Fanbase solutions was a wonderful place to work. I am disappointed to see all of the negative reviews. The owner is one of the most honest and integrity filled People I’ve worked with. As for the staff some of the better Facebook advertisers in the industry worked at Fanbase. Being a veteran of the industry for over 5+ years there is good bad and ugly, but fan bases shined like a rare light in what can sometimes be a very tough industry. I would definitely recommend people working with them and their staff and would take some of these reviews with a grain of salt. A lot of the time they disgruntled competitors or just some realtor who doesn’t like to get a cold call and is willing to yell the word scam! at the first sight of a sales pitch. It’s sad. For example: I was the rep who spoke with Rob W. We spoke for no longer then 35 seconds mostly him talking about himself and how important he was. The guy was a total tool. His review was misleading and dishonest. But what can you do.
Just wanted to add a little honest opinion on a company that earned my respect many times over years ago. I think if people could take a peek inside Fanbase, they would very confidently invest their valuable advertising dollars with them. I haven’t had contact with Fanbase for years but with how they treated me, my clients and others with integrity and dedication, I’d recommend them wholeheartedly to other businesses!

How was my experience? Not very good

If I could give zero stars I would! This company is a joke, do not use them! They are a third party scamming advertising company that hard sells, is rude and inconsistent and does not deliver! They go through employees so frequently that I am randomly cold called every six months and they seem to have no record of initially reaching out to me when I say I am not interested and please don’t call again. The two months I did try them they delivered nothing and charged me for 4 months, I worked hard at getting a refund for the two unused months and they were sure the billing cycles were in their favor and I was wrong, burned a bridge there. They call themselves a family run business out of Oregon and try to appeal to your small business sense but when you ask them questions they have no concrete answers. My questions were: What are your sales numbers in my category? What is your retention rate? What are your annual growth numbers? What similar companies do you service? What will you do differently of me on Facebook than I can do for myself? No answers to any of these questions. I was taken in by a hard sell when my business was needing sales and I regret every minute and dollar I wasted! Learn from my mistakes and just say NO!

So I just got off the phone with one of their guys — not the sharpest salesman I’ve dealt with.
I don’t like being insulted, yet he sorta did it twice.
First, he tells me that he went over costs ($ 450/​mo with a 1-​Time $ 150 Ad Creation Fee) with my boss a few days prior, then asked if my boss had discussed it with me. When I replied that he hadn’t because of how busy we all were, he tells me:
«Well, blah blah blah, we’re probably twice as busy as you are.»
Not cool.
Second, he wasn’t clear about who he worked for. It took me diving into one of his short breaths to ask again, and his response was:
«Do you have a browser open? I can take you right to us. It’s fanbasesolutions — all one word…»
at this point I said that I wasn’t interested in their website and that I just wanted to Google them. He replies:
«Well you’re a smart IT guy, let me tell you what to pay attention to and what to ignore when you do that.»
I asked him «If I’m so smart, won’t I be able to figure that out for myself?
I then tell him «I have your name, your number, and your prices — I’ll call you if I decide to do business with you.»
His reply?
«Well I’ll be calling other shop in the meantime.»
Oh no. Please not that.
This dude needs to rethink his sales tactics. And his pricing.
TL/​DR — Oh hell no.

I reluctantly agreed to speak to one of the representatives after being asked by co-​worker. I wouldn’t consider purchasing ad placements from them solely based off of one phone conversation.
Tried to fast talk his way to a sale. Told me that their ad placements would do this and that and would work fantastic for the small business I work for.
He sent an email and what I was assuming was a canned message (which is ok, because I know you can’t spend time writing emails all day long). At the bottom he provided a link to an article about Facebook ads and how it could help companies and how clicks and return on investment is improving by this much percent (percentages can be deceiving if you don’t have raw numbers) —

Word of advice — If you haven’t read the article, don’t send it to prospects. I tried to have a conversation with him about a couple points in the article and he didn’t know what I was talking about nor did he bother to pull up the article to look at it.
First, he claimed to have 35 years in the industry I work in and he was the first one to come up with the Nike Sparq program and said they stole it from him (…what?). He went on to say that he picked our company because we had what he wanted and they only work with the best in the industry. As politely as I could I asked «Well, I know that Company X is the market leader, so why not target them?» He got defensive and shuffled his way around that question.
As we went on, I asked a few more questions. Questions that I felt any successful company or sales person would feel comfortable answering (or would at least say «I would be happy to get that info for you, I just don’t have it in front of me»).
«What is the company’s retention rate?» I think about 30%…
«How many clients actually stay with YOU after the first month?» I don’t know…
I think… About… I don’t know… Red flags in my book.
He then proceeded to insult me by asking how old I was (like I’m not suited to be discussing Facebook marketing) and that he’d be better off spending his time talking to people that knew what Facebook advertisement was all about.
He actually hung up on me. Very poor experience. I would give them no stars if it were possible.

