Notre Dame Learning Center

After touring a dozen preschools I stumbled across Notre Dame Learning Center on a map search. I instantly felt that this was the school for my son. We had to wait a few months for him to start because he had to be 2years 9 months. It was worth the wait! I love that every time I pick my son up he looks like he’s having the time of his life! I had been working with my son to learn songs and his ABC’s before he started but he never participated with me much. Within a week of starting he came home singing songs, telling stories, and talking incessantly about his friends and teachers. We feel so blessed to have a found such a great preschool!!!

This preschool is fantastic! The staff is warm and caring and the facility is clean and safe. The kids play both outdoors and indoors and learn so much. We will happily be sending our daughter to NDLC through the summer and are excited to see her growth next year in the 4 year old class!

I feel very fortunate to have found a preschool as wonderful as NDLC. Moving here from the midwest, finding a good preschool was our most important concern. We toured many schools in the area, but the level of interaction and comfort I saw between my son and teachers on our first visit ended our search. I knew we had found the right school.
The teachers and sisters at the school as amazing. They have great knowledge and understanding of child development. They strike a great balance between fun, love, discipline and learning. I am constantly impressed by the amount of time and patience they take in helping the children learn to understand and express themselves with each other. They take the time to instill confidence in the kids as they teach them to maneuver daily interactions with their playmates.
My son is happily settled in this school and developing well. The teachers and sisters are truly amazing. I highly recommend NDLC.

I cannot say enough nice things about Notre Dame Learning Center. I only wish I found it sooner! My youngest attends there now and wish I knew about it with my oldest. It is located next to the convent, behind La Reina High School.
All of the teachers and Nuns there are so caring and nice. My son loves going to school and puts this working parent at ease for my child to be at such a warm place. They have small class sizes which is good. They have one 3 year old class and one 4 year old class. There are plenty of caregivers there. In the afternoons, they have some La Reina students helping out, while receiving Community Hours, which is nice.
It’s so clean there and really is a hidden gem in Thousand Oaks. As a previous poster stated, I had previously thought was a tutoring center and not a preschool. Great surprise! I highly recommend.

I just can’t say enough about NDLC!
The facility is clean (I mean REALLY CLEAN). the adult supervision is professional and personable. The toys are abundant and cleaned every day. There are always new projects for the kids to play and interact with.
My daughter comes home happy and exhausted (in the best way).
On Saturday she asks about going to school. We couldn’t be happier.

This school is a safe, wholesome, caring environment for your child to «learn through play». Very high ratio of staff to child. Great hours for dual working parents or single working parent families. I toured over 10 preschools before I decided on Notre Dame for my son and glad I did!

after exhausting all of our options we didnt know where to go. then by chance, i read about Norte Dame Learning Center. at first, i thought it was a tutoring place. was i wrong.
upon the inital call, i was hooked. i was invited in and the moment we were greeted, this was the place for my son.
it was hard for me to let go on his first day. i am glad i did. i know he is safe and in great hands. he spent nearly 3 years there. now is in 2^nd grade at St Patricks. my youngest just started in January. couldnt wait for that to happen.
i hated baby sitters.
the Sisters of Notre Dame interact with the children. the run, sit, read, get their hands dirty and just provide what children need. attention. care. love. security.
i am still wishing they would open a k-​12.

First let me say that my daughter has only attended this school for 1 month. We toured several schools. My husband loved how safe and secure the school was. You can’t even see it from the street. You’d never know it’s there. The sisters and teachers seemed to be so dedicated and that’s what I liked the most.
As far as my daughter goes, she cries or throws a fit almost every time I’ve picked her up. She counts the days until her next day of school. So that’s a good sign. She loves it. I love it. We think it’s a great school

Notre Dame Learning Center is a hidden gem in Thousand Oaks. My youngest currently attends, following in the footsteps of his two older siblings who graduated from NDLC. All three of my children have very different personalities and strengths — yet they all have loved /​love their time at NDLC.
I started my older two children at different preschools initially because of proximity to my home and to go to the «popular’ school — but, in a few short months it was clear that just because a preschool is ‘popular’, doesn’t mean it is the best school. By time my third child started preschool — i learned my lesson and went straight to NDLC!
The teachers and sisters at NDCL are very attentive and have an amazing way of teaching the children to socialize, use their imagination, develop their self confidence, and prepare them for Kindergarten. NDLC has become a part of our extended family — and the school is truly a treasure to us.

The sisters have set up a great school and have hired two wonderful teachers. Both of our children have attended NDLC, one still there.
There’s plenty of play and exercise, wonderful, imaginative projects, and your child will be ready for Kindergarten at the end.
I’m not Catholic but am glad to have been able to send my children here. This is truly a wonderful place for kids.

Notre Dame Learning Center is a wonderful preschool and a blessing to our family. Our oldest daughter attended (and graduated) and is now doing especially well in grade school. Now she enjoys going back to visit and assist the teachers during special events. Our youngest daughter currently attends and loves it! She runs from the parking lot to school every morning! Aside from having a beautiful, spacious, and secure facility, the grounds are immaculate. However, it is the teachers and staff that truly makes NDLC special. They create such a family-​oriented, loving, patient, and cheerful environment. They are so accomodating and ensure excellent communications with parents. They treat every child with such love and care. The kids simply love being there. We feel so blessed to be part of the NDLC family!

We are a family of 6, 3 of our children have attended NDLC and we for sure plan on our fourth little one to attend. I found out about this school in 2007 when I was shopping preschools for our first born, as you can imagine it being our first I searched high and low for the best. When we toured NDLC we new we found a gem. So different from the rest, there is a true sense of love, patience, and understanding for all the children. The teachers and sisters are amazing together creating an element of safety, friendship and love. My two oldest boys now attend St. Paschal Baylon School and were well prepared to do so, transitioning beautifully. Our third is now at NDLC, he can’t wait to get to school in the morning and never wants to leave when I come pick him up. Extended after care is a great perk if you are working parent. Take a tour and check it out for yourself you will be happy you did.

Notre Dame Learning Center is for sure one of the best pre-​schools in the Conejo Valley. Great, loving, and very well qualified teachers will help your child reach his/​her potential in a learning trough play environment.
I’m amazed to see how much love and attention each kid gets here. My little one loves the school, teachers and classmates, (it’s like a big family here), plus he has learned a lot without really being aware of it, that the magic of their philosophy.
