History

Established in 2014.

Under new ownership, Tombstone RV Park and Campground is located ½ mile north of Historic Tombstone, AZ., on State Hwy 80. It is the only RV park able to handle the really big rigs with easy access from the highway & many large pull through sites. Available sites have either 30 or 50 amp electric service with full water & waste hook-​ups. There are sites for those who enjoy tent camping as well as cozy, clean cowboy cabins for those who are traveling lighter.

The park offers clean showers, restrooms & full laundry facilities. The rec room is available to all guests. There is a grassy children’s play area & of course all pets are welcome with a fenced Puppy Play Park, & horse corrals for those who bring their horses to ride the Old West. Tombstone RV Park and Campground is the only park that boasts a clean, well maintained swimming pool that is available May through October. Propane refilling is on-​site and a free shuttle service to and from Tombstone is provided.

Great campground. Clean, level and spacious sites. Everything works! All of the staff go above and beyond expectations. When I needed my propane tanks filled they came and got them, filled and assisted in putting them back in the cabinet.
Watched the super bowl in the club house with campers and most of the staff. Had a blast!

Truth or Consequences, NM
We spent a month here, and absolutely loved the place. It’s a mile from town, down in a gully, and the only drawback is that Verizon doesn’t work most of the time here. Other than that it was great. They have a heated pool that is now open year round, the new owners, Janice & Rick, bend over backwards to make everyone feel welcome here. It’s always very interesting on the weekends with different types of groups or people showing up. While we were there, a 3 wheeler group showed up with over 40 diff 3 wheelers to see, Bobby Kerr stopped for one night, and just seeing diff types of campers come in is interesting no matter where you are at. The park is spotless, and prices are reasonable. Everyone is nice here, and for the drawback of Verizon not working well or not at all, I’d stay here over the ones they have in town only because they have room to sit outside and move – which the others don’t have. Before reserving at any right in the town? Check them out first. I guarantee you won’t stay there and will drive the mile back and forth justfor the cleanliness of this place – plus it has a heated swimming pool! Each lot has a rail seperating it from the other lot, solar lights are on the rails, they have a dog run, provide bags to clean up after your dog, a horse corral for people with horses or animals, a small store, showers, bathrooms, game room, and more. We’d definitely would stay here again – and are! Plenty to see and do in Tombstone too to keep you busy

This is a very nice park. From nice and wide spots to the free shuttle In to (and out of) town. The staff is extra friendly and everything is nice and clean. They have a pool, req hall and you can even fill up on propane if you need it.
We only stayed 2 nights this trip but if we are ever back in the area this is the place we will be staying for sure.

We stayed at this park last spring and we loved our stay so we are here again. The park is very clean and kept up well. My disappointment this time is they offer cable TV at each site. The reception is horrible. When I asked about it st the office they said they have a bad box and it is going to be fixed Monday, which is after we are gone. I don’t like paying for something that I’m not getting. We do like the park and will be back but feel the spots that do not have all the services offered the fees should be reduced a little during that time.

Compton, CA
absolutely lovely couple runs this place, after purchasing it only a few months ago. This is an ex-​KOA campground, so you have the gravel lot, the A-​frame building, etc… but many improvements have been made. The lot has trees, tomb-​stone-​themed lot ID signs (here lies #1…), clean bathrooms.
The lot is about a mile and a half from the «tourist» part of tombstone. It’s a fairly easy walk, and a VERY short drive. The only issue with the walk is: there’s no sidewalk, and no real shoulder. You’ll be walking on about a foot-​wide patch of blacktop, or sometimes on a bit of sand, with nothing but a white line to protect you. Very scary at night.
However, the owners run a shuttle van. As in: they have a van, you can ask them to drive you into town or pick you up, and they will be happy to do so!
The owner was kind enough to keep the office open for us when we warned her we were arriving late.
Being just a bit away from town, you’re spared the drunkenness of the late-​night tourists. If you have kids, this may be the ideal RV campground in Tombstone.
Be warned, our GPS and Google Maps seem to have this place in the wrong place. It’s about a mile NORTH of Boot Hill, and it comes up fast.

