Saturday 12 – 1 there was nobody in here. We should have taken that as a sign not to go in but we went ahead anyway. First off the waitress was sorta spacey, had to repeat everything twice because she couldn’t remember. Second the food was expensive and not good. $ 60 for 2 adults and 2 kids to eat lunch? Not good! The calamari was sunder cooked and came with a very weird sauce, not cocktail or tartar. None of the food was very good and way to expensive. Won’t be back!

We went here for lunch. It wasn’t anything spectacular. There were two other tables with people at them. Service was good. Food was subpar.

Had lunch and mixed feelings. Service was good and kitchen responded quickly. Burger was not too good, particularly wilted lettuce. Cole slaw was very good. Chicken pot pie special not very good. Based on experience, I suppose this is as good as any place in Tillamook. Price was fair, neither too high nor too low. Parking was easy.

Good food, great price! Tuesday night and we had the entire dining room to ourselves. That seemed very odd… If I lived closer I think I could be a regular there.

Good service. Our waitress recommended the jambalaya as it was fresh made. Since I’m from Louisiana we decided to get and it was good, especially since we are in North west where the only spicy food known is nexican. Eaten in many restaurants here in tilli and we will be back to this one.

Had a nice Thanksgiving eve dinner here on our way out to Tierra Del Mar. Not many souls out in the Tillamook downtown, but having a waitress and cook all to ourselves means we were pretty spoiled. The building itself is old and a bit musty, but most buildings in Tillamook are. I ordered the battered cod and steak fries, along with a cup of chowder. All were fresh and not greasy, and the chowder was amazing– a must try if you stop by here. Hubby had the Cobb salad with a side of steak fries and also enjoyed his meal. We will definitely be back in the future!

Great lunch! we both had the Chicken Fried Sandwich: big chicken tender with bacon and cole slaw on sourdough bread. Chicken was moist and flavor ful, cole slaw was excellent. Great bread. Fries were good. Full sandwich $ 9.95 each. Try it!

Great food, great service, awesome drinks, DJ on the weekends, and a private covered smoking area. What more could you ask for?

TERRIBLE Being someone that loves to explore different kinds of places and settings I thought this would be a good experience. It turned out however that this was not the case. The night time server was affable and seemingly experienced. However it was«gin night» and around 11o’clock and I had ordered my first drink. It came in a normal cocktail glass and tasted like the juice I drink in the morning with my breakfast. I understood that it could be because due to the evening it was only going to cost me $ 2.50. After that I asked if it could be a tiny bit stronger so she corrected the price to $ 3.00 per drink which was still great, considering I bought five. After that I had bought three more drinks and somehow this all adds up to $ 50.00. I didn’t understand and almost felt taken advantage of when I called the next day to sort it out. I learned a real lesson though this that people can’t be trusted to do the right thing because when I tried to sort it out the day manager decided to give a big amount of attitude toward my concern and then tell me that since she sees my signature on a slip that to her I quote–«That’s $ 25.00 bucks laying out there for grabs.» *laughs –Donna She basically admitted to being okay with money being stolen and even had the audacity to(at the very beginning) tell me that since I was there to buy alcohol I wasn’t in the best state of mind to be upset about this. Absolutely insane! I have lived in downtown portland for three years now after growing up in Tillamook and keeping track of how many Well quality drinks I ordered in an hour is like breathing. I have never been thus treated at a bar in my entire life and I will never again go there nor recommend it to anyone with an added care in the world for the numbers that run through their checking accounts, or the customer service they receive.

What a random surprise! My boyfriend and I were looking for a drink and hopefully a bite to eat. We decided to pop into the Rendezvous for a drink, and ask for some recommendations on where to get some good seafood and clam chowder. The bar tender was adamant that they had the best clam chowder around. I’m glad we took her recommendation! The drinks were stiff, the food was great and the patrons were definitely entertaining. I had a French dip, with house roasted beef. Killer! The clam chowder was definitely some of the best I’ve had. Will definitely come back and visit next time I’m out on the coast.

