Do NOT go!!! Worst service I’ve EVER had. Rude, full of excuses and not professional especially when it comes to customer dis-​satisfaction. They do not keep you informed and they do not give you proper delivery time frame. Originally told 1 week for glasses 2 weeks for contacts. Received my glasses a month later and contacts over 2 months later. I’ve spoken with them on the phone a number of times, not once have I left the phone conversation feeling anything positive. All I can think is their company must not want repeat business. Even asked them to make this right with me, never once attempted anything but ‘I’m sorry” followed by pathetic personal excuses and negative nasty tones. On top of that they told me on my first visit I was paying for my glasses and that my contacts were covered in full by my insurance. I asked again when I picked up my glasses if that was still the case and was told yes, they are covered and I will not be charged when I pick up my contacts. I picked them up and was charged another $ 50. When I asked why when they told me before there was no other charges, I got another ‘sorry, I don’t know what you want me to say’ followed by an explanation of charge like I’m a moron that can’t do math. I repeat do NOT go here! Oh and I was not a Livingsocial coupon user, if that helps.

the place have the worst customer service. NEVER AGAIN… they are just rude

Oh man. Ohhh man. I don’t often give bad reviews, but this place really earned it. I went to Precision Vision when it was located in Towson (they recently moved). I went to Dr. Gnanakkin, and he was very nice and seemed knowledgable. He measured me for contact lenses, and I said I thought they felt funny but I would give them a try. By the next day, it was clear they didn’t fit at all: one contact kept coming out when I blinked, and the other wasn’t clear. I called back up to get another appointment, and Dr. G tried another type of contacts, which were even worse. I tried them out for a day, but they were so painful that I couldn’t even wear them. I called to explain the situation and make another appointment, and only the other doctor, Dr. Glasser was available. The contacts were so painful that I couldn’t wear them, so I was wearing glasses when I got to the office.
Up until this point, I was only slightly dismayed. This many tries to get contacts that fit was pretty exasperating. But my third visit, with Dr. Glasser, is what earned the one star review. I get to the office, and Dr. Glasser is completely aghast that I did not wear my contacts to the appointment. He yelled at me for being unprepared and wasting his time. I explained that, as I had said on the phone, they were too painful to wear. Instead of letting this go, (this thing he shouldn’t even have brought up in the first place) he just keeps going:
Why didn’t I just put them in before I left my house? Well I couldn’t see out of them, and I need to see to drive.
Why didn’t I put them in when I was in the waiting room then?
I just kept staring at him, and explaining multiple times that the contact lenses didn’t fit and hurt my eyes, shocked that he could not wrap his head around this concept.
He finally lets it go with the condescending statement: «In the future, never arrive at an eye doctor appointment without your contact lenses in.»
Horribly rude, and completely inappropriate. Also, the new pair of contacts he gave me were the wrong prescription, and I was so eager to get out of there that I didn’t notice. I had to call the front desk the next day and pick up another test pair of my original prescription just to get through the week. To give credit where it is due, Renee at the desk was very nice and helpful the whole time.
I ended up waiting for Dr. Gnanakkin to be in the office again and making a FOURTH appointment, during which I got contact lenses that still didn’t fit right, but they were OK, so I settled for that pair. I was exhausted. Never again. I go to the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute now, and they got the lenses right on the first try. I don’t care that they don’t take my insurance. It is worth it to not be yelled at for breach of arbitrary optometrist etiquette.

Awful. Came here on the LivingSocial deal (pay $ 35 for $ 225 store credit).
There is a huge selection of frames, but none of them are worth the prices charged. No designer whatsoever, and the presentation is abysmal. It’s literally just a room with walls lined with shelves with a bunch of frames sitting on them. Boxes and displays are scattered.
The exam itself seemed about par for the course, but despite being told that my girlfriend (whom also purchased the LivingSocial deal) and I would receive our prescriptions in the mail, we had to physically return to the store three weeks later to have them printed and given to us.
I saw nothing that was worth buying at the Pikesville location, so I headed to the Timonium location the next day. Ultimately, I settled on a pair of Beverly Hills Polo Club frames, which were $ 185. After adding the UV/​glare-​free layering and scratch resistance, the total came to $ 425 — $ 225 of which was already covered by my LivingSocial deal, leaving me to pay $ 200 out of pocket. I paid half up-​front. I was told that they would be ready in 5 to 10 business days.
Over the course of the four weeks leading up to today, I have called a total of 6 times (between both of their locations: Timonium and Pikesville) and left three voicemails — all of which went unanswered. Finally, today, I was able to get in touch with the manager regarding the status of our glasses. He claimed that my girlfriend’s frames were on back-​order and that both of our glasses were ready for pick-​up this morning. We heard nothing about this back-​order.
I told him that I would be by at a later time to pick up both sets of glasses (my girlfriend paid 100% of hers upfront — mistake), but that I was unwilling to pay the outstanding $ 100.
After citing the following reasons:
–poor communication
–poor customer service (the male receptionist at the Timonium location, specifically)
–finding similar frames for significantly cheaper elsewhere
–finding better (designer) frames for a similar price /​cheaper elsewhere
–it has been a month, when we were promised «5 – 10 business days»
–i took the prescription information and ordered some high-​end designer frames from
and received them in under a week; whereas their process took what seems like forever.
I was told that, if I refused to pay the full remainder of my balance — $ 100 — I would not receive either pair of glasses — at least that’s how he worded it. It was at this point that I told him his two options were to either refund both my original $ 100 as well as 100% of my girlfriend’s payment or we would both go through our respective card companies to issue a charge-​back.
He told me that he was not willing to issue a refund for either pair of glasses, but mentioned that he would speak to the owners by Friday and return my call. It is Wednesday now; I will be updating this Friday.
Long story short: Save yourself the headache and avoid the ludicrous overcharging. Get an eye exam, find out your prescription, head to
and get a pair of designer frames (Emporio Armani, Balenciaga, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, etc) with more lens options for cheaper. You’ll get them sooner, too. Waste of time this was.

