Quality Inn

It not as bad as everyone is saying… this place was ok. the hallways needed vacuumed and the pillows were weird and small. I thought I wouldn’t be able to sleep. BUT SURPRISING SLEPT LIKE A baby. contenental breakfast was free but nothing but carbohydrates.. We asked for a toothbrush as we were stuck out of town unexpectedly, they had none. they did give us some scope mouthwash so that was nice. the people were friendly.

I’m writing this as I lay in this bed unable to sleep due to the smell. It’s dirty shoes on! I’ve got the window wide open ac on high. It’s bad. It’s also creepy it does not feel safe. Checking out early.

Definitely not as bad as a lot of the reviews state. But certainly not incredible either.
Pros:
–close to freeway, shops, mall
–newer looking rooms
–decent breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit)
–fairly clean rooms
Cons:
–microwaves are nearly non-​existent here, none at the breakfast bar or in the rooms so you are basically forced to ask the front desk to microwave your food (or drink)
–no fridges in the rooms (this should be a crime at even cheap hotels). Yay for room temp water and refilling the ice bucket constantly!
–light out above our sink
–the tub does not plug, which I’m sure is intentional as they don’t want to guests taking baths in order to conserve water, pretty ridiculous none the less.
–dirty elevators and floors in hallways
One star for the breakfast and one star for the rest. Minus 3 stars for all of the cons.

Room is just enough for 1 person, but more than that and there is no room to move around. The bed is comfy, the small pillows are interesting. I enjoyed the desk and office chair. The sofa chair with ottoman was nice too!
They really need to fix the bulbs in the outside sign (street side) and lamps leading up to the hotel, I couldn’t find it very easily. Also, it looks basic outside, the lobby is lovely, the hallways are creepy and the rooms are quite nice.
The bathroom is HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I enjoyed the size of the shower and the little coffee pot, and freebies they left before I checked in.
Cons: Floor 2 smells funky! Parking lot is poorly lit and its a good hike to get to where you need to be from parking if you didn’t get a spot in front or back.

I cannot stress how disgusting this hotel is. Please don’t stay here!
We were there, along with many family members, for a wedding. All but one of us had to change rooms due to them being filthy, or other issues.
When we first arrived, with my 2 year old child, someone was smoking on our floor. We were informed the hotel is non smoking, yet the staff did nothing proactive to fix the problem. We were told that the person smoking would be charged for damages, and that they would «spray» (which they did do, I know, because the elevator smelled like someone set off a bug bomb in it). The smoke was so thick, my throat was burning, I have asthma, and of course my child was there. The entire hallway was affected, though whoever was smoking was doing so inside their room. I expect staff to go knocking on doors, when it’s that bad. We insisted on being moved to a different floor.
Our new room was on the 4^th floor, and we found that the window opens wide, and there are no bars, screens, or other safety features to keep a small child from falling out the window. Obviously can keep window shut, but we needed fresh air in the room. Not to mention, in the box where a fire hose was supposed to be, it was empty. Safety codes are not being followed here. My aunt’s room was absent of a smoke detector. Probably so people can smoke at their will… both my daughter and I, and my mother we’re getting bug bites, from our room. Still paranoid it was bed bugs.
Another aunt Changed rooms 3 times; first room had a condom in the bed, second room had feces all over the toilet.
Another family member’s room had towels hung up that were damp, and smelled of cleaning chemicals, and apparently were used to clean with. Many people found pubic hairs in their bedding. Absolutely disgusting. We were refunded 2 of the 3 nights we stayed, however it should have been a full refund. It happened to be labor day weekend, so nearby hotels were booked. This place should be shut down.

Our family stayed at this «hotel» last weekend for a local soccer tournament. Bottom line — DO NOT STAY HERE. THIS IS A HORRIBLY DIRTY HOTEL. Our family does not require a Hilton but we do expect cleanliness, especially for 293 for 2 nights! Their own motto is something like «less expense — same expectations». Whatever. They had totally non existent customer service and dirty and gross rooms. Their statement is:

