Established in 1980.

W.G. Hamil LLC is a 4^th generation family owned and operated business based in Thomasville, specializing in pecans and watermelons. The beginning of the company, spans back to the 1930’s where it was started by Greg Hamil’s grandfather, J.W. Renfroe in Troy, Alabama. In 1974 Renfroe passed away and the business was taken over by J.W. Renfroe, Jr. In 1980, Greg and J. W. Renfroe, Jr. established a pecan buying branch office at the state farmer’s market in Thomasville, Georgia. From that point on, watermelons where incorporated into the mix of operations. The Thomasville branch was run under the name of J.W. Renfroe Pecan Co. until 2007 when Greg made the decision to leave Renfroe and purchase his interest in the Thomasville location, thus began W.G. Hamil, LLC. Since its creation in 2007 the business has seen tremendous growth, with several additions to our pecan operation, now located at 289 Commercial Drive; including a retail store providing top quality pecans and gourmet gifts.
