My wife and I have been taking vehicles here for several years. I’ve found Bob to be very honest and fair. I’ve never felt like he was trying to gouge me for excessive repairs. On one occasion he refused to look at a problem based on the age and issue with the car. Though I appreciated his honest assessment, the car didn’t end up being the problem he said it might be. That experience left me feeling that he can be a bit of a curmudgeon at times, but he definitely wasn’t out to take my money. He really felt like it could be a bad decision to attempt the repair. One tip is that his shop is pretty busy. When calling for an appointment, don’t be surprised if the appointment is a week away. He has a loyal following.

I’ve done business with Bob for nearly 15 years. He’s kept my family’s five vehicles in great condition. Above all, he’s as honest as you’ll find. Extremely bright and friendly and with a career of solid experience behind him. His wife runs the front office and looks to me like the perfect business partner. They’re both professionals! Bob’s staff of mechanics are long-​term guys, not the come-​and-​go you see in a lot of shops. He is very careful who he hires and I think the best gravitate to his shop because they’re paid to do the job right and not cut corners or play games.
Bob is always ready to discuss the pros and cons of what should be done and what maybe can be deferred if that is what you need to consider. I’ve done that a few times and always found that what he says will happen does happen and at about the mileage he predicts. That said, he’s a stickler that cars leaving his shop are safe for the road, period.
Give his shop a try. If you appreciate quality work and being treated honestly and fairly you’ll be happy.
