As I can see this owner ‘defend’ her business as always correct however can’t deny half of the review in here are negative and not praise for the business, then business owner need to think about ‘why’ vs. ‘how to defend myself was so right but the customer simply has their own problem’. if that’s the way to run a business, then this is not the right business for you. your business should be about customer service. I saw an almost identical scenario about someone purchase a groupon and try to book appt for her daughter and herself. Then ended up finding difficulty even just to communicate thru the time. I too, experience the same ‘difficulty’ and I would like everyone who purchase groupon to beware of this situation, or maybe the owner who read this will correct their attitude and actually accept the responsibility for not delivery good service simply people came thru groupon. When I called last Saturday, 3÷13÷16 appx 12pm, I asked to book an appt for myself and my daughter we have groupon, the person who answered the phone first asked, what time you wish to come? I said, 3pm. She said, I am not available, but I can do 1:15pm, but you must show up. I was surprised by the attitude, assuming I booking appt that I don’t wish to show up for. Then I told her, I can come at 1:15pm and it will be for me and my daughter, her response was «OMG». I asked, what is your normal business hours, she said it’s based on appt only. I said, I will call another time, her response left me speechless I never heard of people who doesn’t welcome business in such a negative comment. I went back to get refund for groupon, but I also want to warn people out there who deal with this type of mercurial attitude. I will never bother to call again for any reason this person didn’t seem to want to do business anyways. Again, the business owner can defend all she wants, but honestly, it’s time to review why not all of the ratings been 4 stars if things are so great…

I am very, very happy with the eyebrow threading. I’ve only ever had my brows waxed before so I was a bit apprehensive about threading but Mojgan made this a great experience. She’s very sweet and does a fantastic job. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. She gave tips on maintenance and recommended a brow gel. I came here on a Groupon but have another appointment scheduled in a few weeks. I would definitely recommend.
The entrance is through the Salon Suites (park in the back lot of 1655 E Thousand Oaks for easiest access) and her space is down the hall on the right.

I had been going to Mojgan for a couple of years. She has always been very caring, and did a great job. The first time I saw her she recommended a full facial threading which was probably a little uncomfortable for her. However I took her up on her suggestion and couldn’t be happier about the decision! Recently I changed jobs and went to someone closer to my home who offered a discount but I was so happy to return to Mojgan after a couple of months. I hope I never go anywhere else. She does such a great job and really seems to care. I am a customer for life!

I heard that eyelashes are more important than make up when getting married– so I wanted a try. And I came here to Modgan to get that experience and do a trial run. Well, I am afraid I am hooked– she did a fantastic job, was careful, professional and took amazing before and after shots. My guy said the next day– I don’t know what you are doing with your eyes but I love it. And her prices are very affordable compared to other lashers.

Wow I can’t believe it’s been about two years already since I’ve been going to Mojgan! She is absolutely wonderful! She really takes her time, and she is very good. She is by appt only, but she is always very accommodating. I text her last minute sometimes and I’m able to go in the same day or the next. Sometimes I only need my upper lip, so she is able to squeeze me into her schedule if it’s last minute.
We have really developed a wonderful relationship. She is so sweet and very kind. We always talk and laugh together. Go see Mojgan! You will love her :)

I never write reviews, I just had to write one today. I have been going to thread my face at Mojgan Tutiya Threading in Thousand Oaks for 2 years now. I was recommended her and has not since had a reason not to come back.
Mojgan is not only extremely nice and friendly, she also (which is most importantly, does a great job, beyond expectations) I have had my face threaded there as I said for 2 years and I have also tried the eye lash extensions which I absolutely love!!! They look amazing. I had them done 2 times, 1 time last year in August when I went to Croatia, and 1 time in April when I went to Florida. Love love love them.
I also took a massage from her a month or two ago. Everything she does, is done with respect, kindness and professionalism. I can highly recommend her. Excellent professional service.

Amazing. She is seriously amazing at what she does! She’s friendly and really know how to shape your eyebrows to your face. Also gives great advice on your eyebrows and maintain them in between visits and she isn’t expensive at all, worth every penny.

