would try to save me money by not replacing the entire cable and just extending it, and he definitely delivered! Not only did he extend the cable, he did it so professionally it practically looked like he did replace the entire cable and everything looked pristine and new.
I also had them do an oil change and tire rotation on the same day, and I had some other small issues too such as power steering noise and broken break sensors. They fixed them all! Not only that, they did EVERYTHING on my list in 4 hours (8am to 12pm). That is blazing fast compared to what I had to deal with in the past with other places.
After they called me to tell me my car was ready, I went in expecting to shell out some serious cash. Nope! Everything (oil change, tire rotation, battery cable repair, replace brake sensor, top off power steering fluid) only cost a little over $ 200! Without the brake sensor replacement everything was only $ 120!
I was seriously floored by how amazing this place was. It’s like a dream come true. I almost wanted to keep this review and my recommendations for this place to myself so they don’t get super busy. ;)
I’m definitely bringing all my cars here in the future.
P. S. I noticed another review that mentioned about not being intimidated by the 2 guys working there, and I agree with him. They may seem intimidating, but they’re actually very honest, straightforward, and they don’t play games with you.

Just moved down the block from here and needed an oil change. It was $ 25 and I was in and out within 15 minutes! The mechanics also found something wrong with my muffler (turned out to be the flex pipe) which I was thankful for because I was able to take my car to a muffler specialist the same day and fix a bigger underlying problem. They seem like honest people, and didn’t push for fixing anything else that wasn’t needed! I will be back in the future.

Finding a good auto-​mechanic is tough; you need to be able to trust their work and they have to maintain competitive with their pricing. Fortunately for me, my days of searching for a reliable auto mechanic are over. These guys are knowledgeable and can perform most repairs on both low-​end to high-​end vehicles. I gotta admit, I usually just come here for a simple oil change, but the mechanics here are honest with their clients and won’t pressure on additional repairs and fees.
If something needs to be replaced or fixed, they’ll suggest it and that’s it; if you don’t want it, end of story. None of these sales pressuring tactics like «You’re car may need even more expensive services if you don’t» that I’ve experienced at other mechanics/​dealerships after I’ve clearly said no to their unreasonable prices. Pricing is another reason, why I support this place. Being located near various other auto shops, I believe this place manages to keep their prices very competitive. My oil changes only cost me $ 20 and I think my brake pads were changed for around $ 160, which I thought was very reasonable.
The only thing that people coming here for the first time should note is, and this is really just my own personal opinion, the 2 mechanics that operate this place can seem a little intimidating; don’t let appearances fool you, they’re actually pretty nice and yes they speak fluent English (I only mention because they converse with most of their clients in Korean). This has become my regular auto shop and I highly recommend them to anyone searching for a good auto mechanic in the area.

My husband brought my daughter’s hooptie here to get fixed. They were helpful by telling us the necessary things that needed to be done. They didn’t try to add on other things on that weren’t needed just to make extra money. Since then they have worked on my husband’s work truck and my SUV. These guys aren’t shady like some other mechanics and they charge decent prices.

Came here when my both my usual mechanics were unavailable. Nice people and did quick work. Would return again without hesitation.

A GREAT PLACE! I have been bringing all my cars to this shop, to include my 1967 Camaro to my newer Acura MDX, and each time it is skillfully repaired at a reasonable price. I really like Kevin Nam and Chet — both very nice guys who are extremely talented and enjoy what they do for a living.
I will definitely be bringing my cars back here again and will gladly refer to others.

I wanted to check in and realized this business wasn’t even on Unilocal ! I’ve been coming here for a few years and they seem to be very honest. I came in for an oil change and I asked them to take a look at my brakes as well and I was told my front brakes needed to be fixed. being the smart young gal that I am, I went to other shops to get quotes and to make sure that I really even had a problem with my brakes to begin with. I was given higher quotes at other shops and yes, I did have a problem with my front brake. Anyway, here I am sitting in a big black couch. in the waiting room (that has a complimentary cappacino machine and alot of Christian inspirational quotes in korean) as the machanic is working on my car right away. this place deserves 5 stars. oh and I just tried to tip him on my card but he said ‘it’s okay I’m Christian’ Hahah awee
