Ugly service under ugly management. Near to impossible to get help in store. On register when I asked for today discounts cashier required me to have my smartphone with me. I don’t use smartphone and was punished for it by not given discount.
I was contacted corporate office with this issue and they informed me that issue was forwarded back to store. But store never contacted me to solve the issue.
Buyers beware!!! If you ever get any problem at this store you have no way to solve it because of totally irresponsible management in store and in corporate office.

Changing my reviews to 4 stars because since my bad experience at Joanns with the young female manager rolling her eyes at me, I haven’t had another bad experience and I’m a frequent visitor. I really like the guy that works there who is maybe a manager also? He’s so helpful and the ladies at the cutting counter are hard workers. I do think they are understaffed but I don’t think that will change.

Wanted to give five stars just to help balance out the folks who were hating on Jo-Ann’s. This is my go-​to for yarn purchases and seasonal items. It’s more convenient for me than Michael’s, and I like the variety.
I decorate tables for various events a local non-​profit holds. My supplies and inspiration invariably come from this store. The last Christmas season brought some great design choices.
With their seasonal sales and coupons, I saved a lot of money. Able to find some unique gifts here, too. Love that they carry Susan Winget designed merchandise.
The cashiers are generally friendly, the store is usually reasonably clean and well-​merchandised. Normally have to convince myself to stick to a budget when I come in, or I could go crazy with additional purchases.

I admit, I was a little hesitant about going out of my way to go to this store after reading the reviews, but my experiences here to date have all been positive.
I’ve been to this store about 3 times in the last month– twice during the holiday rush. The first two times were satisfactory. Even though the store was busy, I thought the crowd was handled well. While there was a wait at the fabric counter, their number system helped keep customers organized without making them wait in line. I was able to explore the patterns nearby while I kept an eye and an ear out for my number to be called, and the fabric cutters were friendly and efficient. The cashiers were also helpful with processing the online coupons so that I could take advantage of the discounts.
My most recent trip though was definitely my most pleasant. After a rough day, I stopped in to find some fabric for a project I’d been thinking about for a while, and I had something very specific in mind. While I was not able to find what I was looking for (beige/​red plaid linen), the fabrics they did have inspired my project to take a new turn, and I picked out a different fabric and took it to the counter. I was promptly assisted by Anna who was very friendly, and we chatted about my project as she cut my fabric. When I explained to her what I was doing, she made some excellent suggestions about how I could add to it, and she seemed as excited about my project as I was. She was very knowledgeable about the things I would need, and she was able to help me select the appropriate interfacing since my pattern was not very specific. I was very pleased with her service and the items she helped me find. Elijah was my cashier, and he scanned and bagged my purchases quickly, along with scanning my online coupons, while chatting and joking with me. I can’t wait to start my next project so I can come back to purchase my supplies.
So, why the four stars instead of five? As I mentioned, I wasn’t able to find exactly what I was looking for, and while there was a large selection of cottons, I couldn’t find many linens or heavier fabrics with patterns that were not for decorative purposes. Plaids were tough to find too. I will say though that this was the second Joann’s I visited that day, and this one definitely had the better selection. Also, I was slightly dismayed that their restroom was out of order, which cut my trip a little shorter than it probably would have otherwise been.

This place always has really poor service. There is always a ridiculous story to tell about my experiences shopping here. Today the cashier closed the register and wasn’t going to give me my change. I called attention to the fact that he owed me cash back. He had to ask how much money I gave him because he had no idea. Wow. That has never happened to me anywhere! No shop, restaurant, Girl Scout cookie booth… ugh.
If its convenient to shop for craft supplies elsewhere, I recommend it.

I am a little late leaving my review. I had spent $ 35 for a crochet 101 basic class for the beginning of August. After I had paid the registration fee I received emails that classes would be ½ off that weekend for an «open house» yet I never received half of my registration fee back.
I went to the class that had only myself and another person in it. We were ushered to a corner in the back of the store. The teacher did very little demonstration of the various stitches and how to do them. There was no organization or rhyme or reason to the class. It was evident that, as students, we were struggling. The teacher was unable to help us. Instead she began chatting with other customers and showed pictures of her prized work while us students, who paid for the class, were about to give up in frustration.
I only write this review now because I have recently purchased a basic crochet course to watch on Craftsy for $ 19.99 and it is considerably more in depth than the $ 35 I paid for lack of instruction!!! Each stitch is detailed. How to gauge is detailed. It has everything I would have expected from a $ 35 class for in person instruction.
I will never take another class at Joann’s again. If you want quality instruction, I recommend Craftsy.