Great experience! I am a first time threading customer and was a little nervous cus I didn’t fully understand the process. But now that I have done it, I will never go back to waxing. The lady is really nice and does a great job. I got my eyebrows and upper lip done. I think I was only there for 30 minutes. She was very gentle and really knows how to relax the client. I will definitely be going back!

I found out about this place through groupon and Mojgan is now my go to for threading. She is always extremely accommodating to my schedule and tries to fit me in whenever she can. Her technique is clean and very gentle, and the salon itself is spotless. My mom got a massage from her and absolutely loved it. Highly recommend.

This is my first time writing a review but let me just start off by saying that Mojgan is the rudest merchant I have ever been to. I went to her after purchasing a Groupon for eyebrow threading, the first time I went I got lost and I called her to give me accurate directions and she basically started yelling at me telling me that she had given them to me already. (She is located on the back side of the building, you can’t see it from the street, I was in the front of the building). My first impression of her was that she was rude and extremely unprofessional.
Anyhow, I proceeded with my appointment because I already paid for the voucher. Needless to say her prices are resonable and she does a good job. She did try to push other products on me which I didn’t like but I always wanted to try eyelash extensions and since I had an event coming up and her prices were reasonable compared to other merchants so I tried it.
The first time I went I loved them, they looked natural which was very important to me and they do last a good 2 maybe 3 weeks (luckily my natural lashes are already pretty full so it didn’t look that obvious when they started to fall off). Anyways I went back for a touch up. When I went back a third time she suggested that I get a new set, so I did. However this time she did not do a good job, they didn’t look full and natural and the first day they started to fall off! Especially around the corners. I was very upset but what pissed me off even more was when I send her a message explaining to her that it needed to be fixed she told me that she would have to charge me! She insisted that she knows she did a good job and that it was my fault they started to fall off! She said I must have messed with them some how.
In addition to the fact that she is super rude she is also extremely argumentative and stubborn as hell (as your can see by her response in the other reviews). Anyways I basically told her that I would not be returning because her work ethic is horrible and I would rather spend my money with someone that appreciated my business. She still continued to argue with me which was unbelievable but anyways, don’t waste your time. Go somewhere who appreciates your business and takes accountability for their action.

You are right the last time I went was in April but that’s irrelevant and the fact that you still have my number saved and had the audacity to text me last night regarding this is ridiculous! I have the right to express my opinions and my experience with your services. I’m not going to go back and forth with this but I am glad that you responded because it proves to everyone that reads this what I already know!

I bought a Groupon deal for eyebrow threading at Tutiya. I called to make an appointment for the next day. I talked with the owner, Mojgan and she told me to come at certain time during the day. I said i can’t make it at that time and that’s when she said to come in next 30minutes. I told her i can’t make it in 30minutes and i was on the way somewhere else already. That’s when she said «have a good day» and hang up the phone. She was rude and obnoxious and didnt listen to what i was trying to say at all. I called her back and she started to lecture me on how i need to make appointments ahead of time and i told her thats the reason im calling her and she hang up on me. I have been to several threading places and this is the first encounter with an obnoxious and rude owner that could care less about customers or getting any sort of business. I will not recommend anybody having any services done at this place. Who knows what mood she is in… I wouldnt risk losing my eyebrows for sure!

Great service. Mojgan knows how to shape anyones eyebrows. She keeps her place clean and professional. I highly recommend her.

