Lunch was good! Quiet, quick, and delicious. Excellent pizza. Garlic knots good, Atlantic salmon amazing but not very filling. The parmesan crisps were seriously the best thing I’ve tasted in years. Good job, M, I’ll be back for dinner soon!

First off amazing food, felt like I was back in Italia eating moms carbonara. The cocktails were on point and I had the best martini in ages. The wine list has a great selection and the restaurant is well put together and maintained… It’s also always a comfort to see the owner eating and drinking with customers.

Worst Service EVER!!! While waiting for 2 more people in our group, we ordered drinks and appetizers. That was the last time we saw our server until he picked up the credit card slip. Some other guy came to take the entrée orders. Some other person brought our dinners out(none at the same time, waited 5 – 10 minutes between.) Not once we were asked how the food was. Never offered a drink refill. The food was decent, but not worth the annoyance of dealing with the service!

Our dinner tonight was flawless. The carrot crostini special was impeccable! Not to mention the tortellini and carbonara! Chef JT and M’Osteria really know how to do it right! Hands down some of the best food in Toledo!

Walked in for lunch to an empty restaurant, kitchen workers acknowledged us. We seated ourselves and sat for close to 10 minutes without anyone coming to our table so we left. This was my second bad experience at this establishment and I won’t be going back.

Stellar food and service. Had the grilled chicken sandwich with risotto which was fantastic. More impressive, though, was our server, Nick. Totally attentive and worked hard. The house made tootsie rolls were a good touch, but the service is really what made this experience shine.

We tried going to M’ Osteria for the first time last night and I’ve never been treated so crappy. Not sure if the guy at the host stand was the owner but he made it clear that our little party of four was not important to him. First, it took him 15 minutes to even acknowledge our presence. Then he asked whether we had a reservation and I said no because it’s a party of four.(They don’t take reservations for 6 or less). He said they were completely full with reservations, practically dismissing us. So I asked how that was possible if they don’t take reservations for less than six. He just shrugged and said they were completely full. I asked how long the wait would be and he said«at least an hour», clearly not willing to take our name down. We fully expected a wait on a Saturday evening but never expected to be treated so rudely. I was excited to have a new restaurant to try but the service we experienced without even eating there was the worst. We will never go back.

We were so excited to try for our first time M’ Osteria on Monroe Street Downtown Toledo. We were sadly disappointed with super slow service. Kitchen lost our tickets taking an hour and a half for our appetizer to arrive. Pizza was taking tasty, Caesar salads too. No apologies were made for bad service, no comps on our bill either. We won’t go back:( Marcia from Perrysburg

As you may have guessed, the pizza at M’ Osteria is basically«Marco’s pizza.» And, like the pizza from any Marco’s franchise here in town, or anywhere else, it’s usually pretty good. Sometimes it’s exceptionally good. Regarding the other food selections, I was just a little disappointed by the quality of the dishes. Disappointed but not too surprised(Really? The pizza dude is gonna cook traditional Italian food??) Most of the food rates«3 to 4 stars» in my book, especially if you consider that’s it’s a bit overpriced. The atmosphere is outstanding. Its upscale. It’s urban. It’s simultaneously modern and classic. Yes, it looks like money! The upstairs lounge, in particular, is a fantastic place to spend some time regardless of the mood you’re in. There are spots to chill, and spots to get a little loud. The service is a little slow. I’ve been there at peak hours, and off hours. Always a little slow. One last thing, with regard to the«first tip,» view-able on the mobile app: Yes, there is a dress code for the upstairs lounge, and the tip alleges that the owners have racist motivations for the dress code. Ironically, however, the tip itself is predicated upon at least two racist stereotypes/assumptions. Furthermore, the tip demonstrates a general ignorance of Toledo and it’s neighborhoods. Here’s what the tip should say: «It’s always nice when a poor Italian family immigrates to the U.S., and through hard work, dedication, astute decision making, and gutsy risk taking, strikes it rich in the pizza business. They then choose to invest their hard earned money into a cool establishment that will obviously help to revitalize Downtown Toledo. Moral of the story: M’ Osteria and Bar is a kick-ass establishment; thanks Pat Giammarco. Satisfying.»

Went here for a work lunch and enjoyed the pizza that I had. Nice crust and good flavor. Service was good for lunch but I would like to come here at night and experience dinner. Overall pleased.

