Garage door spring broke at 7 am Saturday. Left a voice mail for Conejo Genie and by 9:30 it was fixed and running great. Didn’t try to up-​sell. THANK YOU, Jim, for your prompt, professional service! I wish every company was as efficient and honest as Conejo Genie. Use them!

I spoke with several garage door companies and Conejo Genie Door was the most responsive even over a long weekend. I left a message assuming I would hear back on the next business day but Jim called me back that night. They were courteous, very professional, replaced the door and lift master chain drive and we could not be happier. I would recommend them very highly. Their workmanship is outstanding.

Jimmy did an amazing job! I have had two garage doors replaced by him and he has repaired two others on my rental properties. He is always very prompt and shows up in time. He will try and save you money by giving you options to repair before replacement. Him and his guys are clean and respectful too. I would recommend him and his crew 100%. He even replaced a motor same day!

My garage door and opener, developed some problems, rendering it intermittently inoperative, and occurred over the weekend.
I checked the website, for our previously fabulous, authorized Genie repair service company, «Conejo Genie Door Co.», and left a message for a needed service call. Jim, «the owner,» and proud father of Jimmy, his son and, a most formidable door repair specialist, called me back during the weekend, and we discussed my inoperative door and, scheduled a service call.
FYI, both dad, Jim and skilled son, Jimmy, had both performed «emergency door service» for my wife and I in Calabasas. In the past years, we couldn’t have been treated more nicely, nor more professionally, than we were.
Both dad, Jim, and son, Jimmy were fast and deliberate and, correct in trouble-​shooting various problem (s), which periodically occurred, Each time, really sensational, great and friendly courteous service, was bestowed upon us!
The prices, were always more than fair, their services, and fully stocked trucks, were ready for any job or repair, small or large. They prepare, to try to always be thorough, in one service call, to resolve problems, and to put smiles on customers faces, and perfectly operating doors and openers, at their residences.
They were reliable, diagnostic, highly-​skilled courteous, prompt and reasonably priced and fair, Everything worked perfectly and quietly; every part, was checked, lubed and cleaned; no laziness/​nothing was missed or overlooked!
What more, would satisfied customers ask for?
We’ve used them, referred them to others, and, shall continue to praise their work and business ethics and their collective character and integrity, as «that, is their stock in trade».
Be kind, nice and friendly. Have the necessary parts. Be prompt reliable and courteous. Do great work and, leave customers happy, knowing a real (and valuable) professional repair service, was rendered.
The above, to me, is what keeps viable businesses, viable, and what can keep ongoing generations of this business, always thriving!

I have used them a few times over the years, my most recent being just yesterday. One of the old springs on one of my doors broke, and I contacted them and spoke with Jim. They quoted me the price over the phone, and we made an appointment. Jimmy showed up exactly on time. I also had a complaint about another door wobbling when closing and wanted to put new springs on that one, too, as I had no idea how old the springs were. He examined the wobbling door carefully and showed me where it was rubbing against the frame. He said those springs were fine and should last longer and did not need to be replaced. He did some work on the door and installed some parts and suddenly it was working fine and quieter than I can ever remember it. He then proceeded to change the springs on the other door and serviced everything. The price was totally reasonable and everything works great. Both doors are so quiet now when opening and closing. As usual with them, I am really happy and will definitely use them again and continue to recommend them.

Jimmy and associate came out as scheduled and serviced my garage door openers. They were funny, friendly and knew what they were doing. Even programmed my car, which was an added plus. The next day the motor in the unit failed. What a coincidence! Jimmy returned the same day and fixed the unit. He refused payment even though the failed motor was a totally separate problem. This is an example of service, class and good business practice that I am pleased to write about. I highly recommend them.

Incredibly professional and friendly service! Jimmy arrived on time, and very efficiently replaced the worn out parts of our very old garage door to make it sound and run like a brand new door. Very reasonably priced, too! A positive experience from beginning to end.

Absolutely the first, and only, garage door opener repair company you should call in the VC! I call the office at 900am and Jim was at my doorstep at 1130am. He quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it to my satisfaction.
I’ve used another repair company in the past and felt taken when that repairman gave me a list of things I should repair. On the other hand, Jim only sold me the item that needed repair, saving me a ton of money. He’s got my future business and will pass along my endorsement to family and friends.

