I came here upon seeing all the positive reviews and am very disappointed. I lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn for 17 years and there are so many wonderful cobblers so I am very attentive to detail and pricing. When I picked my boots up, they appeared okay, but I did notice the heavy-​handedness of shoe polish. I went home to wipe away the crazy thick polish and underneath it was bits of adhesive that smeared all over. Seriously? It’s like if I had glue on my hands and decided to mask it by using make-​up. It’s going to look terrible if you don’t fix the root of the problem, so obviously my shoes looked horrible once I saw them up close. With some elbow grease, I managed to get the glue off and used mineral oil to condition the leather back to normal. My shoes were not ruined, but it was certainly annoying considering I spent $ 60 to resole my boots. Who wants to work on their own shoes after they’ve just been to the cobbler? They were too lazy to do the job correctly and that is just not good business or common sense.

I decided to use this service based on the good Unilocal reviews… I must have caught him on a couple of bad days as I wasn’t impressed.
Firstly when he gave me a quote to reheel my leather boots he said $ 20, then changed it quickly to $ 30, then when I got home and checked the receipt I had been charged $ 30.75. So he added $ 10.75 to his original quote.
Two days later I went to pick up my boots. I gave him a description and the ticket he had written out with the corresponding number to the boots. He spent about 10 mins looking for them, at which point I was starting to wonder if he had lost them! They are my favourite Italian leather boots which I purchased in Rome so I was panicking. In the end he asked me to go in the back of the shop with him to see if I could find them. Luckily I did!
On neither occasion did he greet me when I entered the shop or say thank you for my service. I think I’ll keep on going to the shoe repair store in Westfield Topanga Mall. I have received much better service there.

Highly recommend this shop — they fixed some battered leather shoes I didn’t want to toss just yet, and added new leather to my briefcase straps which were worn on the underside but everything else was fine. Matched the leather perfectly on the straps that unless I tell someone, you would never know. I was very happy esp since the repairs done professionally and so much cheaper than buying new.

Shoe Wiz is tremendous and I feel fortunate to have stumbled across Harry the owner and his expert craftsmanship.
Harry is a fantastic cobbler and leather maven that I had the great fortune of using when he was in Beverly Hills. My old girlfriend swore by Harry and his skills. I lost track of him when I lost track of my old girlfriend as well. Low and behold, viola, abracadabra he shows up in Westlake Village…
I was picking up some food to go from Stone Fire Grill next door and actually ended up parking in front of his store which was new. Omg it’s Harry in my hood there is a god afterall.
Truly a supremely talented cobbler. We chatted for a minute as I needed to control my excitement and man crush lol
I came back with the male version of Imelda Marcos shoe collection to be rejuvenated by Harry. With great excitement I went back for my repaired boots and shoes which were all nicely bagged, tagged and polished I was a kid in a candy store with a shoe fetish…
Harry and Shoe Wiz are a gift from the gods for all those shoe aficionados in the Conejo Valley… Enjoy and your welcome…

I am a shoe kind of gal and so having a shoe shop that does quality repairs and waterproofing comes with the territory! I initially brought Shoe Wiz just a few pairs of shoes at first to test them out. Once I saw the caliber of work they provided, I came in with a whole bag of boots and shoes for Harry to work on! I’ve had them work on a variety of brands: Cole Haan, Valentino, Manolo and he can handle it all! I even brought a Chloe purse for him to condition/​waterproof. Harry spent years working in Beverly Hills so he’s no stranger to high end shoes and purses. The only thing I would wish was different was that I had discovered them years ago!

Finally — a wonderful shoe repair with friendly, talented, and timely service in the Conejo Valley. They have gained a customer for life. Fixed my daughter’s shoes in minutes and helped me snug-​up a loose fitting pair of Tory Burch high heels. They are fair and reasonably priced. We will be back.

It’s great to have a true craftsman like Harry in TO. I brought in a pair of shoes that desperately needed new soles and to my amazement he replaced the soles with imported Italian soles. Could not be happier with the quality of his work. Plus he polished them to look like new. I’ll echo the other positive reviews and say Shoe Wiz is the best!

Needed two pairs of shoes repaired in a fairly short amount of time and the owner came through big time. Shoes were ready in two days and the craftsmanship is superb. A friend of mine recommend me to take my high quality shoes to Shoewiz for repair. I dropped off 2 pairs of high end Italian Jo ghost and Gianni Barbatos to Harry. When I went to pick them up the next day I was amazed at the quality of work and detail he had put into the repair. Very skilled craftsmanship for repairing the soles and leather! I’ve been to a few and they have been very generic and I don’t like generic work especially when it comes to good quality items I own. Will be back for sure!

So happy to have found Shoe Whiz! The owners are extremely friendly, the work is excellent & prices are fair. Believe me, I have made the rounds of shoe repair shops in Westlake, TO & Agoura, and had some bad experiences. I’m so happy to finally see a Shoe Wiz shoe repair in Thousand Oaks. I have been getting all my repairs done by Harry for years at his previous location in Beverly Hills. He truly is an expert. I have always been satisfied by the work he does. If you need any of your leather goods fixed he’s your guy. He is also an expert in custom work, he is currently working on a custom alligator purse that I’m getting made for my wife which is costing me a less than a fraction of the price of what I would pay at a high end store. The amount of detail and cleanliness shows in his work. So happy to have him in Thousand Oaks !

Had some shoe repairs done recently. Harry (I think that’s his name) was very friendly when I dropped off three pairs of shoes. I was very happy when I picked up the shoes because the bill was a lot less than I thought it would be. A plus, there was no attitude (another local repair store on the boulevard makes you feel like they are doing me a favor whenever I took items there). Anyway, I would highly recommend Shoe Wiz!
