Came there and was met with friendly staff. The place was open and kind of messy but kind of expected at a grooming place. Parking of plenty out front. They did an incredible job on my pup the only draw back is they didn’t trim down his tail hair as requested. Also, the quoted time was 3 hrs but it was double that. So if your on a tight agenda Make sure you give yourself a big gap in your schedule to pick up your pet. Price was reasonable I would definitely come back.

PLEASE READ!: Took my senior English bulldog here to have a nice lady’s day to herself. Looked on Unilocal and saw this place has decent reviews. I had no appointment, but thought I’d give it a try. I walked in with my dog, and should’ve walked right out. The place smelled bad, not the usual dog groomer smell. There was a young girl with poor customer service at the front desk, another young girl washing the dogs in the back. There was no «adult supervision» around. I inquired about rates, and they said they could fit her in. I told them to call me when she’s ready. FOUR hours later they call me asking if I was going to pick my dog up. I thought maybe since I didn’t have an appointment, it was just taking a little bit of time to fit her in. I picked up my dog up and she acted like she was absolutely mortified to come home with me. Like she had just been punished. She didn’t even want to go to my car with me… what dog doesn’t like car rides?! Like she was scared of me! I love my dog like a child. So, I took her home and she acted traumatized. My dog started drooling like she was in pain, which she does when she is in pain. She even went to bed by herself without me. I didn’t want to think anything of it, until two weeks later, I saw on the news a dog, who just gave birth to her first litter, had died at Spawlash in Thornton, from asphyxiation in February 2015. I was furious and couldn’t believe it. This makes me feel like something definitely happened to my dog, but I’ll never know. Please don’t take your loved animal here.

So happy we stopped taking our dogs here. I never once heard from the owner regarding the issue in my last review, even though I was promised that I would be contacted by her. Also I just heard of the shocking news today that a dog died while in their care. This is so disgusting and my heart goes out to this family.

This place is being investigated due to the death of a dog while in their care. They tied the poor girl to a grooming table and then left her there. She fell off the table and choked to death. This NEVER should have happened, dogs should not be left unattended on top of a table, tied up. Its a no brainer… Dont trust them with your 4 legged kids.

BEWARE!!! The Spawlash in the Thorton location allowed a poor nursing mom doggie to hang itself!!! It was left on a grooming table, connected to a leash, UNSUPERVISED!!! The poor baby jumped or fell off and she died leaving her nursing pups and the horrified owner to deal with their negligence!
Be careful who you take you little fur babies to! Here is the story and a petition you can sign to close them down. JUST PICTURE HOW YOU WOULD FEEL IT IS HAPPENED TO YOUR LITTLE ONE!

Honey was a sweet Maltese that had just given birth for the first time to three puppies. After being nursed for about two month, the owner, Jose Martinez, thought it was time to have her cleaned. They scheduled Honey for an appointment at the Spawlash Grooming in Thornton, Colorado.
Hours after Honey was dropped off, Mr. Martinez received a call in which he was informed that her beloved pet dog had pass away. The dog had a leash on and somehow fell over the side of the grooming table. She choked herself until she gave her last breath.
While Thornton police claim nothing wrong was discovered at the pet grooming saloon, the Department of Agriculture have launched their own investigation.
It is obvious that the groomer did not pay sufficient attention to the dog, otherwise this would not have happened. It is clear negligence and someone has to pay for what happened to that sweet mother dog.
Please sign the petition and urge authorities to have the groomer’s license revoked, as this no longer is a safe place for animals!

We come here often and really like the options. The groomer is great, and the self service area is always clean with plenty of towels and shampoo. Great value too. The doggie blow dryer is very powerful too. Thanks for everything!

Great staff. Willing to share great tips for a new dog owner. My dog smelled amazing and his coat was so beautiful.

Three stars because the employees don’t seem to have their communication down when making appointments. I made an appointment for my 2 dogs and told the girl exactly what I wanted, saying I wanted the basic grooming package and the furminator treatment on both. When my husband dropped the dogs off, the girl at the desk asked him what he wanted with them. They had apparently not written down what I had discussed on the phone. Because of this, my dogs did not end up getting the furminator treatment, which was the main reason I wanted them groomed in the first place. They really need to take notes when people call to make an appointment.

