Absolute worse property management I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
It’s about 7:50 am right now. The yard crew or whatever they are have been going for about 25 minutes now with a loud buzzing noise that woke me up before my alarm. Pretty sure that is outside of quiet time hours– but that doesn’t matter if it’s on their call. This isn’t the first time it’s happened– it’s just happened enough times that I’ve finally become fed up. Every Wednesday the yard crew will wake you up with weed wackers, lawn mowers, and leaf blowers– I hope you don’t like your sleep! They don’t deal with any complaints you bring them directly. Hence what has lead me to my review. I’ve been here for about 11 months now. And I’ve experienced nothing but problems. Tandem property management is not a company you want managing where you live. It takes A lot to get me going, so understand why it took me 11 months to write this review. I’ve experienced more random entry’s into my apartment than any other complex I’ve lived in. The notice said to «fix items from inspection» but the leasing agent couldn’t give me specifics on what exactly was broken and what needed to be fixed– she just told me I’m required to kennel my dog for the 4 day time window they listed on the inspection sheet. I find that completely disrespectful and annoying. I don’t like being dictated on how to live– especially not by a property management. I’m not sure what they fixed– but they didn’t fix my entry light. They harassed me about my car part I had for 9 months and threatened to tow my car from my parking space when my «parking pass» was not visible in my car. Not sure why they would tow a car out of a spot unless someone complained it was parked in theirs. There is mold in the windows. Always– and it’s basically your problem after you sign the lease. I’m not complaining about maintenance because Jordan rocks. Professional, quick, efficient. Exactly what I like. The property management though, needs to be rethought. There is only 1 that seems to have a head on her shoulders. I’ll be writing a follow up review with names of the leasing agents that were disrespectful and the experiences I’ve had. I don’t feel the need to bring up the past few incidents and how they have handled situations right now– as I’m giving them a chance to improve based on this review. I’ll be here for a couple more months on my lease so let’s see if any changes progress since my verbal complaints haven’t been sufficient enough. Will post follow up in a couple months and rate entire living experience and what has been fixed (if anything).

Worst complex I’ve ever had the dissatisfaction of being involved with! Even after the move, they haunt me with their inability to call when promised and threats of sending our accounts to a creditor because they keep changing the price on what we owe.
They told me that I was going to be able to move out 15 days early with no fee. I had actually called to verify, and they told me this wasn’t going to be possible. THEY called me and said it would be ok and they would waive any fees.
After the move, they did their own inspection that we were not there for, and we got hit pretty hard for charges. We had kept the apartment in fairly spotless condition. We were never presented with their «evidence» as to why they thought we should pay an extra month’s rent.
We are engaging the Better Business Bureau, and it would be in your best interest not to move here. It will be difficult, as apartments are scarce in the area right now and they know it. They’re only interested in how much cash they can wring out of you.

I just moved here from over seas. The rental market here has become pretty tough. When I met with Anthony to see an apartment, it was only his 2^nd day on the job. He was very friendly, helpful and attentive. He was awesome! I decided to rent an apartment but hoped for a different one in another location within the complex. When I went back to sign my welcome letter I was told that one of the apartments I wanted was available however they might not be able to have it ready in time for my move in. I was told to ask for Jamie on Monday morning. Jamie is the manager and when I spoke to him and explained my desire to rent the alternate apartment, he was very happy to work it out and called me back within an hour to tell me I could have the apartment and on the date I needed it. If the service continues to be this wonderful, I may never move out! Thanks Anthony and Jamie! You guys are the bomb!!!

Just got my our keys. Anthony took great care of us. Grounds look good. Great amenities. Seems like they are on top of things.

I moved here since last October of 2014 .I like the place its cozy. I like the fact that each rooms has bathrooms. The people who work at the office are very nice. I never had any problem with them. The grounds are well maintained. I have good neighbors and the pool is clean.

Do not recommend this place.
–Building is old. Walls and floors are thin. You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do, especially if you are on a ground floor. If you decide to live there, choose second floor.
–Unprofessional staff. They cannot decide among themselves what are rules and procedures.
–Say goodbye to your security deposit. They will pull all kind of tricks to overcharge you for various issue during moving out.
–Theft. Delivery was reckless enough to leave packages in front of the door. Two times packages were stolen.

