Divine Catering

Absolutely wonderful food and service for our meet and greet.

I used Divine Catering to cater a picnic/​wedding celebration. We had gotten married on a different date but wanted to have a more casual celebration with our friends. Even though we weren’t doing a big wedding package, they made us feel so special and important at the tasting. They were willing to work with us on our limited budget and never once made us feel pressured or bad about that. They even went the extra mile by being willing to change the time when we had to make a very last minute change to our picnic time to avoid some sweltering heat. The best part was the food. It was such an incredible spread when all was said and done. When they came and set it up for us it looked beautiful and the food amounts were so generous. The food is delicious! Truly. I have had so much bad, expensive catered food. It was so so good. The meat was tender and flavorful, all the salads were delicious and creative but didn’t feel pretentious. Our guests were raving about it. I can’t recommend Divine Catering enough. The entire experience was 5 stars… from start to finish. We plan on using them again and again.

Just awful… I was SOOO embarrassed! I bought a living social «catered luncheon» which they delivered to my house. I invited a group of close girlfriends over (we are all good cooks) for what I thought would be a fine treat~~! It was just… b.a.d.
The details:
Server arrived and dropped off the following:
Grilled flat iron steak and chicken skewers with dipping sauce. The meat was cold by the time it arrived and though she lit a hotel pan with a burner underneath, it only became slightly warm before serving 20 minutes later. The skewers were skimpy and looked anemic. Taste was just OK… much worse than your average food cart.
Roasted Vegetables. Again. Cold. Barely heated to room temp. As they had been properly roasted before (tasted like TWO days before… am I getting leftovers from a wedding?) It was «weird» to eat roasted veggies that LOOKED roasted but tasted slighty cold and mushy.
Mixed Salad with carmalized walnuts and feta. This came in a medium size bowl with 95% lettuce and the toppings just resting on top. The salad was filled to the BRIM of a fluted narrow bowl. There was no way you could toss this salad to properly coat the dressing. If I had just served the salad «as is» the only person getting condiments would have been the first three people… AND you would just have to «glop» the dressing on top of the salad on your individual plate… who serve’s salad like that anymore? I ended up scrambling at the last minute before the ladies came… putting the salad and condiments in a bigger bowl, rummaging through my cabinets and refrig for more salad ingredients, and then tossing it to coat before serving. Might was well have done the whole thing myself.
Pesto Pasta Salad. Hard to mess this up. Needed seasoning. Added salt and tossed again before serving.
Advertised: «Assorted Individual Desserts». What I got: A plastic plate with COOKIE BARS on it. The plate was smudged from transit, no garnish, and the cookie bars looked like a grade-​school bake sale. PLUS… they were NOT good. I replated the cookies (12 SMALL squares) on a more attractive plate and would have done more but now the door bell was ringing…
Needless to say… I did not impress my guests.
EPIC. FAIL. If you can’t do these «specials» (living social/​gorupon/​whatever) right… PLEASE PLEASE… do not do them at all.

I had an event coming up quickly. Miranda was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through their process efficiently. the food was on time and delicious even though I only gave them three days notice!
Even though the event was small (10 attendees), they presented the food in a way that was professional and appetizing.

Just had Divine catering cater my businesses annual lunch meeting. The food and service were incredible, divine showed up on time and was set up in just a few minutes. The main subject at the meeting ended up being how great all the food was. We now decided a couple meetings a year and will continue to use Divine for all of them. Thanks again.

Had a great experience with these guys at a friends wedding. The food was outstanding (and not just for wedding food, like it was actually really, really delicious!) But even that pales in comparison to how friendly, funny and helpful their staff was. I was totally impressed!