So you need glasses and you see a pretty good deal on a coupon site from Precision Vision. Let me tell you… DON’T DO IT! This experience has been the worse of my coupon experiences. I will never set foot in this place again. It was every stereotype of horrendous customer service you could have.
It’s small. I don’t mind that. But it’s cluttered. I do mind that. If I want clutter, I can stay home. This is supposed to be a business. I should not see stacks of boxes of patient files and random crap just strewn around. Not only is it cluttered, it’s dusty… probably because it’s impossible to dust with so much clutter.
I place an order for sun glasses. Two days later, I went to Costco and bought two pairs of regular glasses. A week and a half after that, I went to Katzen and bought another pair of sunglasses. The three pairs of glasses I bought were ready before the first pair I ordered from Precision. I called three days in a row about the status of my glasses and was told someone would contact me… noone ever did. It wasn’t until I demanded my money back that they miraculously found my glasses — the one and only call. Maybe it was because of the clutter they were lost in the first place.
I pick up my glasses and she gives them to me in some dollar store case. W. T. F. I just paid $ 400 for Coach glasses — WTF is the case? «We don’t have any».some straight BS. I just bought Coach glasses from Costco that cost $ 140 and came with the damn case! This low budget place charges a premium for name brand glasses and shorts its customers on the case. Now I wonder if my glasses aren’t knock-​offs.
Avoid this place like the plague. Do not buy that coupon!

Came here on a special also. ATROCIOUS. Zero customer service, the receptionists were curt at best. We were told it would be 7 – 10 days for the glasses to come in. Two weeks later we called and were unapologetically told they’d take our number and call the lab to see what the status was and call us back. We heard nothing. We called again a week later and spoke with an incredibly rude man who told us there was «nothing he could do,» he was just an «operator, all the receptionists were busy.» He took our name and number and told us he’d have someone call us. Again, no calls. We called literally 5 times over the course of their listed business hours in one day, no one ever answered the phone. It’s been a month now and we cannot get a hold of anyone, nor have we received our glasses. I’m starting to think this place is a scam.

rude staff, bad selection, abysmal customer service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere they value clientele

I also came here on a LivingSocial deal, and while I can see where the previous reviewer is coming from, my experience did not seem nearly as bad.
1. The receptionist, Renee, was never rude per se — she was nice and personable for the most part, but didn’t really seem like the type to go above and beyond the call of duty. I didn’t get any heat for using the LS coupon, but I think there’s a period of adjustment after a business signs up for a group discount deal like LS or Groupon where they are bombarded with more traffic than they’ve ever seen and aren’t quite adept at handling it. I find it best to wait at least a month to use non-​food Groupons/​LS.
2. The location is small, and their selection of glasses is also relatively small. However, they did have a large selection of Michael Kors frames for both men and women. This was the only section I looked at and I found the perfect pair in less than five minutes. In contrast, I’ve looked at other places — Lenscrafters, Pearl Vision — and couldn’t find anything close to the perfect pair after hours of searching.
I purchased the LS coupon that included about $ 200 or so towards the costs of glasses. This covered my lenses — I have a strong prescription that requires the thinner lenses and anti-​glare coating. The Michael Kors frames I chose were $ 190 — which was about twice as much as I found the same frames online, but I figure the $ 190 in this case includes the cost of my lenses. All in all, a very reasonable price for designer glasses.
3. The wait did take a while. I was told 7 – 10 business days, but on the 11−12^th day, after I called twice, Renee finally told me that there was some mix-​up on the ordering of my lenses and they came without the anti-​glare coating. They were waiting on my re-​ordered lenses to come in, so I had to wait a couple of extra days.
The doctor is really nice and it’s easy to make natural conversation with him about what you do and what not. I have a relatively rare eye disorder and he was actually pretty knowledgeable of it — something I don’t find often with optometrists.
