Just left there wow. large portions and kinda cheap friendly staff. The wait was not long at all. love the open kitchen idea. Both my girlfriend and I had to get a take home countainer.

Pros: Great breakfast for not a lot of money. Interior is very inviting. They know how to properly cook eggs! Cons: Closes at 3 pm so have to go to the Glendale garden café for dinner, not all bad.

I stopped here on my way from Toronto to Indianapolis at 6:30 in the morning, and it was one of the only places in Toledo open at that hour(rightfully so, since most people ought to be ASLEEP at that hour). After being in a car for six hours, I was starving, but alas, this breakfast was a disappointment. I ordered the Polish sausage with scrambled eggs and hash browns, and found the sausage merely«okay,» and the scrambled eggs much too slimy for my liking(although I am quite picky about my eggs and prefer them firmer than most, so perhaps take this with a grain of salt). The hash browns were inedible. The service was good, but the quality of food just wasn’t up to par.

As far as diners go in Toledo, I think it is probably one of the best. Very consistent, quality food and helpful servers. I have stopped by for breakfast 4 or 5 times in the past four years and every time, I was pleasantly surprised. Food is standard diner fare plus some Mediterranean options. I have had many great servers here too. Service is always prompt and friendly. Very helpful when substituting for dietary restrictions also. While I wouldn’t take their food over, say Grumpys, Reynolds Gardens is always consistently above average on both food quality and server attentiveness making this my choice for best breakfast place on the West side of Toledo.

I’m not a buffet kind of girl, but Reynolds Garden on Sunday has made me a believer. For $ 10, you get access to a buffet table full of breakfast staples like eggs, bacon and sausage gravy as well as some lunch items like short ribs and fish and fruit, pastries galore. It also includes coffee and great service. It is very busy so beware of the parking lot.

This review may feature bias as I have only had their breakfast buffet that is absolutely outstanding, but the crown jewel of their Sunday breakfast bar is where the chef is awaiting your arrival so that he can prepare the best omelette you will ever eat. Between all of the rich ingredients for the omelettes, great breakfast selection, and dinner selection this place is a sure bet.

We were starving and drove by this place and decided to finally go in. I’m glad we did! We each had breakfast and it was really, really good. Large portions and tasted great. I really want to go back and try something on their lunch menu. I was most definitely eyeing the huge salads that were coming out to other tables. The waitstaff was very friendly. I could tell they have some old-time regulars. The staff spent some time talking to them but made sure their other tables were taken care of as well. Only gripe? The parking lot can get a little crazy… especially with the amount of OLDPEOPLE driving in it. :)

Went here for the first time today; Pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is pretty nice, and the restaurant is clean and just smells, well, like a nice clean restaurant. The skylight gives it some nice ambiance, though it’s a little too open with lots of middle-of-the-room seating. They were a little slow to get drinks and order, but beyond that, I’ve got nothing to gripe about! The staff was very friendly, the food was good(I got corned beef and hash browns, and it wasn’t too greasy which was nice.) and the portions were very nice based on the price. Will definitely go again!

Good Sunday morning brunch. Love the sister café on Glendale. Menus are best selection anywhere and always come here when in town

Maybe it was because somebody said this was the best breakfast in Toledo, but my wife and I were very disappointed. Nothing was freshly made. My wife’s strawberry crepes were filled with strawberry filling instead of strawberries. The hashbrowns were pathetic. On a positive note, the service was great(it was busy) and it had a large menu. Wouldn’t go again.

4.5 stars. A couple of my friends and I brought our work over to Reynolds Garden Café, since we figured comfort food will help stimulate our brains and, hence, our efficiencies in getting things done. First off, overwhelming menu. I couldn’t decide between the German Chocolate Pancakes and the Smothered Chicken Omelette. It was too early for ice-cream(which comes with the pancakes), so I opted for the omelette. As Jennifer V. had mentioned, the omelettes are made with FIVE eggs. The first thing that came to my mind was that I’ll be eating at least 350% of my daily value of cholesterol, not taking the hollandaise sauce into account. I unhesitantly ordered it made with egg whites and, surprisingly, it came out mighty tasty and chock-full of chicken, mushrooms, and green pepper. It could be the melted cheese or the hollandaise sauce — either way, it was definitely one of the best omelettes I’ve had in a while. I had no trouble finishing half of the fries(and boxing the rest) since they weren’t too greasy. One of my dining companions went with the Spinach Bacon Mushroom omelette, which looked equally appetizing, and the other ordered the Fruit Compote, which was waaaaaay too healthy for me. Excellent, attentive service and they made sure that the coffee refills kept coming. RGC seems to draw a heterogeneous crowd, but the three of us were definitely the youngest customers when we went. The one small gripe is the hours; RGC closes at 3pm. I don’t know about you, folks, but I can eat french toasts/waffles/pancakes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so to have this place close so early is a bit disappointing. Make sure you come with a big appetite. Or don’t, and you’ll just have a second meal later since portions are huge :).

This has got to be one of my favorite places to eat in Toledo. The waitstaff is quick, helpful and friendly and the meals are plentyful and delicious. They are open for breakfast and lunch, with breakfast taking a large portion of their menu. I recommend their omlettes-made with 5(!) eggs and plenty of fillings. There are a lot to choose from! Their salads are huge & wonderful as well. They have a good lunch menu, burgers, sandwiches, soups and smaller«dinner» type entrees. The prices are very reasonable for the size portions they serve. The owner also has another restaurant at Glendale & Detroit Avenues called Glendale Garden Café. They are open breakfast, lunch & dinner & have a similar menu, although a large dinner selection is also included.