The Red apple inn rest. was closed this morning so we had to find another place to have breakfast in Tillamook. Hardley any reviews for The Rendezvous and the two listed are quite old, so what the hey, maybe someone will find this of some help. Not a bad place. There were a few groups of people here at around 8:30 am. Our waitress was very nice and told us what the special was. My coffee was very weak. It tasted like water with coffee flavoring, but it was hot and they had the flavored little creamers so… I got the special that was pancakes, eggs and bacon for five dollars. Everything tasted fine. Not greasy or under/overcooked just average. My husband said his omelette was good and I snuck some of his potatoes off his plate and they were crispy, warm reg. potatoes. Despite the coffee, I will come back since there are so very few breakfast choices in Tillamook.

This place is so good that when we were in town, we went twice! We had the best service and Kathy our waitress even remembered us! The food was amazing and had to get the same thing twice! I can’t wait to go back again when I’m in town!

Passing through Tillamook on a Friday night, we decided to stop for some dinner. I’m always apprehensive about finding a restaurant in this area because the choices are usually pretty dismal. This night turned out to be no exception. When we walked into the Rendezvous, we should have turned right around and walked out when we saw there was no one there. Bad sign. Friday night at 6:30…empty. They had a sign with specials. Prime rib Friday and Saturday nights. Now, how bad can prime rib be??? So we sat down and ordered. I ordered a med rare cut and DH ordered the cajun version. When am I ever going to listen to my first instincts??? The salad came with a roll… it was burnt on top. Geez… I was hungry so I still didn’t leave. Next comes the prime rib. Pretty darn pink/red, but I can hang. The veggies(carrots, broccoli, cauliflower) was an unrecognizable mess! This crap must have been sitting in a steam table since lunch. This stuff was a big pile of baby food. Disgusting. I dig into my prime rib. I guess I should say I started sawing into my prime rib! This thing was so tough I couldn’t eat it. The waitress comes over to see if everything is ok and I tell her that the prime rib is really very tough. She says«I’m so sorry, there’s nothing I can do about that»! UHHHHHH??? How about taking this slop back and offering me something else? Nope… the thought never occurred to her. She goes away and comes back later saying«I sure hope you’ll come back again and try the sirloin, it’s so tender and juicy and wonderful. I’m eating one right now!» Unbelievable! Why didn’t she offer to bring me one? At this point I was so disgusted with her customer service I certainly didn’t feel like educating her how to do her job. She took away my plate which was barely touched. She took $ 6 off my bill and offered me a dessert on the house. Dessert??? I HAVEN’T EATENDINNERYET!!! The fact that the food was bad is not why I left so upset. Don’t people get that it’s all about customer service? Yes, it would have been nice to have had a nice meal, but things happen in the kitchen sometimes, but because of the attitude of the waitress and the woman who was in the kitchen who didn’t know I could hear her, I will never go back into this restaurant. It’s a good thing this place has a bar, because I’m sure that’s the only way The Rendezvous could ever stay in business. Get ‘em drunk and serve them crap!

Believe it or not, I’ve been here for over two years and only just last night made it to The Rendezvous for the first time. Ms. K. was meeting some friends from the local play she is in after rehearsal and they chose the Rendezvous. She was craving some mozzarella sticks and was told that this place had good ones, so off they went. I met up with them a little later. Apparently the fried cheese *was* good, so that’s a plus. I had a whiskey on ice, which you can’t screw up. Ms. K. had a SoCo Sour as well as a Nuts and Berries. The bartender made the Nuts and Berries per my instructions as she had not heard of it before(in her defense, many/most bars haven’t). A minus is the bartender’s inability to make a margarita. Somehow she screwed it up, and apparently tried to remedy it with Squirt(wtf?). So, definitely don’t order margaritas here. This is definitely a towny bar. It’s where all the yokels go, which is fine. I was torn between two stars and three stars and decided to round up(support your local businesses and all that).