The food was good, but the service was poor. I had cheese burger that resembled a meatball covered in cheese and put on a hamburger buns. The drinks are good though and the prices are very reasonable.

Service was solid, and food was a 3.5−4 out of five. We had a variety if dishes and apps, and the stand out item believe it or not were the fries… holy amazing. Pillowy center, crisp outside, with sea salt and a hint of rosemary. Get the fries! Pastas were great and fresh, and the porchetta sandwich was great too — made with pork belly. Will be back the next time we’re in Toledo.

This was our first time trying this restaurant, and had heard mixed reviews, although mostly positive. When walking in, I was very impressed with the atmosphere and décor. I thought it was trendy, and well done. We were a bit disappointed with the food and service, not bad by any means. First on the food. We ordered a beef carpacio special, and found it, and the overall preparation to have very little flavor. We also ordered a speciality pizza, which was better, and then the special dessert, which also had very little flavor. The other issue was with the service. The server was very friendly and attentive, but every time we asked a question, he never knew the answer. How much was the beef? I don’t know. Tell us a little about it? I don’t know. What about the dessert, seems different, can you tell us about that? Same reply. He did do his best to find out the answers, but these were pretty simply requests, and really things he should have known. Will we try it again — yes, as a newer restaurant, and we always like to see the downtown restaurants do well, but we will certainly hope for a better second experience.

Working downtown, a friend and I met at M Osteria Bar & Lounge for lunch. Arriving at 12:15, they were moderately busy with the lunch rush, so it took a few minutes before we were seated. We had enough time to look over the menu and select an appetizer before our waitress approached, so we ordered garlic knots as well as our drinks(an iced tea for me, a black coffee for my friend). It took some time for our waitress to return with our drinks, but perhaps she had spent extra time hand-crafting a cappuccino, as that is what she gave my friend, rather than a black coffee(he said he was pretty happy as he had wanted a cappuccino, but felt they were way too expensive). We then placed our food orders, with me getting the porchetta sandwich. This made my total bill with tax $ 19.85, which was definitely on the pricey end for lunch downtown. The décor was absolutely fantastic, with the ultra-modern restaurant accents contrasting beautifully with the historic red brick walls of the restaurant’s industrial past. The two combined together to give the establishment a vibrant atmosphere, which I imagine is especially hip with the upscale evening crowd there for dinner and the lounge. That said, it was a good thing that there were plenty of fine accoutrements to take in, as it took a surprisingly long time for first our appetizer to arrive, and then even longer for our main entrees. When the garlic knots arrived, they were … ok. Based on other reviews mentioning this appetizer, we had high hopes, but found them to be not garlicy at all, and so crispy as to be nearly overdone. Yet making up for that disappointment was my porchetta sandwich, which, once it finally arrived, was very nearly magical with its deliciousness! Easily the finest porchetta I have ever had, each bite melted in my mouth like a morsel from heaven. While the accompanying spiced fries were good in and of themselves, they paled in comparison to the wonder that was the porchetta. Likewise getting refills for our drinks was slow, and my friend’s black coffee-turned-cappuccino changed back into a black coffee with his refill. While I absolutely loved the porchetta and really liked the restaurant’s atmosphere, it could not completely make up for the disappointing appetizer, inconsistent drinks, and overall slow service. As such, I rate M Osteria Bar & Lounge as Good and would return.

The first night we came here they were closing an hour early and the kitchen was being cleaned. I was a little baffled as that was new to me. I was under the assumption that closing time is rather static for restaurants, but maybe I am mistaken. The next night, we had more luck and were seated upstairs. At first glance, it is a cute date-night place, modern and clean. We split the Bianco pizza and Bolognese. Pasta and dough are made in-house and you can tell. Both were absolutely delicious and deserve 4 stars, but the menial service left this gem with 3. Would definitely try again when back in Toledo.

