Consign-It

After having been a customer for several years, both buying and selling, I felt comfortable calling Tony to consign my daughter’s old bedroom set. I called Thursday morning, August 29 and was greeted on the phone by the rudest, most dismissive person I have ever encountered from a retail establishment. If the voice on the phone is supposed to represent the face of the company, this man did nothing but make me want to run in the opposite direction. He was extremely disinterested, kept asking me to repeat what I was saying, then finally said «just what do you want?» When I asked to speak to Tony, he gave me his email address. Tony got back to me fairly promptly, but when I explained that I needed someone to pick-​up the items (even though I would be charged extra for this service), it appeared as though that was going to be a huge inconvenience to them because he was very abrupt when this came up. In fact, the first time I inquired about a pick-​up service, he didn’t even answer my question. I was given the number to call and arrange the service myself, which I did. By the time he called me back, I had sold my daughter’s furniture myself.

Love Consign-​It Toledo! Tony is great to work with for putting furniture, etc. in consignment and the purchases have been great. This is a good store for gently used and/​or brand new items! Super easy to get in and out of and the staff is very courteous. Oh and I do like the antique side of the store. Very eclectic!

This is a great resale store. There was a lot of merchandise. It was set up like a nice furniture store. The people are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back when I am in the area.