I was very impressed with Conejo Genie, and would recommend them to all my family and friends. After determining that my spring had way to many years on them. They order a extra heavy duty set and replaced the original six with four. Thanks Conejo Genie.

My Genie screw drive garage door opener would no longer open without assistance. Called Conejo Genie at 2 pm on a Friday. Jimmy was able to come by at 4, diagnose a bad coupler as well as the open limit switch (?). Parts replaced, door lubricated (so quiet now!) in 15 min. Jimmy also noticed that the opener when installed in’ 87 was mounted incorrectly, recommends going to a belt drive for quieter operation when replaced. Great service! Will definitely call them again.

Jimmy and his partner were great! Showed up on time and fixed my garage door within minutes, they also adjusted the door that was purchased elsewhere. Honest guys who knew their stuff and were very friendly. I highly recommend them.

After a bad run-​in with a complete scam artist, which thankfully my husband and I were able to spot BEFORE hiring him, we called Conejo Genie Door. I called on a Saturday morning at about 7 am and fully expected not to hear from anyone until Monday. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I heard from the owner Jim less than an hour later. He was even familiar with our neighborhood, saving me the time of explaining how to get there. His son Jimmy was at our house before noon and had the garage door up and running in no time at all. Unfortunately, another piece bit the dust that day. We called Jimmy and he came out first thing Monday morning and repaired it for minimal cost. Jimmy was honest, knowledgeable, efficient, and amiable to boot! Just a great experience with an old-​fashioned, honest, fair local company — who charged me less than a third of what the scam artist was selling. Call these guys. They rock!

We recently moved to a home with an old garage door and opener, that creaked and rumbled when opened. We called Conejo Genie Door Co., they were very responsive, repaired the door and the opener. Now it is so quiet! Conejo Genie Door Co. did a great job, at a very reasonable price. They will be our go to guys when we have the money to replace the old door that does not fit properly.

I had a new door and opener installed over 20 years ago by another company and several years ago I had an issue with the opener. Jim and his helper Jimmy came out, assessed the problem and installed a new opener for me. Just today my opener was acting up, maybe 4 or 5 years later. I called Jim Hubbs out from Conejo Genie Door. He came out as he said he would, looked at the opener and changed out a capacitor which was the problem, parts and labor at no charge to me. I was happy and he was professional. Conejo Genie Door know’s the business out in the field and Jim and his staff know the needs of the people. There number #1 in the business and these guys take care of the people… Thanks guys.

Let me add to the review, I called AZ Garage Doors the next day. They came out to look at the door «FOR FREE». They actually opened the unit up to look at it and told me the problem. New opener was installed in an hour. They never tried to sell me a door and were actually nice !! Call AZ Garage doors for your repair needs and save yourself the hassle. Also, Jim has called me twice now to argue with me about the $ 85 issue. He claims to be just following up — but he continues to be rude and confrontational.
Also, this is my first review. So I must have been real upset to bother coming here and write a review. Funny how Steve B. creates an account the day after I write a bad review. Feel free to email me about my experiance — I am a real person.

The best service call that I’ve ever had. Garage door tension spring broke so I made a quick call to this local company that I found in the yellow pages. I was told that a serviceman would arrive in 20 minutes… wow, this was off to a good start. Jim arrived as advised and was courteous, professional, friendly, and informative. Total cost was as quoted on the phone and NO extra costs were added for the oversized springs provided, replacement of a missing door hinge, or cleanup plus lubrication of the garage door opener worm gear. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants a job well done…

Imagine it! Christmas Eve Day! Went out to open my garage door and it came crashing down, my car was in prison! I called three different garage door companies to help me and Jim, from Conejo Genie Door was the only one to call me back. He was actually willing to come to the house on Christmas Eve, but I didn’t have the heart to pull him away from his family. Luckily, I had access to my daughter’s car, so I was able to finish my Christmas preparations.
Jim came to my house on December 26^th and got my car out of prison by replacing the broken spring on my garage door. Jim was such a nice guy and I highly recommend him and his company.
