Gabriel’s Salon & Day Spa

I recently came in with my bridal party to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding. I don’t really have much of anything positive to say unfortunately. I absolutely hate the way my hair turned out, it was tight and harsh looking around my face and any curls they had given me fell out as soon as I left when I had specifically stated I wanted a loose, romantic, curled look. During my trial, my hair was also pretty tight and the stylist assured me time and time again they would create much more volume on the day of and loosen it up. I was too afraid to tell the stylist that I didn’t like my hair on my wedding day though as they had been rude and mean all morning and made me feel really uncomfortable and I was unsure if there would be any type of backlash if I had asked them to re-​do anything (never mind the fact that we were running almost an hour behind schedule and we had no time to fix anything or else I would be late for my ceremony!) I regret not saying anything enormously though, because now when I look at my pictures from my wedding day all I can see is my horrendous hair that looks like I have a striped zebra head from braids that are pulled so tight against my scalp and stringy straight hair down the back. (for the record, I’m blessed with a long full head of hair that I can curl and have it stay in for a whole day and through to the next if I wanted). I would not recommend going to this salon for your wedding if you want to have a relaxing and pleasant time on the day of your wedding and you want you hair to come out like you envisioned. It is seriously the one thing I would change about my entire wedding looking back.
(Many of my bridesmaids got their hair done by Scott though, and he did a wonderful job on them and was extremely pleasant and welcoming)

I made an appointment back in April for my OCTOBER wedding. My name, phone number, a time, number of women, and an estimate of services was all «written down». After calling yesterday to confirm this appointment, it had somehow NEVER been written down. Great organization.
I asked to speak to a manager and was told I’d receive a call back. This happened about three times where I would call, leave a message with someone and wait for a phone call back from the manager. I never received a phone call back.
I have taken my business elsewhere because the frustration is overwhelming. In order to run a successful business, the organization of communication needs to occur. Unfortunately, this salon just proved that they’re not as professional as their website might fool you into thinking.
Steer clear.

great salon, easy to get to and I always love my hair after Scott is done with it! have also had massage and pedis here before, and all were excellent. would definitely recommend, and if going for hair services, ask for Scott!
