Covington Ridge

Alright, so I walked the apartment with my brothers (Caleb K. and (Tentant, Josh K.)) There was dents on all appliances and rips in the carpet and a ton of different little things here and there that were wrong, not to mention the stank of mold or just old laundry kind of smell. Now they are trying to CHARGE him on TOP of holding the deposit put down on the unit. I myself have rented many apartments and was never treated nearly as poor as they are treating him. Minor wear is expected with normal living but my brother made a deal out of making sure the apartment was just how it was moving in and I also was there for the move out. There was MOLD in the apartment walls where there had been a leak from the fire sprinkler and the maintenance guy just brushed it off like nothing. BLACK MOLD… Must I say anymore?

I love living here only issue is the parking… seem like i can never find parking near my own building, and the whole visitor parking situation is just ridiculous. Seems like everything else is so well put together except the parking the could REAL IMPROVE on that. Its a waste of money to get a boot in your own home. Whats even worse is that when there is no visitor parking what other option do you have?

Best apartment community in the area!!! I have lived here for a year and just renewed my lease. May not be the cheapest apartment in the area but you definitely get your money’s worth.
All of the management staff is friendly and welcoming. From the time I first walked in the door I never felt like they were giving me a sales pitch. I recently renewed my lease… so before I resigned I decided to shop around. Every complex I went to I felt like they were just giving me sales pitches.
The complex is very safe. The buildings itself are very well lit at night. The parking lots are a little dark but as a young female I’ve never felt uncomfortable living here.
Oscar and Edgar the maintenance staff are top notch. They take care of requests usually same day and get the job done.
I have a one bedroom on the third floor… and I’ll warn you now I am not much of an energy conservationist. I really like the AC! My utility bill in the summer runs about $ 120 and in the winter $ 80. Also the apartments are very quiet. I rarely hear my neighbors.
Overall I would definitely recommend renting here. When the day comes to move it will for sure be bittersweet.

Unfortunately, we are not renewing our lease, as we both work in SE Denver and the daily 45 – 60 minute commute one way is just too much for us.
This is, truly, a great apartment complex. The management is friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to issues. The maintenance staff are knowledgeable and friendly and work hard to resolve issues. Management frequently hosts community gatherings in the main building with free food, so it’s a great time to meet neighbors and I wish more people participated.
Despite plenty of dog waste receptacles and free bags to use, the residents here do have a major issue with cleaning up after their dogs. The lawns are frequently full of dog waste. It’s unfortunate, because those of us who actually love our pets enough to take care of them properly are unable to fully enjoy the huge amount of green space in the complex. I also feel bad for the people who have kids who may want to play in the courtyard. Someone in building C has a larger brown dog that has left some special presents directly on the sidewalk in addition to the grassy area so, really, no area is safe. Watch your step!
Our utility bill has never been above $ 100 for two of us living in a 2 bed/​2 bath apartment on the ground level, but we’re pretty conservative with our energy use (didn’t run a/​c in summer, heat set at 69 while we’re home and awake, 64 when not at home/​asleep).
The noise level is lower than you’d expect in a complex. We can occasionally hear bass from the music next door, or a phone vibrating from the unit above but, other than that, it’s pretty quiet.
The units are spacious, and have a decent amount of storage. The complex also has additional storage units available for an extra monthly cost.
We’ve had a bike stolen that was chained and u-​locked, and relatively hidden, and the complex does have additional security in place now. A patrol car goes through every so often, and there is also an additional security company that comes through after 6pm. The grounds are well lit at night. Shoveling and snow removal happens quickly and frequently. Vehicles without permits are booted quickly after 6pm, which is nice since parking is kind of limited.
Overall, this community has been a pleasant experience.

My husband is getting transferred to Denver from Chicago so we flew in for the day to look at apartments. Probably went through about 15 apartments that day and Covington Ridge made a lasting impression on me. First off, pulling into the parking spot and seeing maintenance out blowing the leaves actually shocked me. It was the only place where I actually saw maintenance working and not just sitting outside. The neighborhood seemed very safe and secure. The grounds looked very well kept. But what made a lasting impression on me was Jill. She was extremely friendly, didn’t make us feel like we were just another number or a bother for just walking in. She didn’t try to rush us and went over everything. She did seem genuine, not like the managers that are nice at first and then as soon as you sign becomes something else. The showroom was really nice and spacious. Jill made sure to go over every aspect of the showroom instead of just waiting by the front door like most of the others did. It seemed like a really great place to live. Unfortunately we took too long to make a decision and the apartments are no longer available. But I do keep checking online to see if any open up. Fingers crossed!

If you like having cigarette smoke in your apartment then this is the place for you. Seems like everyone that smokes here likes to do it in the common areas (stair wells, hallways, right outside YOUR window not their own). People just don’t care. And there are cigarette butts everywhere. Heaven forbid I want to leave my window open at night instead of running my air conditioning. Oh and I can’t run the air because it makes only one room ice cold (the babies room). I can hear the neighbor’s dog bark all day above us. We’ve lived here since 2012 and have lived in 2 different buildings and it just gets worse. I’ve emailed management about the cigarette issue and got no response. So we are breaking our lease. I’m done I’ve given them enough chances. And you have to pay for the community gas and electric (lights, etc) really? They charge an obscene amount for rent and you can’t pay your own electric and gas? Turn the lights off at night i don’t care.

Ahhh Covington Ridge. First off, yes, they do boot your cars. However, ALL residents are given plenty of information on the ins and outs of the rules and the general parking situation here, plus 2 parking permits, so if your car gets booted it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Stop complaining. Secondly, the staff here is great. After living here 2 years I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with everyone who works here… Brad and Dennise are wonderful and the maintenance crew is prompt and reliable.
Unfortunately, there are always some negatives when you live in an apartment complex. Here, the variables would be the other residents. Of course there are occasional problems with noise, as this IS an apartment complex and you are living just a wall away from your neighbors. Like every other place, you can hear other people’s TVs, radios, babies, conversations, etc. Get over it. Dogs are also allowed here so there is a bit of a problem with waste in the lawns. This is something that management can really do nothing about, because its not like people are leaving their names on those perfectly-​coiled piles of excrement that litter the grass. Believe me, if you happen to see someone not picking up after their dog and send in a complaint, they WILL get a notice about it.
All in all, I loved living here, and am kind of sad to be leaving. But, having grown tired of living in an apartment I am moving on to bigger and better things. As a whole, Covington Ridge has been a wonderful place to live, and if I were to do it all over again I’d still choose to live here.

This is a very good place the thing that’s bad is booting and the people is loud above me very few pest’s and a lot of speed bumps a good/​bad thing you need to live here:)!

So the place is nice alright with a hefty price to have vehicle boots removed even parking in the right area, what a shame you cant even visit your family without having a boot clasped to your car in a matter of hours the security company who does it is a cash bucket scam, management seems they have no control over them even when they contract them out! I would not recommend this place to no one ever!!!