Stopped in for dinner before a Mud Hens game. We ordered two pizzas & a couple salads to split. The pizzas we got were, PUTTANESCA&BIANCO. The Bianco was awesome. We sat upstairs, LOVE the atmosphere! Will be back :)

When word of a Pat Giammarco(Founder of Marco’s Pizza) backed Italian restaurant opening downtown Toledo got out, I was intrigued. How would a delivery pizza chain tycoon interpret fine dining Italian? Clearly a boat load of money went into the buildout of this new restaurant. Beyond the classic warehouse district red brick walls, everything else is brand spanking new. The atmosphere is killer, and definitely on the higher end side of things. As for the food, it was pretty good, but definitely over priced. We started out with a handful of appetizers. The charcuterie & cheese board was ok. The meats were delicious, but they totally skimp on the cheese. The garlic butter knots were devoured by the table, as were the risotto croquettes, though a little skimpy in portion for the price. As for the lamb meatballs? They were served lukewarm and were very crumbly. We all agreed they really weren’t that good but I did like the accompanying arugula pesto QUITE a bit. It went quite well with the garlic butter nut. Yum! The pancetta and onion soup looked so so good. Filled with a ton of onions, and served in a large bowl, my buddy loved it. Another friend ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich, which looked really hearty. She was quite frustrated that she couldn’t swap out her french fries for the fingerling potatoes. The server told us the kitchen didn’t allow substitutions like that. Sheesh… Charge the extra $ 2 for the difference on the menu, and let your customers have what they want. Also, she asked for no peppers but there were definitely peppers on her sandwich. Oh well. My wife ordered the puttanesca pizza, and I gotta say… it was somewhat underwhelming. I guess because of the 30+ years of pizza industry experience the owner brings to the table, I wanted to be wowed. The toppings were great, don’t get me wrong, but the thin crust just wasn’t great. I expected great. As for my entrée? As soon as I saw braised short ribs on the menu, I had to try them. I went back and forth on wether I should get the sandwich on ciabatta with fontina cheese, or the much more expensive version with fingerling potatoes and roasted carrots. I went with #2 because it was $ 26 versus the $ 12 for the sandwich and I assumed that extra $ 14 would equal $ 14 more razzle dazzle. What arrived was, basically a Wendy’s hamburger shaped portion of stunning meat. It was melt in your mouth delicious. Perfectly seasoned with a glorious demi-glacé. The roasted carrots were perfect, and the 4(yes four) fingerling potatoes were also nice. But seriously, for the cost, I think the $ 12 sandwich is probably a MUCH better deal. While succulent and perfectly seasoned, it was a laughable portion for the price. M’ Osteria is a fantastic addition to the downtown ecosystem, and it’s really great to have even more options to bring more people into the mix. It will be interesting to see how this place settles in to the city. We’ll definitely be back.

My co-worker and I were the first arrivals for lunch on a Wednesday, soon followed by a party of five and a party of three. We placed an order for an appetizer of garlic knots when our server brought our drinks, and we proceeded to peruse the menu. They have a good selection of burgers and paninis for lunch, along with salads and soups and pricier entrees. The five-top got their lunch order taken before we did, but our server came out with our garlic knots shortly thereafter and took our orders then. The garlic knots were superb — warm and fluffy on the inside, just a little crusty on the outside. I ended up ordering the porchetta(pronounced with a hard c, not a ch, in case you’ve forgotten your Italian pronunciation rules — and pause on that double-t for a moment), and my co-worker ordered the chicken parmigiana. The pork belly was fatty(as it should be) and delicious, with a subtle aioli that added a great flavor. My co-worker’s sandwich, she said, had fantastic cheese, but the roasted red pepper slice was too overpowering for her. The fries that come with were seasoned with oregano, which I thought was fantastic, but my dining partner thought was a little odd. We did witness the five-top next to us having a minor snafu with their orders: two out of the five were incorrect or missing and had to be remade. They got theirs just as my co-worker and I were finishing up. It wasn’t my problem, so I don’t know if they got comped anything for their wait. I have every intention of taking another of my co-workers here in a couple of weeks. So far, M Osteria has earned a place on my short list of places to eat lunch downtown!

The place hasn’t done a great deal of advertising yet, but my lady and I stopped in earlier this week. The food is Italian, so it’s a welcome addition to downtown Toledo, because downtown has more than it’s share of pub food(burgers and fries, etc.). The place was busy, but the service was good despite the fact that the place has only been open for a few weeks. The décor in the place has a modern, industrial feel that I really enjoyed. The food was above average, and once they hit their stride, I’m confident they’ll do extremely well. Again, I’m just glad that we are getting more diverse food options in the city’s core, and M Osteria is a nice complement to the other places to eat downtown.
