Description

Specialties

Here at Gathered Art we specialize in local handmade glass. Our Gallery features many local, as well as some national and international artists. We also have our own working hotshop where we make all of our handmade glass items including, cups, flowers, vases, and many other seasonal items. In addition to making our own work we are very happy to be able to provide the Toledo community with opportunities to make their own glass object. Check our website for events dates.

History

Established in 2012.

After graduating from Bowling Green State University Gathered Art Gallery owner Adam Goldberg was looking for a way to keep making his art. He realized that many other young local artists needed not just a place to work but also somewhere to sell their art.

He began work to renovate the space for Gathered Art Gallery and together with Eli Lipman and Mike Stevens built Gathered Studio, our fully equipped hot shop.

Since then Gathered Studio has come out with several original glass designs and continues to attract glass blowers who enjoy working in our unique space.

Artists who display in our Gallery appreciate the care with which we maintained the attitude of our historic building and the vibrant community here at Gathered.

Meet the Business Owner

Adam G.

Business Owner

Adam graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts. His focus has always been in glass; but he enjoys working with Industrial Age materials, found in the warehouses of Gathered, to design tables and displays. Adam has received travel grants and fellowships, and has worked with well known artists around the US and Japan.

Adam has designed many of Gathered’s signature pieces and heads up the production team. Adam also works closely with Catherine Clements to keep the gallery and hot shop running smoothly.
