Small group drawing and painting classes for kids thru adults. We love beginners of all ages and also offer private classes as well.

We produce bi-​annual public juried art shows for our students every June and December.

Since every artwork is special, we have in-​house matting and framing for our students, suitable for display in your home or office.

History

Established in 2006.

This business was purchased from the owners of Young at Art in April 2006.

Art Is Our Passion Inc., the new separate business entity was registered as California Corporation on April 3, 2006.

We opened our doors in The Agoura Hills City Mall on April 4, 2006, remaining in that mall until February 28, 2015.

Art Is Our Passion then moved to NorthStar mall in Thousand Oaks, CA. On March 2, 2015 we re-​opened Art Is Our Passion at 1321 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., suite 126, Thousand Oaks, CA 91 362.

As of July 1, 2015 we have taught over 2000 students the joy of drawing and painting in a knowledgeable, caring, and supportive environment. We have many former students who graduated from Southern California colleges and universities in art and design disciplines. We have former students that are successfully employed as architects, engineers, fashion designers, fine artists, illustrators and graphic designers.

Meet the Business Owner

Tom V.

Business Owner

Tom grew up in northeast Ohio, enjoying projects combining two & three dimensional art forms. He spent many days drawing then building wooden boats and rocking horses with his carpenter grandfather.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati, Tom moved to Southern California in 1983. After leaving BMW DesignWorks, Newbury Park in 1989, he formed Image & Form Design that continues to this day. Clients have included General Motors, Catalina Yachts, ElectraCraft, Micronor Inc.

Owning and directing Art is Our Passion since 2006 represents the attainment of not only a life-​long goal to teaching in a one-​on-​one setting, but the satisfaction of sharing his knowledge with his students just discovering the joys of their creative identity.

Tom & his wife Gail live in Moorpark. His daughter Megan lives in Buellton, pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Favorite activities outside art include marine photography, hiking, camping & sailing