Look my dog here to get groomed 3 separate times all three times I asked them not to shave my dog to please keep tail and ears but when I’d go to pick him up after a 3 ½ hour wait HE’S SHAVED! 55.00 for a quick shave that took almost four hours. That’s not grooming their stealing your money here

This is a great place to wash your dog big or small. The staff is friendly and they keep it clean which is tough w/​all the dog hair. The shampoo they have is also wonderful. My dogs don’t ming getting a bath in their large tubs.

I took my 4 and a half month old Shih Tzu there for his first haircut and I was not completely satisfied or completely disappointed either. He got a full grooming but it didn’t seem finished. There were parts of his fur that were longer than others and he had so much loose fur all over him! It was terrible! Besides those two disappointments he had a cute hair cut and didn’t seem to be traumatized. Maybe with more communication this could be a great place to take your pet.

The girl at the front desk either hates her job or hates her life. For someone so young, she is awfully bitter. Her whole attitude just sucked and that’s unfortunate because I was in the middle of a huge dog crisis that included tons of vomit and poop… not fun. Her attitude made things worse and if my poor baby wasn’t suffering in excrement and my water was turned off at home, I would have walked out.
Thankfully the experience gets better…
The owner came to help and offered me a discounted rate after my first wash since I thought I would be washing him several more times that day. Also the facilities are quite clean, convenient in size and the other little add ons and perks for free are great too!
I would come back, I just hope debbie downer is gone.

Recently brought my dog in for full grooming and am very happy with Spawlash. It’s a very cute, nice and clean place. It’s always hard dropping my little girl off at the groomers, but I felt much better about Spawlash than any other place I’ve taken her. Katie was very nice and did a wonderful job making my pup look beautiful and smell pretty.

So Spawlash sold… I tried to get dog food for one months asked for help from owner. Never got a single response. Was told they were getting a shipment in a couple days. Three days later no food. Wait it will be in in two days… three days later… nope. I give up. Small business usually get one chance I gave them three. Good luck. Please use this help.

My boy’s had a great day Sunday. It was their first visit to get cleaned up. They looked great and smelled even better. Thanks for treating them like they were your own and cleaning them up. The certificates were a great added touch of care. We will be back again and again.

This was the first place I ever brought Odie to get his nails clipped. I think I was more nervous than he was and even cried a little when they took him into the back room. The two girls working here were super nice and understanding about my «I feel like I’m a mom dropping my kid off for kindergarten» meltdown. Odie left with snazzy nails and a smattering of treat samples. Since this first visit, we’ve been back several times and will continue to bring him here for his monthly mani/​pedi (Or is it just a pedicure for dogs?) — Anyway, they do a great job and treat my little dude well, so I can’t complain.

Spawlash is wonderful. The staff is helpful, the place looks and smells really nice, and they have a great selection of pet-​related products. Their prices are very affordable for all the services that they provide, including self-​service dog baths, full service grooming services, etc.
The best part of going to Spawlash was knowing that my dog was in good hands. The second best part was the cute little certificate they gave me when my dog completed his first visit.

I used my
coupon today on my very hairy and fluffy Australian Shepherd. The full service dog wash, teethbrushing and deshedding spa treatment was needed and needed badly.
Before I left my dog, I filled out a form with all of the necessary vet information as she sniffed out the treats near the main counter. The two girls working with me right away turned on the puppy/​dog talk. You know how it goes, «Hey puppy wuppy» in that baby voice «Are you ready for your bath?» They treated my girl very well and I could tell they loved what they did.
I told them to just call me when my pooch were ready or if they had any problems. Two hours later I received a very polite phone call that they finished.
When I stopped in to pick up my dog, they had a great little package ready for me. My dog received her very own personalized certificate with her picture on it «Savannah’s First Bath at Spawlash,» a Spawlash rewards card, a few refrigerator magnets and the finger toothbrush they used to brush her teeth.
The certificate was really cute, it read, «I ruff a day at the spa! A nice warm bath washed away all the dirt I rolled in. A brush and blow dry makes me feel on top of the world, not to mention all of the attention I get. I can’t wait to go back to Spawlash!» The rewards card offers free toothbrushing or nail dremel ($ 10 value), free shampoo upgrade ($ 5 value) and a free bag of Dogswell or Zukes treats after 5^th grooming session.
Spawlash did a great job. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful place to spoil their best friend.

Spawlash is not only a great facility run by an extremely professional, helpful staff, but they support local rescues (like the Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue, for starters!) and are very involved in the community! This place is impressive; so are the people you’ll find when you get there!
