Only 2 stars, flowers were nice, but I asked for a basket and they delivered them in a vase. For $ 50 there were not many flowers. First time I ever ordered from them and probably wouldn’t again. I have ordered flowers elsewhere previously and for $ 50 had more flowers. When I walked in they did not look like they had many flowers in the shop.

I’ll never use this florist if I could give them no stars I would… flowers were almost dead wilted and thrown in a short vase looked like a mess the rose was cut with a two inch stem and couldn’t even reach the water level… when I called the florist he was rude and even called me a bitch! I’ll never use this florist EVER for ANY REASON and looking at others I see I’m not alone… I am adding this to the review on Sept 11… I was contacted by Tara with a compliment after my review of John’s Florist… I guess she works for them but she was no one I had contact with that day other than the rude man on the phone and the very kind man who delivered the flowers… this is a copy and paste of a portion her reply to my post…

.How unprofessional can you get? …Well Tara I was happier getting flowers somewhere else… I received a wonderful arrangement from another florist who I will give a 5 star rating to… the arrangement was EXACTLY what my friend had ordered which were sunflowers… I’m sorry to hear that your friend had died that day but that doesn’t give anyone the right to yell at a customer… and it seems this has become a habit or at least a problem looking at what other have to say… so what were the excuses for all the other posts here on Unilocal???I never read any until I was so upset I was moved to write the first review ever… and by the way the flowers I received were for the anniversary of my husband’s death not that it mattered to you…

Horrible florist! My aunts ordered pink tulips through Teleflora for my 50^th birthday because they were my favorite flowers. They gave instructions that the color tulip could be substituted but not the type of flower. This florist not only substituted the tulips, but did so with a much less expensive arrangement. They delivered a poorly arranged cheap bunch of flowers with an abundance of green filler that were dying within a day! I tried calling them, but their phone was busy non-​stop for hours, as if someone took it off the hook. My guess is they were tired of answering calls from unhappy customers! I posted a picture of the arrangement I received, but of course they deleted it. I also saw how they responded to others who posted complaints on their FB page (before they were deleted that is), rude and nasty responses. I’d steer clear of this florist. Not only is their product sub-​par, their customer service is even worse!

No stars actually. Don’t go here. They totally messed up my fathers funeral arrangements. Again… DO NOT GO HERE!!!

So upset I didn’t Unilocal before I used them and now see what I did wrong.
I ordered an arrangement for my best friend and her family who just lost their grandma. I am very close to them and knew their grandma as well. I asked for a $ 60 bouquet which in my opinion is a lot of money for an arrangement.
The first one they sent was not only nothing of what was shown online but it was just plain ugly. The owner John pretty much told me well I made that special. Well John. You also made it ugly. The picture online was white roses, white spray roses and some lilacs with the tiny little purple flowers as fillers. The first arrangement was all purple roses and some white hydrangeas. If it was at least pretty it would have been fine but it was not.
I called and complained and would not give up so he sent a new one. Just as equally ugly. I am going to file a dispute with my credit card company Bc he didn’t not give me what I asked for and on top of that didn’t tell me about the $ 10 delivery charge. This is just bad business.

This is the email that I just sent to the flower company that sent my flowers using Johns Riverside Florist. I don’t think they even deserve 1 star.
I strongly suggest that you discontinue use with this business. The arrangement that was delivered to my mother for her 60^th
birthday was nowhere near what I ordered. I ordered the Rose and Lilly Birthday Celebration. She received carnations, one or two roses, one Lilly, an orchid, a gerbera daisy… not at all the pink and red roses and pink lilies that are in the description. The color scheme wasn’t even close to
pink and red… yellow and blue flowers and turquoise mesh ribbon. When she
sent me a picture I was so disappointed. I am attaching a picture of both
what I ordered and what was sent here. To add to the insult, the message on
the card wasn’t what I indicated on the order either. I understand that
sometimes substitutions are required but this one not a simple
substitution. This looked liked an inexperienced person took a bunch
of leftovers and put them in a vase and not a professional floral arrangement. Additionally, I paid for the deluxe arrangement and did not receive a full bouquet.
I placed an order on the 14^th of July to be delivered on the 17^th to someone else in a different city. By contrast, that arrangement was beautiful and full and looked like the picture and description. This proves that it can be done. I do not fault your company but John’s Riverside Florist for doing a poor job and probably hoping that the purchaser would never see what they sent. In no way is the arrangement that my mother received worth the money I spent on this. I’m very disappointed. It will make me very hesitant to use your business again in this city if it is
possible that this is the local company that will be contracted.

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! They delivered a half dead and wilted spray with very sloppy writing on the ribbon. This was for my infant daughter’s funeral.

Mortified by the spray arrangement that was delivered to a funeral.
While all the other sprays had computer printed cards, MINE had our names on the card, all messed up and arranged incorrectly, written in COMPLETE chicken scratch and scribble, completely illegible.
When I called all I got was, «Sorry that’s my handwriting»

I don’t write reveiws for flower shops but had to on this one. This is the 4^th time ordering flowers from this place and every recipient commented on how extraordinary the flowers were. Never been to the shop but whoever answered the phone (guessing the owner) was knowledgable and to the point. Prices were reasonable but more importantnly all 4 deliveries we on time. For what its worth.

Never got flowers!!! Ordered 2 arraignments online to be delivered mothers day. To my surprise they were never delivered. I received a conformation e mail after I placed the order. The charge was pending on my credit card, then 3 days later disappeared. They had my phone #, e mail address and still couldn’t bother to even notify me they had no intention of sending anything! Very disappointed, I will NEVER do any business with this florist again. Horrible!!!

Ah Watch out Toms River! Ordered a Mothers Day Flower Arraignment… From my understanding they didn’t have the flowers to make the arrangement. Whatever, give something of quality then… When I called up, i was yelled by the owner john and was told by his associate when they get complaints it’s aggravating… welcome to business, you’re going to lose a lot! The replacement arrangement had sub par selection, and looked cheap, and was damaged! I was told I got what I paid for (Refering through the HOSPITAL EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT I GOT). Also he never even gave the balloon «we ran out»… WELL THEN GO TO THE STORE and get more.
Oh yeah, the only good report i saw about them has been for a funeral… i can see why!
Go to Allans or something… don’t order from 1800flowers and never go here! The worst!
