Daybreak Excursions, offers customized guided outdoor adventure experiences such as rock climbing, rappelling, caving and kayaking. And yes we do rent kayaks! Based in Frederick Maryland. Many of our daily excursions are to the Catcoctin Mountains, Monocacy River and other western Maryland mountains, crags, rivers and caves.

Daybreak Excursions strives to stay small. This allows Daybreak Excursions to provide clients with our complete focus while making a much smaller footprint wherever we go. An optimum group would be a party of 8 for any daily excursion.

When guiding, Daybreak Excursions goal is to provide an activity that will be challenging as well as positively motivating. We have found that with smaller groups there is a provision for less distraction, increased ability to absorb the instruction, and time to apply that instruction to the task at hand. This attentiveness to detail and delivery will make your experience with Daybreak Excursions all the more rewarding. The theme here at Daybreak is «Quality not Quantity».

Daybreak Excursions is a business that has been designed to provide small guided outdoor adventure experiences for the novice and intermediate client.

The level of experience guiding groups or individuals on rock climbing, caving and kayaking excursions has come from over 25 years of owning and operating an adventure business.

We instruct to empower, enjoy and understand what we learn.

Business Owner

Mark is a seasoned guide of 25 years as well as the owner and operator of Daybreak Excursions.

Mark has owned and managed other successful adventure business.

Here are some of Marks qualifications:

Designed and, built Ropes Challenge Courses, Climbing Walls and Zip lines.

Inspected and trained staff to operate the Ropes Courses within ACCT specifications.

Climbing guide for all types of rock and ice climbing as well as instruction for top rope, sport and traditional climbing.

Caving guide and trained in cave rescue and evacuation procedures.

Kayaking guide for flat water and moving water including roll sessions.

Written safety manuals and taught safety procedures to staff and clients for outdoor adventure activities.

Provided team building and organizational development to an extensive client base.