Let me tell you they should have paid us to stay. I have emailed guest relations as well as corporate headquarters to request a refund but sadly I have heard nothing back from them. Here is a list of a few things our team encountered this past weekend:
Several of us had to wait 45 minutes or longer for check in. There were only two people working and they appeared disorganized, at best.
I observed them send 3 people (over the course of Friday afternoon and night) to rooms which were already occupied.
There were several irate customers (unrelated to our team) complaining loudly while we were in line, about other issues.
One of our team members was given a key to a dirty room with cigarettes and beer bottles sitting around. She had to wait until after our game at 10 to get another room and had to stand in line for 30 minutes again (only one person working front desk and a line of people to check in).
I called front desk to get a new light bulb at the reading lamp and did not receive an answer. I walked down to get a light bulb and had to stand in a 20 minute line (at 10 pm).
The washer and dryer were broke so we were not able to wash and dry uniforms (they did offer to wash the first night but the uniforms «GOT STUCK» in washer so we had to stay up until midnight to get them).
Pool was cold (I am guessing completely unheated) and dirty.
Elevator made scary clanging noises and jerked so much that people used stairs instead
One team mate found bugs in their rooms (one very large odd one).
One team mate had greasy hand prints on bed board.
Several of us did not receive any maid service even though it was requested.
Several of us (including me) had such dirty stained pillowcases we slept without pillows.
Our bath tub was very dirty. The carpets were very dirty.
Our fridge barely worked.
One teammate climbed into bed to find WET and dirty sheets.
The wi-​fi did not work. We were repeatedly kicked off and unable to maintain a continuous connection.
When it was time to check out I called front desk 3 times without an answer. I went downstairs and no one was around so I left a note and the keys to check out (at 0730).
The hotel was woefully understaffed for such a full house and an anticipated tournament. Customer service was seriously lacking at all levels.
We heard people from other teams say they were leaving the hotel and finding another location. Not sure if this happened but the hotel was definitely not as busy on Sat night (we could actually find parking spaces).
Several of us has phantom charges, showed up on our credit card this morning, from the hotel. One person called and was on hold for 39 minutes to be told they have to send in a formal complaint to an email address, of which no one has heard back from.
I am not sure I have all of the issues but these are the high lights or should I say low lights.
This was by far, the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. I honestly feel that we all deserve a refund from the hotel and several people are writing corporate headquarters. Our experiences were horrible. We would never stay here again.
Update: NO ANSWER FROM HEADQUARTERS EMAIL OR LETTER. Supposedly the general manager contacted our team rep and offered a 44 dollar refund but no one has seen a credit on their charge account. WHAT THE HECK? HOW DID THEY COME TO THAT NUMBER? Good grief. What a joke of a company.

Terrible place to stay. The only reason it gets a star is because it has a bed and bathroom. Dirty hotel, carpets needed vacuuming, layers of cobwebs in the corner. Hot water was actually light brown coffee flavored water. Shower is hot then cold then holt never one temp continuously. Ice bucket still had dirty water in it. Fire doors left propped open so not a safe place to be. Terribly understaffed and staff that was there, frazzled and distracted. Front desk not manned all the time, so couldn’t even complain because nobody was there to talk to. Strong pot smoking smell. Get there early for breakfast otherwise it will be cold, if there is anything left. Don’t even bother staying here, not worth it at all.

UNDERSTAFFED, so dirty, unprepared, rooms not ready for check in. 45 min in line just to check in and get a room key @4 pm.
I sat in the lobby waiting to go to breakfast and it was nothing but complaint after complaint. I felt so bad for the ONLY girl behind the desk that I couldn’t bring myself to complain too. 2 nights and 3 days I only saw 3 employees, 1 who was only in the kitchen area.
We had to get our own «do not disturb» signs, towels and even light bulbs!!!

Laundry and house keeping=fail. Dirty pillow cases and earplugs from a previous guest. Dirty towels piled in the hallway two days in a row.
Much more detail to be sent to the corporate offices today. For as much as they charge this hotel is a HUGE letdown.

Not sure where the quality in Quilty Inn is, must be a matter of perspective, just not from my perspective.

I was excited to stay here due to their low rates and the hotel clerk telling me this hotel is a «hidden gem». What was hidden was the fact that they have very poor service. The hotel clerks are very nice and somewhat helpful. But being here for four days the cleaning lady only handed me clean towels at the door of my room and handed me a roll of toilet paper. She never came in one time to clean. The free breakfast is only available if you get there exactly when it opens. An hour later and there is hardly any food. People standing around waiting for their free breakfast. Only one person running the entire kitchen. It was horrible. I guess it’s true you get what you pay for!

