History

Established in 2012.

True North Motors is a family owned and operated business. Our combined backgrounds in business management, IT and automotive claims adjusting allows us to bring our expertise in these fields together to create a truly unique web-​based car dealership that sells vehicles of a higher caliber. The vehicles are thoroughly inspected to ensure no hidden structural issues or other evidence of a collision. Since it’s inception, our goal with True North Motors is to be the alternative of the typical used car buying experience.

Don’t buy a car from this dealer. I bought an overpriced 2002 Nissan Sentra about 2 years ago, and have had nothing but problems since. I probably should have had a mechanic come and inspect the car first, because since I bought the it I have had to replace the head gasket, alternator, engine coils, and rewire the air conditioning. I know it’s an old car, but based on the so-​called history i was told about the car, I shouldn’t have had these problems. If I could go back in time to stop myself from buying this car I would.

True North Motors is a hidden gem. The process of getting a new car after my accident was a nightmare, but Andrew at True North Motors changed all that. Every place we went to felt sketchy, deceiving, slimy, or abrasive. Even the nicest person we talked to had some questionable hidden fees to add on. Andrew was the only person we felt comfortable with. We appreciated that he gave us his undivided attention. True North Motors is a small business, I felt like I was back in a small town in the Midwest. There was no «let me ask my manager» big dealership B.S., it was an honest pleasant deal. Other places made us jump through hoops just to take the car to a Firestone for inspection, True North didn’t. I’ve recommended them to all my friends and coworkers. Thank you Andrew and True North Motors for making the experience so easy and comfortable for us.

I can not say enough good things about this company! Was looking for a reliable safe car for my brother in college needing a commuter car that was insurance friendly, Andrew had years of experience in the industry and knew just what we needed. He was also willing to find what we needed in our price range ! We came to the warehouse, and came to a refreshing change of pace. He wasn’t the classic car salesman, he was very patient, answered all questions and was focused on what we needed. Definitely awesome to see a family owned still around with his dad was around working as well and felt like a very welcoming business. He walked us through the whole process and had some awesome other local family owned businesses recommendations that we still use today! Those cars were all beauty’s and the warehouse feel is the way to go! Diamond in the rough!

As I work on the rusting paint from the inferior «repair-​paint» job on the roof of the 2003 Ford Escape I bought two years ago I thought about all the things I’ve had done to this vehicle since I purchased it. I had to have the fuel pump replaced, the airbag sensors replaced, oh and the oil pan that I was told had been replaced by the vendor, is leaking already I thought… really!!? For what I paid I got jobbed. My fault I should have vetted the vehicle better, so before you buy, scrutinize the vehicle with a fine tooth comb and negotiate down big time.

I was recently looking for a used Lexus RX 300, and after finding several options that I wasn’t thrilled with I came across True North Motors on
The RX from True North Motors stood out from the competition, and Andrew was straight forward and very helpful throughout the buying process. Andrew took his time to answer all of my questions, and never pressured me to buy the vehicle. I felt very confident and after doing my homework and taking a test drive, I bought the RX. I’m very happy and will gladly recommend Andrew and True North Motors to anyone looking to find a great used vehicle. His vehicles are clean, well inspected, and as close to new as a used car could be. Next time I’m looking for another used vehicle, I will call True North Motors first.
