Owned and operated by the Celeste family, whose heritage is deeply rooted in the Mediterranean island of Sicily, Anthony’s II, not to be confused with the Anthony’s Pizza franchises around Colorado, has been providing the Thornton area with the true authentic taste of Italian food for the past 35 years. The extensive menu is full of flavorful homemade dishes to satisfy even the most discerning Italian food lover’s palate.

My family and I have owned Anthony’s II for the past 18 years. My father Angelo purchased the store when my brother Franco and I were in high school. Back then it was just a small delivery and take-​out shop nestled in the 7-​Eleven shopping center at 112th and Colorado. Over the past 8 years as my brother and I have taken a more prominent role in the business and have expanded into a space that is twice the size of our previous location. Additions included a dining room and extended hours for lunch service. We are now a quick service restaurant as well as still providing delivery and take-​out services. We pride ourselves on the fact that we make our pizza dough, pizza sauce, and pasta sauces fresh daily using old family recipes. So come in or order from home and become part of the Anthony’s II family!

I ordered an «18 specialty pizza and got a free cheese pizza on the side. I also ordered their cheese garlic bread. My «18 specialty pizza was 19.49 +tax with garlic cheese bread my total was around 24.39 and worth every penny. My order took some time to get to my table maybe 5 minutes over the norm. They were very busy and it was a monday! My order came warm and was delicious. I do wish they would have served marinara with the garlic bread. I also would like to include that the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be visiting Anthony’s ll again.

It is with great regret that I leave a negative review for this place but maybe management will notice so they actually try to fix things. I always like to support small businesses whenever I can and although not the original family that owned the place, it’s still family owned. The problem I have is with attention to detail and getting the order right. Now, when you’re on your third order in a row that’s incorrect, something major is going wrong. They either add toppings you didn’t order or forget to put the toppings on that you ordered. I mean this is a pizza place and you put toppings on, this is the core part of your job. It takes two seconds to confirm the order before closing the box. As it stands now, when they send an order out, they’re just hoping for the best. That’s just not good enough especially when there’s so many competitors out there.

This has to be the worst Anthony’s in the metro area now!!! It used to be so good when it first opened!!! Now when we call in an order we get put on eternal hold. We finally stopped going there. Decided to try it tonight and they forgot half our order!!! So incredibly disappointed in this place!!!

Really disappointed. Took about 45min to an hr to have my order ready and still no apology. Messed up the order on top of that. Food was delicious but service just wasn’t there.

Ate here at around 2 pm today.
Good food. Not great but it was good for a late dinner. My biggest complaint was that the food is slow coming out. It was almost 40 minutes. I ordered my Mediterranean Pizza with ground garlic, and I really didn’t taste the garlic which was disappointing because I had to pay extra for it.

Great local New York style pizza. Lunch special is great. 2 slices and a drink for 5 bucks. Great food and great service. If you are in the area make sure you support this local business.

I got food poisoning from this restaurant for the second time in a year… I won’t be back. They are obviously not storing or preparing their good in a healthy manner, and I would not recommend anyone to eat here unless you’d like to risk spending the next 12 hours close to a bathroom. Thumbs down and zero stars if that option was available.

Visiting from out of town and heard the food and portions were good so I decide to give it a try. 1st time I got their calzone with 4 toppings. The taste was there but the size for the cost was a bit small. Being told that this was out of the ordinary I decided to try it again. Sadly I feel the same. I realize I can be picky.
My 3rd time was very good. The food is very consistent and if your in the Thornton area a must stop. Customer service is top notch.

My husband and I ate at Anthony’s II on Saturday and were really impressed. He had the meatball sub and I had just a simple pasta with butter and garlic sauce. His sub was awesome. Great bread, meat, and overall taste. My simple pasta was perfect. The interior was clean and the workers were really friendly. We were happy to find out they also deliver to our neighborhood so next time we’ll order a pizza.

I noticed a guy come into the restaurant tonight. His girlfriend must work at the restaurant. He sat down and had cheese bread and chicken wings brought out to him. We ordered and paid from our meals. He was loud on his cell phone. The customers around saw what was going on. They had to wait for their food too. And yes they paid for their food too. We came way before this guy. Hmmm…

I’ve never had a bad experience at Anthony’s II. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love the choice of toppings. Cream cheese on a pizza… what?! It is delish! This is where we go when we want calzones for sure. I’d rather give a small local business my money than the usual chain restaurant.

Ordered spaghetti with marinara which is supposed to come with a side salad and garlic bread. When I went to pick up my order, I was handed a fairly small bag. When I asked if that was everything, they confidently said yes. Thank goodness I checked the bag when I got in the car instead of waiting until I got home because sure enough, the bread and salad were missing. I walked back in to inform them of this and it took TEN MINUTES to bring out a simple side salad and bread. So clearly they never had it prepared for my order. Moral of the story? They could work on their service.
As for the food, the meatballs are pretty good, but the marinara leaves A LOT to be desired. Tastes like something served in an elementary school cafeteria. No flavor, no umph, no authentic Italian taste. I must say I was disappointed after craving some good pasta all day. My reco? Your wallet and taste buds would be better served by driving a few extra minutes to Fazoli’s. unfortunate but true.

Update again– we gave it another chance. I am not sure why but everything tastes different than it did when we were ordering it more often over a year ago. The pizza was closer to what I remember, we tried the Pizza Bianca and the Super Cheese. The crust was thin and crispy and good. The hot wings were cooked correctly and had a good tasting sauce, but the alfredo was still not what it used to be.
They do have good slices and specials throughout the week, Definitely a good place to stop by and check out the game while grabbing a beer and slice.

Tried again and decided I am just over it completely. The alfredo had a strange taste and has lost it’s place as the best alfredo this side of town, in my opinion. It just isn’t good anymore. Their cheese pizza is really good still, but I don’t know that I would order just for that. I am bummed that my old faithful favorite is dead to me, but it just has to be, the disappointment is too much to handle (and pay for).

We order carry out from here once in a while; i don’t like paying delivery charges, and honestly, it’s usually faster if I just drive over to pick up dinner since they’re in my neighborhood.
We are big fans of their baked ziti but a house divided on their pizza. The crust is a win; it’s not true New York style, but it’s close. Two members of the family feel their sauce is too sweet, two of us love it.
They’re definitely worth a try!

Every time I go here, consistently fantastic food! The only minor complaint is the last time of several times we have went, the wait for our pizza was excessive but as always, worth it. You can’t go wrong with the lunch special! Love this place!!!
