David L Biedebach, DC – Conejo Chiropractic Relief Center

I don’t recommend David Biedebach, DC. He took advantage of a motor vehicle accident for his monetary benefit. I went to him for years and the fee was approximately $ 60-​$ 88 for each office visit. Then I was in a rear-​end car accident that was the other party’s fault. He told me I needed a large number of visits to insure the health of my spine. I could not afford such a number of visits. He told me not to worry as the other party would be responsible for the payments. He then charged the other party’s insurance directly for an average of $ 120 per visit (for the same treatments I always received). The other party’s insurance paid $ 92 per visit. He refused to accept the payment from the insurance company despite several attempts to contact him to be paid by a lawyer who was handling the monies. Instead he sued me in small claims for the full amount. He didn’t even show up but sent a colleague. I had to wait an extra 2 hours for him to arrive, and I had been waiting already 4 hours. He lied in court saying I was in a «special room» that was for more expensive treatments, he interrupted my statement and took time from my statement which got cut short without me having a chance to complete it.
It has been 1 ½ years and I am still trying to financially recover from David Biedebach’s dishonest billing. I updated my post today as his response (below) to my former post is unconscionable. His remarks are dishonest and patronizing in an effort to negate my comments. The lawyer handling the monies NEVER told me not to pay David Biedebach — he, in fact, contacted him several times to pay him $ 92/​visit. David Biedebach refused it. I even talked to David Biedebach to tell him a lawyer would contact him to pay the bill. He responded, «I’m not talking to any lawyers». All other health care providers involved fully cooperated and received their payment. The lawyer NEVER threatened to sue David Biedebach because I NEVER gave permission for him to do so. I wanted the bill paid and done. There was NEVER any appearance of a lawyer that David Biedebach supposedly states he had to hire. He knew that payment would take time because of a car accident settlement. All other health care providers involved understood this and had no complaint with the time it took to be paid. I was clear with him from the beginning that I could not afford the extra visits, so he knew he was going to have to wait for insurance settlement. He advised me to go forth with the visits because he was sure the insurance would cover it. And, HE DIRECTLY BILLED THE OTHER PARTY’S INSURANCE. And, they did cover it: $ 92/​visit (more than his office bills patients for an adjustment).
David Biedebach was offered more-​than-​appropriate payment for his services. He refused to accept it, despite the offer being given several times. One can contact any chiropractor in the Conejo Valley and find that the fee for a basic spinal adjustment (which is the only treatment I received on each visit) is in the ballpark of $ 60-​$ 80, often less.
David Biedebach is dishonest.

Dave is a great Chiro and is one of the best in the Conejo Valley area. He has a great understanding of the whole body which makes treatment options for different ailments readily available to you that produce results. Therapy and treatment isn’t easy by any standard, but at the end of the day I was confident that my body was getting better and responding to treatment. I will go back to Dr. Biedebach any time. The whole process helped me get through a very stressful time so it was a relief to get treated by Dave and his staff.

One word — AMAZING!!! Went to see Dr. B a couple of weeks ago about an agonizing back pain that I was having, and IMMEDIATELY upon leaving his office, I felt like a brand new person! I can’t believe how helpful and polite he was! I can’t wait to go back!

I have had neck and back problems for years, if I had just known all it would take is a visit to David Biedebach for them to start to get solved I would have done it a long time ago! Great chiropractor, highly recommended.

Between sports and lifting weights my back and neck are a mess. I have had persistent pain for a while. A friend suggested I visit a chiropractor, which I never really wanted to since I assumed that is what old folks do. Man was I wrong. The initial treatment was a little rough due to years of strain on my body. But afterwards I felt like a brand new man. The staff and Dr. Biedebach are friendly and personable. They address my needs and ensure I leave feeling better.

