Cool little stop in Tombstone. Kids wanted to shoot some real pistols and this was a cheap way to let them try it. They don’t use real ammunition so it’s very safe and really fun. The staff take time to show you how to shoot of yours beginner and they are really friendly. Cost is $ 3 for six shots and they have several pistols to choose from. Great little stop for the family. Glad we stopped in.

Yeah, this place is pretty cool. It is like shooting guns in the house. Was pretty cheap, 50 cents a round to shoot on some badass Arizona western awesomeness. It isn’t «real» ammunition, it is paint slugs or «simunition» or whatever the hell it is called but you get an instant report on where your rounds go. Plus you get to shoot from the hip like some sort of damn jackass. I even cussed at my target when I shot it and no one seemed to care. Well done. If you come to Tombstone, you have to stop here. For the money it is a cool stop and the range officer even took several pictures of me afterwards with the weapons so my Mom would be proud. He was cool, gave the whole deal on how the hip shot, while not the most effective, was enough to take down your target to give you enough time for that final«Eff you» head shot. America! They also have remanufactured ammunition in several calibers for sale in what I would say is a decent price, including the 45 long colt with the«tombstone» name as a headstamp. Cool but it is 2015, I don’t own that particular weapon. Only gripe is I tried to use a debit card and the lady quite defensive on that whole idea. I mean real defensive about it. So, yeah, bring some cash.

What can I say? It was big fun to play gunslinger for a minute! Yes, I have shot a real gun before but I’ve mostly shot semi-automatics and never from the hip. So the chance to shoot a 45 cal single action revolver, like the kind that tamed the West for only $ 3 was too cool to pass up. The 45 caliber cartridges are topped with paint balls instead of lead so you can quickly see how you did in a very safe manner. I’d do it again in the drop of a hat.

shooting at Big Iron was one of the only activities we did while in Tombstone since we weren’t gung ho about watching a shoot out show. WHYNOTCREATEOUROWN?(not really) It’s $ 3 for 6 shots(Paintball shots that is but at least they’re still fired from a revolver JUST like the old days) the gallery is run but a guy & his Chinese wife INTERESTING stop & might as well since it’s cheap

I guess this is a cool place to bring your kids or not-so-gun-savvy friends if they want to brag afterwards about having fired a «real gun». I just wish they’d treat their firearms — loaded with simmunition or not — as though they were loaded with live, lethal rounds. I watched them hand the guns off to kids who were barely large enough to hold the gun up themselves, without reminding them to keep the barrel pointed«downrange»(which is a whopping five feet in length) for the sake of other customers’ safety and comfort, if not their own. They also don’t provide hearing or eye protection, which makes their claim to safety even more laughable. Their custom-stamped brass made a cool gift for a fellow gun-enthusiast friend, but if I could’ve bought it somewhere else — away from the gross mishandling of loaded firearms and hearing-damaging dB levels — I would’ve done so.

Update to previous. Still awesome. Just wanted to note that they moved to a location on Allen Street(across from the Bird Cage Theater). It’s a larger space.

A very fun little place. My dad and I shot a few rounds each. I wasted my first few shots because I didn’t know my bullets were actually paintball pellets. Cost is only $ 3 for six shots. BIg Iron will be moving from their side street location up to Allen Street in the next month. Hopefully being on the main drag will bring in even more business.

During our day trip to Tombstone we had to stop by the shooting gallery! For only $ 3 you get 6 super fun paint ball rounds in a real gun! I was a little nervous, working a real gun and all, but it was really fun, not scary at all! A nice couple runs the place and they are sure to explain that you won’t be hurled to the back of the room when you shot and encourage you whole time…“whoa! In the shoulder!” etc. Definitely worth a few buck and a few minutes of your time!