The Pros:
Ok, so I moved into the apartments blindly. I come from a state far away and didn’t have to time to come here and check out apartments prior to moving to the Portland area. After searching around, I settled in on this area because apartments are cheaper here than closer to downtown or the Lake Oswego area. The leasing agents at the time were Stephanie and Nick. Both were very pleasant and patient with me and emailed me whenever I had questions or concerns. They were professional and helpful and sent me lots of pictures of the apartment before I moved in. I was concerned that the pictures online and the ones they sent me were going to be the «model» and that I was going to end up with a crappy version of that. However, they ensured me that my apartment would look just like the model because all the apartments were getting renovated.
I moved in August 2014 and I honestly cannot complain much. My apartment looks just like the ones on their website. All my appliances are new, and the apartment looks brand new as well. I live in the small 1×1 so I don’t have a fireplace, but I believe the larger apartments do. My balcony is pretty damn big for a small apartment. I can put chairs out there, a grill, and hang plants if I wish to do so. The balcony has a small storage closet as well. I thought that the small 1×1 apartment would feel too tiny and cramp, but it’s really cozy and I honestly have more than enough space for my belongings. I really like that the apartments comes with a full size washer and dryer! Luckily, I don’t have loud neighbors, so I don’t ever really hear them.
The overall apartment complex is really chill. The children play outside during the afternoon and people walk their dog around. I feel pretty safe here. Also, there is a trail, volleyball court, and playground within the complex. There is also a river that flows beside the complex that I see people kayak in during the summer months. Also, the grounds are really kept nice. I have yet to use the sauna, pool, or fitness club, but I’ve heard good things about them as well.
The complex is located off of Highway 99/​Pacific Hwy and can be full of traffic and super slow during the rush hour times. Also, there is a fire station across the street. I don’t mind either of these, and plus I live closer to the back of the complex so I don’t hear the fire trucks as bad as someone who lives closer to the front. Also, the complex is near grocery stores and shopping areas which is nice.
The apartment staff and maintenance workers are all super helpful and nice. I have yet to encounter a rude employee. I even have stopped and talked to the grounds keeper and renovation guys. They were all super friendly. I haven’t had an issue with the mail getting delivered. They have a pretty efficient system when it comes to large packages.
The cons:
I can honestly only think of two cons. I love the apartments, but the cons are big enough to make me take one star off of the review and they have to do with parking and garbage. Because I work during the day, and go to school at night, I usually don’t get home till 8−10pm on certain days. Parking is pretty difficult to find. They have garages available which are nice (very expensive), but I don’t believe that many people buy these (I could be wrong). I wish they would get rid of some of the garages and make room for more regular parking spaces. I usually have to park all the way at the front of the complex and walk to the back of the complex in the middle of the night because there are no parking spaces anywhere. This makes me feel very unsafe because it is so dark and I am a female. This can also be a big hassle if you have people visit as well. The front office lady told me I could buy covered parking (which I did), but even the closest covered parking space is still a nice walk away. I am currently on the waiting list for a closer spot, so hopefully this will no longer be a «con». Also, the only garbage can on the complex is located at the very back of the complex. If you live closer to the front of the complex, you will have to walk your trash a pretty good distance. This really sucks if it rains, or really cold outside. I’ve seen people put the trash in their car, and drive it to the back of the complex, which can be pretty yucky.
But overall, this place is awesome! I will re-​review this once my lease is up, but so far, so good.

IS THAT A FUCKEN WEED WACKER I HEAR AT 8 AM OFCOURSE IT IS !!! IS THAT WORKERS I HEAR HAVING LOUD CONVERSATIONS NEXT TO MY APARTMENT AT 8AM WHY OFCOURSE IT IS!!! Seriously don’t move to this shit ass apartment the worst mistake of my life!!! I have talked to soo many people that live here people have nothing good to say about management, or the apartments in general don’t let the remodeling fool you it’s still not worth it !!!

I moved here in August 2013 because it had month to month rent and we were trying to buy a house. I found out a week into moving in why, the apartments are being remodeled, the apartment I was in had not been remodeled since 1980?, it had blue countertops and old appliances and a toilet that always clogged. During my three months there they redid the parking lot so there was no parking and still charged me for carport. They painted around my apartment, ugly colors: yellow, dark green, light green and brick. They came in to my apartment for random reasons every month. The park is buried behind the complex behind bushes, walking to the park was like a scary scene out of law and order SVU, unsafe. The 1 star is for the hot tub, I liked that. I cleaned the apartment before I moved out and accidentally left my microwave. I came back the next day and got my microwave back and they said they would send my deposit to my new address. One month later I get a notice actually asking me to pay $ 35 additional on top of keeping my $ 250 deposit. I returned to the office and they said they inspected my apartment on November 30^th and it wasn’t clean. The funny thing is I moved out on December 1^st. I looked at the paperwork and they said they called me on November 30^th to do a walk through. They never called me. If you still want to move here, ask the apartment manger for photos from apartment #106, move out December 1^st and then judge for yourself. Don’t let the cookies fool you, the cookies are terrible just like the apartment staff who work at this apartment.
