Specialties
Toledo Architectural Artifacts specializes in antique, vintage architectural salvage: reclaimed doors, hardware, mantels, garden items, lighting, building elements, plumbing, windows, stair parts & more. Located in an 1878, 30,000 sq ft, old brick warehouse in Toledo’s historic Warehouse District.
History
Established in 1994.
Created in 1994, out a desire to preserve items that could be reused in renovation projects or new construction instead of ending up in the landfill. The inventory has become a huge mix of architecturally interesting building materials of all types & unique decorative elements from all periods of history.
Meet the Business Owner
Jane and Bob Cairl C.
Business Owner
Owners, Jane and Bob, came from an art & advertising background. Always having loved unique design elements, of all types & all periods of history, they decided to change career directions in 1994 & create Toledo Architectural Artifacts. Feeling the time was right & strong proponents of historic preservation, TAA has become a haven for so many items, from antique plumbing to old wavy glass… all those elements that many feel are no longer desirable or pertinent. «Are we glad we did this business? It was one of the best decisions of our lives!» 16 years & still going.