Glendale, AZ
This RV Park was awesome! We made our reservations with Scott, the new owner, and checked in with him, too. He was very accommodating and took our reservation at almost the last minute on Memorial Day weekend.
The site had pea gravel on it, was very level and very wide. No one infringing on the sides at all. The restrooms were spotless (I saw the gross pictures on here and those must be from the OLD owner).
Tree shade on most sites, a clean pool, laundry facilities and the best part — a shuttle that picks you up at your campsite and takes you into Tombstone. When you want to go back to your site, just another phone call to the office and they are RIGHT there to get you. Mary, our driver, was awesome enough to offer to stop at Circle K, if we needed firewood! How nice!
Mary, her husband Mike (I think…) and Scott were all very warm and welcoming and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
I would recommend this campground to everyone!

Hello everyone, our son wanted to go to Tombstone Arizona. We have never been there and had no idea what to expect. So I searched and found RV Tombstone just about a mile north of the town. My wife called and met Scott over the phone. He was very nice in making sure he had answered all of our questions. So we made a reservation for Friday and Saturday departing on Sunday morning. We arrived Friday evening and met Scott for the first time. Scott and his staff were extremely helpful in making sure we parked our RV and they provided a ride into town so we can have dinner. After dinner we came back and had a great time. The facilities were extremely clean, there was free WIFI, free showers (great hot water), laundry room, and a pool. The next day they provided transportation and if you mention you staying at the RV Park they provide 10% discount in town just about everywhere. So to share our thoughts with everyone the RV is highly recommended we have been travelers for many years and by far the courtesy, service, location were outstanding. Thank you Scott and your wonderful staff for making our stay a great memorable one!

We brought our extended family and we rented one RV spot, one cabin, one premium cabin. We LOVED it! The staff was so friendly and helpful, the bathrooms were super clean– The town of Tombstone is just a mile away. The place was very clean and I would stay again!

We stayed two nights here and we would recommend this RV park to anyone traveling to the Tombstone area. The park is clean and spacious. Nice gravel and level sites for our travel trailer. Friendly and helpful staff. We were escorted to our spot by the owner who appears to take great pride in the improvements made to this RV park. We noticed many of the staff members throughout the day keeping the park clean. Close to town. We enjoyed a nice day in Tombstone taking in the sites. We have two dogs, and there is a nice little fenced in area for pets.

We made reservations at the Tombstone RV park and after arriving we were very glad we did. The staff were very helpful and friendly and suggested things to see that were not the usual tourist traps. The RV park is just a few minutes drive from all the attractions in town. There are campgrounds within walking distance but after seeing them in person, I highly recommend driving a few minutes and staying at the clean and spacious Tombstone RV Park and Campground.

BIG SUR, CA
This RV park has the widest sites of any I have ever been in. For the first time, We don’t have to worry about the slide out infringing. In fact, it was wide enough that we could park our tow vehicle right next to the RV. There are split rail fences between all sites. Small pea gravel makes it very easy to walk on, unlike parks with the very big rocks. Downtown Tombstone is only a mile or so down the street. Scott, the owner, is very nice and helpful, leading you right into your spot. Would definitely come here again.

this is one of the best run rv parks around. had no trouble at all here. new owner has done a ton of work here in 4 months since late 2014, the shuttle service to the shopping district is a huge bonus too. Scott is doing a tremendous job here, cant wait to pass through again. definitely will stop here, safe comfortable, affordable and SUPER FRIENDLY, and great customer service here.

The new owner is so nice. Only park you can have a campfire. He brought us a fire pit and wood. They have a dog run along with pool laundry and small store. Very close to tombstone. Nice gravel parking with picnic table and full hook ups. Would highly recommend place to stay. We are staying 3 nights. There is one row of full time rv folks. One person a little odd but everyone else very nice. Park isn’t too big. Looks like new owner is making place nicer and Nice

In the dark the park was a bit difficult to find, even with GPS. If you’re headed towards Tombstone and reach the Best Western on your right, you went to far, back down the hill you’ll find it on the same side of the road.
Reserved my spot on the phone just a few hours earlier. Even though they were closed with I arrived, fine gentleman left me the park map (full of coupons to use in town).
There are many RV sites, electrical hook-​up, even a few cabins for those looking for luxury.
Showers were fine, hot water, good pressure.
In the spirit of Tombstone each site is marked as «here lies xx»
WiFi at the main office is wireless so you can sit on the rocking chair out front while browsing your favorite pornographic, I mean, while you are downloading corporate email.
If you’re visiting Tombstone, and looking to camp, the location is perfect, just a few miles short of town.
As far as the «resort» in the name, not sure about that one…
PS — the OK Corral shoot out is daily at 2pm — in town!