I used Dr. B as my chiro more than 10 years ago, and its taken THAT long for the sting of his insurance scam to subside enough that I’m willing to seek out Chiro services again. Of course this time Unilocal is here to help me look. I was shocked to see that he has moved from Willow over to Townsgate, but only in that I can’t believe this guy is still in business.
The other negative reviews, are EXACTLY what he did to me, more than 10 years ago. Not only that but he had us multi level marketing our friends and family as well. When I brought my young boys in for an evaluation, he gave them both a grim diagnosis with terrible spine curves etc. When I took them to SCOI for a second opinion, you guessed it, they were both fine.
This guy is a piece of work. If you are foolish enough to sign up for his pay up front while I bill and keep all the insurance money scam, Don’t miss an appointment or try to just cancel the entire thing. His office will telemarket you, hounding you relentlessly until you give in or change your number. Thankfully the office was just a little afraid of my biker husband, so when he went in and told them to cease and desist, they did. Not before soaking me for that pay up front fee, AND billing (and keeping) my insurance. I did the book keeping, and it was twice what the upfront fee was, because I had excellent insurance which actually PAID their office well.
He also charged me up front for orthotics, and said when the insurance sent the check, they’d reimburse me. Huh? I have BCBS, so when I pay something up front, BCBS reimburses me, not the Dr. I can not see how this guy isn’t in JAIL for all the fraud he commits.
Run. Run as fast as you can from this guy. You’re better off letting the kids do your chiro work. Seriously.

My adult son has scoliosis and is also diagnosed with a developmental disability. Dr. Biedebach’s office staff is extremely kind to him and welcome him each week he goes to get an adjustment. Dr. Biedebach has helped my son with his lower back and straightened out his neck problems. Dr. B. has also made lifestyle recommendations that we have implemented for our son’s continued good health. We could not get more respect and or better chiropractic care with anyone else. Dr. Biedebach is the very best and my son loves to go to his appointment each week.

I see Dr. Biedebach for the treatment of my headache and neck pain. I had daily headches for years. I started taking over the counter pain meds and once the med were not helpfull went to my family doctor who prescribed vicodin for me for a couple of months and they were not happy every time I showed up in the office because I was runnning out of my med early. They finally ref me to pain mangement where I had no problem getting pain med. I was taking a lot of med which was making me drowzy and all I want to do was to sleep. I was about to lose my job. One of my co-​worker referred me to Dr. Biedebach. He did spent a lot of time educating me about my headache and neck pain and showed my daily exercises. I am under his care now and very happy. I have not missed any work since then. He has a very busy practice, but still find time to spend with me. I do look farword going to his office which is a very positive invironment.

Dr Biedebach gives medicine a terrible name! He is an absolute charlatan, and really should be censured by the Medical Board, due to the unscrupulous manner in which he practices. I went to him for an adjustment, and before I knew it, he had corraled me into an office for a 2 hour sales pitch, about why I should pay him $ 5000 in advance for his future services!!! I suffer from a very rare disease, and would do almost anything to seek a cure… Well, Dr B informed me and my wife he could «cure» me, once I gave him my Visa card to charge $ 5,000! My wife actually laughed at him and walked out!!! I’ll admit that I did allow him to adjust me a few times, but he’d spend no more than 3 minutes with me, adjust me, walk out, and charge my insurance over $ 250 per session!!! No heating pads, no electrical stimulation, nothing other than the old «adjust, run, and bill» routine!!! He quite simply is the worst doctor that I have ever encountered, bar none!
I have told my story to more people than I can remember, and it is amazing how many others were given this sales pitch by this Doctor! I actually considered sitting outside his office with a billboard that reads «I went to Dr. Biedebach… and… Larry H Parker got me $ 2.1 million dollars!» Please, please find another chiropractor, there are plenty of good ones in this area who, provide compassionate, competent care.!)
NO patient in pain and needing treatment should have to endure such «hard sale» tactics, especially when they are physically vulnerable. Truly unprofessional. I know of NO physician that conducts their practice in such manner… NONE! (oh, and yes, after you pay him $ 5,000, he’ll still invoice your insurance according to Dr B. Huh? He even told me «they’d sort it out at the end of the year, and I might get some money back!» Shameful!). Go online and Google «chiropractor and treatment contracts» and you’ll read how courts have found this action indefensible… the medical community is humiliated by it as well.

Awful. I went in as a mistake (was recommended to a woman he used to share an office with who truly IS a great dr.).
Truly a joke of an office. I was being SOLD chiropractic care with no regard to what my back might have needed. He was more interested in getting me to pay $ 5000 for a year of care than actually tending to my needs. I experienced the worst «used car salesman» scheme I’ve ever heard (and I’ve bought a lot of used cars)
I actually left there very angry and couldn’t believe that he sheisted me out of a couple hundred bucks for a sub par back cracking.
Not a good physician and a worse salesman. Not really sure how the guy stays in business but PLEASE for the love of god, don’t give him yours
