Couldn’t be more pleased. Called in the morning and he was there before noon. Bill is a real cheery guy. Will definitely keep his card. You will to.

Howard Hauling was GREAT!!! Bill Howard was readily available, professional, competitive and downright honest. I will definitely be doing business with him again.

This was like the easiest business transaction I’ve had in ages.
I just bought a new couch for my place. But now I had to find a way to get rid of the old couch. What to do? What to do?
First, I checked Salvation Army. Unfortunately, the earliest I could schedule a pick-​up with them was 2 weeks out. That wasn’t going to to. So I decided to do a local Unilocal search for furniture pick-​up, and I discovered Howard Hauling (with 19 five-​star reviews). I gave the owner (Bill) a call, and within 24 hours he was at my doorstep. And if that wasn’t good enough, he also brought along a friend who was interested in claiming the couch. The whole service cost me just $ 35. FYI — the price is contingent upon the size of your furniture and whether or not you need to have it dumped. If I had needed Bill to dispose of my 6 foot couch, it would’ve cost me $ 70 (a fee I would have gladly have paid, just for the convenience alone).
Long story short, this was the easiest $ 35 I’ve ever paid. Bill was super friendly and flexible with pick-​up times. I’d highly recommend his service the next time you’re in need of furniture disposal or pick-​up!

Bill is an old-​school Marin institution. When I called him up to ask if he’d be available to help me get rid of a bunch of stuff in preparation for my move to the East Coast, he asked where I was and when I told him my obscure street, he replied, «Oh, I know where that is! I did a job there back in 1975!» He and his assistants arrived on time, were very polite, and hustled hard the whole time.
Bill will also take items in good condition which he donates to local families in need and doesn’t charge you for their portion of your haul. I’m kind of shy with people I don’t know, but talking to Bill is really easy – he comes across as a really genuine guy. If I was moving across town, I would hire him again in a heartbeat. I thought his rates very reasonable and they worked really quickly!

I found Bill on Unilocal a few years ago and he has helped me out on several moves now. He promptly returns your phone calls, and provides amazingly quick service. He’s also a really cool guy. This move he even found someone to drive my uhaul for me!

Called Howard Hauling on a Friday, they came on Saturday and took less than a half hour to pack up all my junk and let me leave for my next appointment on time. They even took items I had forgotten to mention on my initial call. Will for sure use them again!

Howard took some things to the dump for me a while ago. I can’t believe I forgot to write an amazing review for him! All the other reviewers are correct. Howard is punctual, extremely friendly, and his prices are low (compared to other haulers). I completely trusted him with his estimate. I’ve had insanely bad experiences with other haulers and Howard was a breath of fresh air. Although I should take stuff to the dump myself, when I’m pressed for time and just don’t want to, I will definitely call Howard again. Thanks Howard!

Can’t ask for better service. He came within an hour of my call and carted away stuff left behind by a previous tenant, including a large and heavy dining room table. (The guy is a master at using leverage.) Once he had it loaded he told me his estimate was based on a bigger load and returned money to me. That, despite the fact that I was very happy with the initial price. I can’t recommend him enough.

Bill and his team made quick work of the pile of junk I had amassed in my carport. I was going to use GotJunk but luckily Bill was in my neighborhood today and gave me a very reasonable quote. We would absolutely use him again and highly recommend you call him first!

Bill was great — came over to give an estimate and was able to do the job there on the spot for a great price. Really trust worthy and friendly. I will definitely contact him first for any future hauling jobs.

My boyfriend and I needed someone to clean up his mom’s yard. We found Bill on Craigslist, called him and within one hour he was at my boyfriends mom’s door to pick up a truckload of yard clippings. Not only was he helpful and professional, but his price was fair and accurate to what he quoted on the phone before he arrived. We thought for sure we had 4 truck loads of waste and he stomped it all down in the back of his truck so that it could fit more and so that it would cost less (dumps charge by the cubic yard, not weight). My boyfriend’s moms house is in Marin, but he told us that he also picks up in San Francisco — I’ll be sure to use him should the need arise. Thanks Bill! P. Fast friendly service from a long time local.
We needed a 6′ x 4′ entertainment center backdrop and some carpets and closet racks hauled away.
His price was fair and he showed up when he said he would.

I just used his services for a second time today. We used 1−800-Got-Junk before because I had no idea who to call and had seen their trucks. 1−800-Got Junk was soooooooooo expensive (the service was good, but just cost a fortune). So I knew I had to find a new way of getting rid of my crap.
I found Bill on Unilocal and was not disappointed. This guy is someone you can let into your house, and trust to give a fair price. I was very happy with the service and price.
He came to my house on a moments notice when I was in the middle of a cleaning frenzy.
I strongly recommend!

I responded to Bill’s ad on Craigslist because it stood out in the ocean
of hauling services listed by people that seemed to promise too much.
He replied almost immediately and I sent him a couple of pictures of
the junk we wanted to get rid of. He gave me a rough estimate and told me
specifically which items would have been charged extra at the dumps.
Bill showed up the next day and was absolutely great to have around! We
actually ended up having him haul some other stuff that we hadn’t planned on
getting rid of just because he and his team were such great people.
Fast, super clean, friendly, honest, never pushy and with great sense of humor.
We will not hesitate to call him again if we need any more hauling and
highly recommend him to anyone in the Marin area!

After shopping around with several haulers, I found Bill Howard’s ad on Craigslist and called him for a quote. He was very polite on the phone and came in under the other bids I had received.
Bill arrived on time. He and his assistant were courteous and polite while removing our old sofa. They took care not to scuff our walls.
All in, a solid job!

Mr. Howard has responded to our request for a written bid. Since there is a group of people researching hauling/​refuse bids, this was the most important first step: a written bid for a standard «2 trash bags of refuse «as a potential weekly standard pick up. As this was the first time anyone has asked him for a written bid, in 37 years of service, we could only give him 2 stars. We could not rate his actual hauling. We hope to rate this at another time ! We make the leap that if you’re in for the business, you’re in for the bidding process~ or at least one could give a potential customer some standard written bids. Hauling refrigerators, cleaning out apartments, removing dead trees? This might be work that would create a bid sheet, with «wiggle room». He gets 4 stars for tenacity, and redeeming personableness… :-)

Used my buddy Bill for another hauling adventure… again, he was awesome. On time. Got all the stuff out… for a very reasonable price. Use him! He rocks out loud!
