My father bought a pair of shoes from this establishment and one of the shoes split on the top of the shoe within a couple of months. My father is in his 80’s so I can’t imagine this occurred due to atypical wear and tear. He brought them back for an exchange(paid full price when he bought them). They told him they don’t carry that particular shoe anymore and refused to make this right… Prices may be reasonable but that’s all that was about this shopping experience!

Bought a pair of sketchers a few months ago and wore them a few times and they split on the side. Took them back and they told me their return policy was only within 45 days and nothing can be done. Not what I call a company that stands behind its product.

Great store! Great salespeople! I’ve worn nothing but Skechers(yes, even dressy heeled shoes!) for years and can always find something new here. Great selection, and if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they will have it shipped to your house free of charge. I was a little leery since I was going out of town, but they arrived just in time!

I very rarely write a Unilocal review but in this case I must! Oliver from Sketchers has the BEST Customer Service skills in the world! I live in sparkly flip flops and unfortunitly my pair broke after two days. Oliver not only tracked down a new pair but had them sent to me. If you looked up Quality customer service with a smile in the dictionary you would find Olivers name right next to it. I hope they promote him. This man should be sent to every store and train all the employees on his customer service skills. Oliver thank you and I will never go anywjere else for my flip flops… Bobbi Greenbaum

Alot of people just use Unilocal,for sharing negative experiences… They happen and it’s good to let people know. There are also some AMAZING experiences that need to be shared too! My husband and I made a few shoe purchases at this Skechers’ store this year. A couple times or so a year, we make the drive to the snazzy Oaks Shopping Mall in Thousand Oaks. Our first visit was Memorial Day this year. I was ready to try out a pair of Shape Ups to see if they match the hype. So I paid full price for them, and my husband took advantage of the 50% off the second pair special. Since we were traveling over the long weekend, our credit card company became alarmed and blocked our card. We didn’t know this and attempted to use it to make the purchase. The young man who helped us was very pleasant and professional, and did all he could to get the transaction to go through on the credit card. He even called in to see what was up. Then we switch over to our debit card, and that transaction was a little challenging. He persevered and got it to work after several attempts. He apologized and fought becoming frustrated with the technology not working. We appreciated his efforts and finally walked out with our 2 new pairs of shoes. My husband loves his Skechers. And I’ve become a Shape Ups junkie. I can’t say they do alllll that the TV ads claim, but my legs are a lot toner from simply walking around in my Shape Ups. Unfortunately, my very expensive pair of Shape Ups deteriorated at the heel inside — the fabric tore up, then the blue foam padding and then even the white lining on the inside of the heel! During our second visit to Thousand Oaks this year, on 12/23, I took this pair of shoes into the store and asked if I could have them replaced with a similar pair. The young lady who waited on us checked with her manager and gave me the good news that I could get a replacement pair. I’d tossed the original receipt so I had to take a slight loss in the price difference, but she made up for part of that by working out a discount on another new pair of Skechers my husband got this second trip. I didn’t have to fuss or whine or assert myself in making the request for a replacement. We were treated respectfully and given great customer service. Not only are we fans of Skechers, we are fans of this particular Skechers store and the great customer service they provide. Buy your next pair of Skechers here!
