Very disappointing. Expensive for the quality. There are no returns, only store credit so make sure you like what you get before you leave the premises. Watch fob didn’t work either. Waste of time, now I am back to square one. Will never return to this costume shop.

This store has a very large selection and the staff have always been friendly and helpful during my visits. The merchandise is high quality; the only drawback is the price. I’ve used them on occasion when I have to have a costume solution and can’t wait to have some Ebay seller ship it to me from China. When I come to Magic Planet, they have what I need, but I do end up paying 2 – 3 times what I would pay online for something of similar (or somewhat less) quality.
If you need something in a hurry, or want to really be able to see and feel and try on the costume piece before you buy it, this is your store. If you’re poor, I recommend Ebay.

I love this store! It’s a high-​end costume shop with an extensive selection of costumes, accessories, and magic items (decks of cards, etc.). The store is clean, bright, and extremely well organized. Every square foot is utilized to the full extent. The store carries everything from flapper dresses to 50s to steampunk. Lots of shoes — clown shoes, crazy platform shoes, drag queen type stuff, killer boots — shop here next time you need a pair of black leather spiked heel boots adorned with mini handcuffs :-). The store carries wigs, hats, eyeglasses, goggles, makeup, costume swords and guns, so much to see. Everything seemed to be at the high-​end of the quality scale. Even the selection of bagged costumes looked to be above average. We spotted an orange NASA astronaut costume — complete with helmet, a bagged Naruto costume, some gorgeous Mad Hatter steampunk top hats, some great chain mail (or mail for the purists out there), and much, much more. Stop in and check out this place. You won’t be disappointed. I’m holding back one star only because we’ve just browsed so far. Even though we were just looking, the person behind the counter (who might be the owner, I don’t know) was friendly and personable. Put this store on your must-​see list the next time you are patronizing businesses along Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Nice set up, but the very condescending tone from the staff when asking a question is a big detraction from the business. Maybe this is an off day for an individual but most places hire people with like personalities. Will not go back.

Haven’t been in Magic planet in years. Went into the new store and was blown away. This was my candy store. The selection and quality were awesome. Mike the owner was great. Friendly and helpful without being pushy. This will be a definite regular stop every time I come to California to visit my family.

This place is fantastic. From the location, hours, pricing and selection, they are top-​notch. I have used high-​end costume shops in Los Angeles and the valley, and this blows them away. Friendly attitudes, great service, and everything you need in one spot. I highly recommend this to anyone in need of a Halloween costume or any special outfit during the year. I have worked with him for several years and can’t say enough good things about this business.

Magic planet is an awesome costume shop! The costumes are great quality, not cheesy junk you get at most costume stores. The staff is very helpful. The quality of their costumes is insane and the place is so clean you can eat off the floor! The owner is very friendly and knowledgable and this store is open all year long. Needed a costume in a hurry Halloween Eve. Called ahead and got a great suggestion for a Katy Perry outfit from the owner. In less than 10 minutes had the perfect wig, tutu, and eyelashes. A bit expensive but perfect!

Beautiful costumes and accessories, cool novelty items, and owner Mike was very helpful with accessorizing my flapper costume. Great place, fantastic service. Not your typical cheap-​o Halloween costume store with seasonal employees, this is a career for these guys.

Magic Planet has it all! Whatever you are looking for, they’ve got it! This place has QUALITY costumes and accessories, not Junk ! (like some costume shops.) The new store is super clean and organized; you don’t get overwhelmed when you walk in! My sons look forward to coming here every Halloween to get their costumes. The staff is knowledgeable and really friendly. This is a one-​stop-​shop and we wouldn’t shop anywhere else for our costume needs!