This Jo-​Ann location offers a variety of classes for kids and adults. Parking wasn’t an issue. We were able to schedule a private cupcake decorating class for 5. All of the supplies we needed for the class were in stock. Mindy was our instructor and she was fabulous. She was patient and fun. We had such a great experience. We will definitely be going back for another class if Mindy is the teacher!

The store is disorganized as hell, and honestly there are probably only about three employees who don’t scare the hell out of me. I keep my crafting to a minimum just to avoid having to go there.

The store is dingy and in need of a remodel.
The staff makes it very clear they do not want to help. I asked for help locating an item. The girl told me it was probably in the giant mess in the back. Didn’t offer to help, went back to stocking.

This store sucks! Waited at least 15 minutes to get one yard of fabric cut! Associate did not even acknowledge me or anyone in line. This is so frustrating!!! Store had fabrics on the floor, items misplaced, can’t find anyone on the floor. Worst customer service!

Avoid the framing department at all costs. Horrible, shoddy work if it even gets done at all. The last job I took there wasn’t completed after 3 weeks, past the deadline and all items were in stock when I left the poster behind to be framed. Another poster framing job fell apart inside the frame before I even had a chance to hang it on my wall. They don’t care, they’re lazy and incompetent. They stink and they should be ashamed. You’re all fired. Seriously.

Worst customer service. Long long lines and never anyone on the floor to tell you where things are. I only come when I have to

I have recently started knitting and I stop in here if I need supplies. You might not find every little thing you need but the employees are so helpful and cheerful, it makes for a great experience every time.

This is a pretty standard JoAnn’s store but I just had a great experience there the other day with my mom. The employee who was helping us, Claudia, went above and beyond in answering our questions and helping us figure out exactly what we needed. Claudia was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Based on this interaction alone, I would definitely shop here again.

Went here with my grandson today to buy strings to make a braclet. The Clerk was very helpful in finding it. When we went to look for my fabric back, the person I asked seemed a little hurried, but we found it. I appreciate that there is a good craft and fabric center in our neighborhood. Generally … a great place to be. Can’t wait to get in the sewing class for my daughter too!

Busy shopping center. Parking lot gets full.
This location seems a little short staffed. At the fabric counter there was a long wait. You need to grab a ticket and wait. Then when you go to pay, its another really long line.
They fabric selection was great. We have been here a few times for kid’s print fabrics and velvet. If you can’t find what you are looking for, I’d poke around the fabric counter and look at «go backs». All the recently selected bolts sit there until someone has time to put it all back.

I like that this store has a good selection of basic craft supplies plus a good selection of fabric and sewing supplies. There aren’t a lot of other stores in the TO area that do either, so finding both in the same building is nice. It can be hard to find someone to help you and the lines are often long (both to check out, or to get fabric cut), but they usually have what I need, and the prices seem fair. Often they have coupons you can use right on your smart phone.

Well, I guess I won’t be coming back. It’d give one star, but there was a woman who may have been Indian, who was amazing and helped find everything we needed. Taylor on the other hand, was speaking loudly about how she’s upset the new hires were not working the day before Halloween. When we asked her to cut the felt in half to double the length, she rudely told us «She can’t do it because if she messes it, it’s on her». She handed us scissors and told us to do it. If this is policy, then fine be nicer about it, but the black girl before her told us she would do it if we got back in line after we paid.
Besides that, the store was fine, everything was pretty neatly organized. If I stop being lazy, I might actually contact the store manger /​corporate.

Oh, how I love Jo-​Ann! I went in there looking for an eyelet setter and came out with a bunch of stuff I didn’t even need! Lots of departments had 30−50% off!
The salesman was very helpful and directed me to the aisle I needed for the eyelet setter. My arms were full and I decided I needed a basket. To my surprise, there was a stack of shopping baskets right there at the end of one of the aisles.
I’m into artsy-​fartsy, crafty stuff so I was wandering through the store for a long while, eyes wide open. When I finally made it up to the front to check out, the line was at least 10 people long! they had 3 registers open so it went pretty quickly.
