Events Etc

I have not had the opportunity to visit the venue myself but have read lots of great reviews.
I just wanted to send this as a friendly warning to those who are interested in booking this venue for 2017. Unfortunately the owner who seems wonderful, is retiring after 23 years. So they are not taking any bookings for 2017.
Good luck to those who are still looking for a venue! I am in the same boat and am trying to find a great place with a great price like this venue.

This 1 star review goes to the DJ at Events Etc. He messed up on almost everything. We gave him 2 CDS with the song we wanted to play when walking down the aisle and for the father daughter dance, a few days before the wedding. He says he played it on his computer and it worked, but when it was time to walk down the aisle, it wasn’t working. Apparently he hadn’t tried it on the actual system they use. We all had to wait for him to figure out how to use it. Same thing happened with the father daughter dance. He called us up to the dance floor and then had us wait there in front of everyone for well over 5 minutes, closer to 10 minutes, for him to download the song from the cd.
When it was time for everyone to dance, he played songs which I did not ask for. I asked for Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias and current pop music. He decided to play YMCA, play that funky music and other similar songs. He also messed up our final song. He started playing one song, we were dancing it for almost a minute, then he realized it was the wrong one, stopped it and played the correct one. Oh and he mispronounced our last name when introducing us at the reception. He gave the whole thing a last minute put together feel.
Yet the icing on the cake, literally, was our cake topper. We had custom made a cake topper, which he dropped. He came up to me before walking down the aise to tell me he had «fixed» it. I’m attaching a photo of our topper to this review.
The venue was beautiful, the cake was pretty and delicious. There were only 2 things that bothered me about Debra. I have seen her get ready for other people’s weddings and she has dressed up. But for our wedding she wore a bright pink Polo shirt and what seemed like exercise pants. We had also filled a list with which traditions we were going to do and which we weren’t. Well she didn’t read it. Started announcing the garner toss, I had to stop her and remind her that we weren’t doing it. Which again made the whole thing seem last minute.

We held my daughter’s wedding at Events Etc. In Tomball, Texas and it turned out fabulous. Debra went above and beyond to make sure everything went smooth. The hall has been updated with a lil country charm and it turned out beautiful. I would recommend using her hall for any special event. The DJ took care of all of our favorite music and didn’t miss a beat! The Bride and Groom cakes were gorgeous. Thank you Debra for making my daughter’s special day perfect!

Good location for a wedding. (that’s why I’m here Lol) beautiful!