Hard sell sales tactics and scam artists. Read the online reviews of this company before signing up!
Like others reported, this company cold-​called me leading me to believe they were from Facebook and wanted to feature my company. Later I realized they wanted to sell me Facebook advertising at over $ 600 a month. I run successfully Facebook ad campaigns that cost me a small fraction of what they are charging.
Shady business practices.

Don’t fall for the high pressure sales tactics. I advised the FBS sales rep I won’t sign up for online programs on a whim after a cold call. When I said let me do the research and call me back next week, he said he could only wait until the end of the day for my decision. Major red flag! There is no data to support that Fanbase Solutions is a reputable partner.

They opened up the call saying that they were Facebook. No, they are not. They are a 3^rd party ad consultant.
Their offering might be good, but the shady tactics are not. I have been called as much as 8 times a day by these clowns. Yo, that’s harassment. I’m not your customer. I don’t owe you a debt. Leave me alone.

Sales guy was pushy and condescending when I decided not to go with them at this time. Burned a bridge with his attitude.

Don’t waste your money! They promise alot and deliver nothing. The biggest problem I see is they do not understand your business — so how can they create ads for you? Their idea is good — but they did not deliver in the least! It’s was a very costly mistake… Believe me — don’t waste your time or money. Eek!

Our company has been with Fanbase for 8 months give or take. We are a safe company out on the West Coast and wanted a larger presence on the internet and decided social media was the way to go. Now I do not have experience with any other social media advertising agencies, but Fanbase has up’ed our facebook like’s and exposure exponentially. Our business has seen growth during our tenure with Fanbase and the only thing we changed, in regards to advertising, was the Fanbase campaign. Shaun Dee has been a great representative, he is informative, punctual, and very easy to talk with. It is defiantly worth a try if you are looking to throw your hat into the world of social media advertising. For a monthly fee we have a company that does all the work i need for this arena, which allows me to focus on other aspects to keep my business moving forward.

Once in a great while you do receive an e-​mail soliciting a service for your business that actually works well. I am impressed with the level of service I have received from Fanbase Solutions. I was extremely skeptical as I have been down this road before and wasted money on great ideas for my business that never had even one positive result. So when Kyle the account executive called my guard was up.
In the end Kyle was really helpful and flexible in customizing my account to my industry specific needs. He asked a lot of questions about my business reviewed my existing Fan Page with me and got me started with some suggestions. Once the IT specialist called we had everything up and running. We talked again when I wanted to make some tweaks to advertising and they did it. Every time I left a message or e-​mailed a question I got a call back in reasonable time. I am very satisfied with the results so far my Fan Base has almost doubled in just a few weeks and that is impressive. They did what they said they will do and for a little monthly investment it is well worth it. Now if your sitting there telling yourself I can do that on my own. Yeah you might and I said the same thing and it kept getting pushed down the priority list everyday because I still have to run my business. So do what you are good at with your business and allow the experts at Fan Base Solutions perfect your Face Book Fan page. You could not hire an assistant with expertise on Social Media to do what they can do for just a few hundred dollars a month. Just try it you can not lose. Give Kyle a call and have a nice talk about what you would like to do!

I’m not sure if some of the sales people there realize this but when you call other sales people and solicit their business and tell us «this is not a sales call» when we clearly know and identify (and verbally tell you) that it is, it makes you seem unprofessional and dare I say, shady? The previous review is exactly correct, «Hard sell». I told the rep that I’d spoke with someone from the company before (to be fair, they conducted theirselves in a professional manner, that’s why I didn’t give a 1 star) and he tried to tell me his speel was going to be different and kept doing it and acted very condescending towards me. I’m an expert in my area of lending and an experienced sales person with a strong web presence (that’s why so many companies solicit me each week), someone pushing telling me they’re saying something different (especially when they don’t have a transcription of the other sales rep’s conversation) and treating me in the manner I was just treated will only result an a scathing review like the one I’m writing.
I suggest the company’s management address the manner in which the sales calls are done if you want to garner any of Facebook’s business, I guarantee you a bunch of reviews that look and sound like this isn’t good for business.
Does the service have a potential to be beneficial and profitable, possibly, will it? Maybe, maybe not. There are many other companies out there that could take market share or the opportunity away who can conduct theirselves in a professional manner.
P. S. I’ve never been treated so poorly as to waste my time (as a 100% commission person, my time is valuable) to write a negative review, that tells you how mad I am…

Wow. Can you say «hard sell»? Relentless. I am interested in what they have to offer, however the pushy style was off-​putting.
