Select Staffing

If I could give them zero stars I would. Lacey used to be my contact person. With her gone, and a new branch manager, this place has gone downhill fast.
After having a long term temp position that ended and contacting them several times I never received any follow ups. Was never assigned to someone new. They never even bothered to contact me and say that Lacey had left the company. I had to call and ask for her. Only to be told that she hadn’t been working there for a week!
Incredibly rude and unprofessional. The companies they fit you with are rarely a good match, and not what you had originally wanted. Don’t bother trying to work with them, unless David gets fired as branch manager b

What I’ve learned is that the wonderful employees such as Lacey and Michelle and the company (or at least this location) are not exclusively linked. This location is very lax, appearing unprofessional most times, emailed messages and resumes go unanswered, despite a current post directing you to submit or inquire in such manner (s), and there is no after hours way to receive the information you may or may not need for the following day. With the short-​term assignments there were times that I was unsure if I should return to the client the following day or not. With no way to contact the staffing agency after hours I guessed. I decided to show up and if they needed my, wonderful; if not, they’d send me home. This location is not the worst place, simply average. A tip for people who want work with them; They’re not the best at starting/​keeping up conversation (s), feel free to frequently contact them, almost naggingly, for an update.

Couldn’t even get a scheduled interview for this place. Very rude and unprofessional over the phone. Never again.

I’ve never worked with a staffing agency until this company and it was way better than I expected! The recruiter I worked with Michelle was incredibly helpful and always followed up with me and prepped me before my interviews. She seemed to go above and beyond in helping place me. I definitely recommend this agency to everyone!

I thoroughly enjoyed the services and professionalism of Select Staffing. The long term contract that I was successfully assigned to was a perfect fit for my skill set. The pay and location were ideal. One of the main reasons I liked using Select Staffing was the interviewing process. They actually took the time to video tape my interview to send out with my resume. The good news was I was assigned in record speed, two days later. It was a case of being in the right place at the right time with the right staffing agency. I have never had such a great experience at any other staffing company. In addition I have also referred two friends to Select Staffing and they have both been placed on well-​paying assignments. Thank you again Select Staffing for actually going the extra mile and exceeding all my needs.

First of all they really suck! They don’t follow up with you. I been inside of their office and half of the time the receptionist are told by the recruiters tell them to call later or let them leave me a message. ! Like common they get paid to help people out! I believe most agencies are like that now and days! But very terrible and the ladies their don’t do anything they pretend their doing something but in reality they could care less. Specially this Vivian and Maria girl suck!

I have been employed as a contract worker through Select Staffing in the Westlake area over a period of two and a half years. I am university educated and have a strong skill set and diverse working background, and was looking for an agency in Westlake who could provide the respected professional service I was looking for. I did background research before I approached Select Staffing as I was looking for a personnel company that had a connection with some of the larger companies in the area: in fact, Select Staffing are a preferred provider for some of these companies. From the time I first visited their office, and continuously since then, I have had exemplary, professional service and can highly recommend them. Their strong work ethic worked in my favor, as they have been very proactive in finding me a variety of successful contract positions with a major company. My starting wage with the company, which was arrived at following negotiations by Select Staffing was very competitive when I commenced, and has increased incrementally since then. In fact, I have now secured a permanent position with the company. In summary, I have nothing but praise for Michelle Reuven and her team, and the service they provided.

I’ve been in this place 2 times over say the last 5 years, and spent a couple of hours there each time to register, take tests, watch videos, and interview with staff. They never followed up with me, even when I was calling weekly for work, nothing. I am educated with many skills, and they never found me anything. I mean, I had a recruiter at a competing agency go out of her way to find me a job for $ 36.50/hr. She worked with me to tailor my resume until we found a position. This place never did a single thing to find me work. I thought these people are on a commission, and their job is to do everything they can to place people. It isn’t that they didn’t find me work, they didn’t seem to make any effort to find me work. Very impersonal people working there as well. If all they want to do is go through the motions of applying, don’t bother. I’m astonished they have been in this location for many years and are still in business. My time is important, and I wish I could be compensated for the time I wasted in the offices of Select Staffing.

If it were possible, I would give these guys a BIG FAT ZERO! This guy «Blake» who works there is the worst: an idiot and the worst customer service. The world of employment agencies in the Thousand Oaks area is huge and varied, find another place to list your job or to get one.

Another awful staffing agency. The jobs they advertise, they do not even actually have. The customer service is terrible. It seems as if you are bothering them if you call.
Once they have placed a person, this company washes their hands of you. if your assignment ends or is terminated, you will not get placed again.
Do not bother with this staffing agency. This is one of the worst.