This merchant is unprofessional. I would not recommend this business.
I purchased a Groupon to try out this merchant. I’ve tried threading twice before but am still not convinced that it’s right for me. When I called to make my appointment, to my surprise, I found out that I previously purchased this same Groupon several months back and was one of the places I tried previously. The vendor had my phone number and remembered me. She made it clear that the Groupon deals are for first time customers only. I agreed so I said I would just call Groupon to get a refund. But after a lengthy discussion the vendor said since I purchased it already, I should come in and she would honor it. So, I made an appointment. However, she asked me to call her a few days before to confirm my appointment, which I thought was weird, but then later retracted it, I wouldn’t need to call again. Huh?
It turns out, the day before my appointment, she called me to move my scheduled time out two hours. I said it would be tight but I’ll manage. So, that day, I reshuffled by schedule but unfortunately arrived 5 minutes late. It then took me an additional 2 minutes to announce my arrival by a button system. The salon doesn’t have a receptionists. The merchant comes out and all she says is that I was late so she took another customer; and was smug about it I might add. What!!! I was upset but whatever. Let’s just get this over with. I figured that she stacks her clients back to back in blocks with little wiggle room to accommodate her schedule, never mind the customer.
When I finally got in the suite I asked if she needed my voucher. She stared at me with bulging eyes and proceeded to asked if I had been there before and if I’ve used a Groupon before. I reminded her that we had this lengthy conversation already on the phone. She blatantly denied remembering the conversation. I was shocked! So, I said, whatever, I’ll pay the $ 4 difference, can we just get my brows done. To my surprise she kept wanting to berate me. So of course we went back and forth. Finally, I realized that the best thing to do was agree to disagree. I tried to pacify the situation be reiterating that I would pay the difference. I thought that did it and laid down on the chair. At this point I was thinking… hmm maybe I shouldn’t let someone this disturbed do my brows. And just before she bent over to start, would you believe it, she went at me again, trying to get the last word in. I was stunned! I got up and left. She proceeded to follow me and continued her rant at me and even followed me to my car; which was very creepy. Thankfully she didn’t get in my way and I drove off.
Needless to say, I will not return. What a horrible experience it was for me. Small businesses that are low cost and non technical in nature really only have customer service as the main draw for repeat business. It’s too bad that this merchant doesn’t realize that.

Awesome! My first time here and i can say that i have finally found a threading place! I highly recommend!
Other threading places that I have been to, they are very callous. To them, it’s just a job. So they thread me, I feel like a block of cheese being grated.
But not at this place. She’s very careful and she seems to love what she does.
This will be the only place I’ll go for threading.

I bought a deal on Living Social while back to get my eyebrows done and finally went yesterday to get them done. It took a little bit longer than when I would normally get my brows done but she did do my chin and upper lip for free. While that part was totally and completely uncomfortable I was very pleased with the results.
The only thing I didn’t like about my visit to Tutiya was that I was asked where I had previously gone to get my brows done and she proceeded to talk down about that other business. It just wasn’t very professional.

I took advantage of an Amazon coupon that was being offered. After getting my eyebrows threaded, Mojgan noticed that I had permanent eyebrows tattooed on. She asked me about them but basically wanted to know how much I had paid to have them done and then retouched. After I told her, she told me she could do the same and for the same amount. This amount was $ 45.00 for the touch up.
My first thought was to ask if she had a business license to include tattooing, however, I didn’t. I went ahead and scheduled an appointment. On the day of the appointment, I went in and the first thing out of her mouth was a fee that was $ 10 more than what she had told me she would do them for.
The next thing she told me was that I would have to come in after two weeks and have her retouch them again and of course pay another $ 45.00.
Maybe the shop owner thought I was born yesterday? I may not be a beautician, however, I have had my eyebrows done and retouched and I know that if they are done correctly, the person should not need to come in again after two weeks.
The bottom line here is that Mojgan was trying to run a SCAM on me. First by adding $ 10 to the total fee and then making it necessary to come in for a second visit that was not necessary.
This lady works at other salons too, I would definitely consider not going to this shop. She is a cheater and I for one am never returning.

I have been getting my face threaded since I was in my teens and Mojgan is by far one of the best people I have ever gotten threaded by. Not only did she do a great job, but she is just so darn sweet too.
I got my entire face, including my eyebrows threaded, and I couldn’t be happier.
Her suite is in the salon studios part of the building, just FYI.

Mojgan does an incredible job and her prices are very reasonable. I love my eyebrows to be thick and full, and she does a great job of that and stays true to their natural shape which is VERY important to me. I also really love the idea of the salon suites; it is very personal and quiet and whomever you’re working with has their attention entirely on you. Really great. I can see myself coming to her for years! (4 stars only because Unilocal tends to filter when there are lots of 5 star reviews)

If you are looking for a great place to have threading done… you don’t have to look anymore. I was plucking my eyebrows for years and decided to try threading. LOVE IT!!! If you want to try something new go see Mojgan. She is very personable, has good pricing and works around your schedule. Call her it is well worth it.