I was treated bad was not treated like elite diamond member, nor did they even know i was until i told them. My business was not appreciated, i sat in the lobby by myself. Felt like an empty cold
waited til after 2pm for them to cleans rooms of an empty parking lot and they were not sold out the night before according to reservatioons. they were nit accomendating i paid ten extra dollars to stay at a better hotel .the quality felt more like a motel. Needs updating, dirty feel i had a spider on my collar while i was sitting. i may have dodged bed bugs. Ty quality inn. go to comfort next door better bang for the
sure she got a kick off me waiting looking like a fool while there was probably 5o+ room available. joke on her i canceled reservation and boy im sure cozy tonight

Let me say first the pictures on the site are nothing like the rooms. The hotels is situated near large transformers and power lines. The walls are thin, extremely noisy guests, popcorn ceilings .yes really. NO microwave or fridge in the rooms as advertised, and extremely small flat screen I believe 19 inches. The rooms are not renovated, they were in the process as we left. The WI-​FI does not work they have access points and when you call the front desk they give you a toll-​free number to call about it. The continental breakfast is the worst ever; hard-​broiled eggs in the shell, frozen bagels, gallon jug of milk you have to pour in a cup ewww; you know how many touch the handle after coming from their rooms. Sausage gravy and hard biscuits, tasteless orange juice. There was really nothing else to eat. The front service desk agents were nice. I am not sure what other Unilocalers like but if you like Comfort Inn, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express or some other better hotels. I recommend paying the extra $ 20-​$ 30 per night to stay somewhere else.

We stayed two nights on Labor Day weekend, got a pretty good deal through Expedia. The hotel is located in Tigard, the places we were visiting were primarily Oregon City and Portland and the hotel was close to both, plus a lot cheaper than staying in Portland.
Anyway, the place was OK, it was Fine. Nothing amazing, kind of old, but overall clean and comfortable which is what we were looking for. It’s what we expected, we’ll be staying again I’m sure.

stayed 3 nights. clean room. bed and pillows super comfy. decent breakfast. cant beat the price.

This places gets a 3 for meeting the requirements of a 2 star hotel.
Again, this is a 2-​star hotel, so do not come with extra expectations.
Here is what they provided:
–overall clean and spacious room
–towels
–shampoo/​conditioner/​lotion
–air conditioning/​heating
–breakfast (when i was there, their hot item was biscuits and gravy — other items were standard continental fare such as bread, toast, muffins, whole fruit, coffee, tea, juice and yogurt)
–outdoor small pool (open in summer as of May)
–friendly service
Extras:
–toothbrush, shaving cream if you forgot to bring it (upon request). They might have more extras, but these were the only 2 items we forgot to bring. Quite nice that they offered this!
Lacking:
–entire place needs renovation. their front lobby has been renovated and looks very nice. Front desk let us know they are planning to renovate each room over the next couple months (warning to those of you planning a trip and are sensitive to noise!). i think they plan to finish by July? you should call ahead.
–current rooms are old
–tv are still the thick ones from the 90s
–carpets a bit smelly
–air conditioner and heater may take some time to work; kind of dusty and smelly
–no workout room
Location:
–fine location if you’re visiting portland and don’t care to be in a central spot.
–5 minute drive from costco!
Benchmark: we paid $ 72/​night (before tax/​fees) for a stay in April 2014.
Recommend? maybe, let’s see how their renovations go.

This hotel is very clean, and the beds are comfortable.
The prices are low and consistent; the location is right off the highway in a mellow part of town; the staff is very friendly and helpful; checkout is at noon.
Nearby there are restaurants (including one open ²⁴⁄₇), a sports pub, gas stations, etc.

Very friendly staff. Have stayed here twice. Room okay for the price. Showerhead very low.(About 5 feet off the floor.) Two bars of soap would have been nice: one for sink; second for shower.

This hotel was the worst we have ever stayed in. The front desk was not only poorly managed, our group was put in rooms not yet cleaned, missing toilet seat, things floating in toilet water from not being cleaned, lights not working, dead spiders in bed covers, toilet not flushing, and I could go on and on. On my third time of going back to get yet another room change (and I wasn’t alone with the having to go back) I decided to cancel my weekend and go to a different hotel. A letter will be written to corporate office about this, it WAS that bad. The manager came right as we were leaving and was very apologetic but the man working the desk was very rude and didn’t seem to care. Rating should be zero stars but that isn’t a valid option.

Stayed there last night. Front desk was nice, helpful. Almost full, got second to last room, #322. Standard fare type of room although not microwave or fridge as other reviewers mentioned. Carpet, bedspread were very old, tired. Room smelled very stale. I’m guessing it used to be a smoking room and has not been redone since. Continental breakfast was good, waffles, cereal, coffee, juices and had good scrambled egg patties and sausage links. I will probably give them another chance in the future to see if I just got a bad draw on rooms.

Stayed at this place during the weekend before Thanksgiving. The room my husband and I had was clean, had a nice bathroom, fridge, microwave, table with chairs, sitting area and a nice comfy bed. Although I wished they had a nice flat screen tv it still was a nice room. We were very comfortable.
They also had complimentary breakfast where you can make your own belgian waffles. I would stay here again.
