Absolutely had a blast here. It’s well marked which is of the utmost importance to this girl. I always am afraid I’m going to get lost in the woods and never find my way home again. There was much to see and while some of the terrain was rocky it forced my son to slow down and look around him and see things he might have normally breezed by. It’s the simple things to me. The toad he found or the snail he picked up in the little steam or the troll bridge he noticed. We will be going back because we easily could have done all the trails in a short amount of time. I also hope next time we go the horses are out. The pictures I saw of them on Unilocal were beautiful. It’s very kid friendly, well maintained and you can bring your dogs. I saw dogs both on and off leashes which I know must make some very happy. It was a fantastic day for us and I plan on going back.

Weetamoe Woods & Pardon Gray Preserve is a great local getaway for those who prefer life outdoors. Get’s all five stars for all it’s got and all it’s not. This is one of the better walks in the woods that doesn’t take a long drive to get to. And there’s a few local Tiverton/Little Compton haunts within easy strike… like Gray’s Ice Cream in the summertime. Easy, well-marked trails with diversity of trees and terrain. A good place to do beginning topo hikes as well. You can spend a half-hour or all day and stay distracted. Great place to take your canine friends… SQUIRREL…on a leash in any kind of weather or season.
