Rainbow Car Care

I bring all three of our vehicles here for oil changes, mainly because I use Mobil one synthetic, and they have it. The service is good and I’ve never had a problem. I never get the cars washed, because i don’t trust the equipment. However the other day against my better judgement, I availed of the free car wash that came with my oil change, and boy was I sorry.
I didn’t notice until I made a stop a little further down the road, but the rear bumper on my Lexus 430sc had been popped off on one side. I returned to Rainbow to show them, and that’s when the problems began.
On arrival I asked to see a manager, and after a few minutes a gentleman came over, appeared to examine the damage, and than told me he wasn’t a manager, and I would have to go over to the lube shop.
Well this didn’t help my mood, but I did go over to the lube shop where I waited for about ten minutes before a manager came to look at my car.
He was not helpful. Instead he interrogated me about my cars history, and whether it had ever been in a wreck. I felt it necessary to inform him that there were no signs or other means of information stating they did not wash cars that had been previously damaged.
He was supposed to look at a video and call me back within a stated number of hours, which he did not.
I eventually had to go back and see one of the owners, who made the decision the following day, to pay for the repairs to my car.
I’m to go to a body shop of their choosing so even though this review is lengthy, it is not complete.
Hopefully my car will be repaired to an appropriate standard.

This place is amazing! Great service at a great price and very friendly employees! I always bring my Sorento here for a good, thorough cleaning (inside and out) and they never fail to impress!

I came here with a friend to wash her vehicle. They provide several services: car Wash, detail center, express oil & lube, and certified vehicle inspection. Drop your vehicle, pick a wash package, pay inside, and hold onto the ticket.
They have 6 different wash packages.
1. Full service — $ 14.99– Vacuum Interior, Wash Exterior, and Towel Dry Exterior, Wipe Dash, Doors, and Console, and Wipe Door Jambs
2. Woodlands Special-​$ 17.99– Full Service Car Wash +Tri-​Color Clear Coat Conditioner and Sealer, Underbody Rust Inhibitor, and Fragrance.
3. Texas Special-​$ 21.99-Woodlands Special Car Wash + Tire Dressing, and Wheel Brite.
4. Hand Wash-​$ 34.99 (most cars, trucks and small SUVs)$ 44.99 (must dually trucks and full size SUVs)-Vacuum Interior, Delicately wash and dry exterior by hand, Clean Windows, Wipe Dash, Doors and Console, Wipe Door Jambs, Tire Dressing, and Fragrance.
5. Exterior Express Wash-​$ 8.99-Wash Exterior via TunnelAir and Towel Dry Exterior
6. Plastic and Rubber Conditioning Treatment-​$ 19.99– Clean and restore exterior plastic components and door seals.
Additional $ 5.00 to use RainX on windows.
We got the Texas Special without RainX. And they missed a couple of spots on the window. But overall it was okay.

One of the best quick lubes in all of Houston! Most of the Garages, Dealers and Quick Lubes in town are selling private label oil and not telling their customers that they are doing it. Rainbow uses Castrol and you KNOW for sure that Castrol is what you are getting!!! Watch out for other Quick Lubes that pull the wool over on you. Car wash is awesome also. I love this place.

Extremely long wait. A simple car wash took 50 min. if you want it fast don’t use this place. Once they have your car your trapped until they get finished with it. they do a good job but the wait ruins the experience. Seems very understaffed.

They will do a nice job on your car. Occasionally you will find imperfections, but overall they work hard to satisfy their customers.
One thing to note when you come here. .. You should not be in a rush. It will take a good 30 – 45 minutes to finish your car depending on what service you requested.
I have been going to Rainbow for about 4 years now, it is definitely one of the better car washes in the area but I recommend that you purchase the deluxe package to ensure «close» to perfection on your interior and exterior cleaning.
I gave them a three for solid performance, but they definitely could improve with consistency (some employee clean better than others) and speed.

Really great work-​could not believe how clean my car looked afterward. However, it did take 4.5 hrs when I was told 1.5hrs. Little off there, ya think? Would come back but not as often, ain’t no body got time for that! Also they never offered a coupon or anything for the long wait even after I spent $ 200 there.

I have been coming here for over 14 years and the car wash service is getting worse and worse. The service station in the back is still excellent but I paid for the full package twice and each time they failed to do more then the basic wash. I even pointed out the areas and they still did a half way done job. I am very disappointed because it took nearly two hours to get at best a basic car wash.

Did a fantastic job of scrubbing the cow smell and dirt out of Charlie’s car.
His car was disgusting.
Now the car looks brand new on the inside– the outside could not be saved due to the layers of pollen that have been falling from the sky. Not their fault.
Took them less than two hours to scrub that little Toyota, and for half of what Superior Tomball Car Wash off of 249 would have charged us.
Getting to this little joint is awful because of the intersection of Budde and Sawdust. Traffic backs up from the light and blocks the entrance, and you end up parked in the way of cars wanting to be in the turn lane!

Well, that was fast. Not something Iusually like to say, but at a car wash, yes. Very much yes.
Went for the «Woodlands Special» at $ 17.99, which covered much needed interior vacuum and the works (minus tires) exterior wise. Pulled up to the vacuums, walked inside and paid, grabbed some popcorn and by the time I got to the end of the hallway my car was already finishing up its time in the car wash.
I was a little bummed that they didn’t get some of the black gunk off the body of the car just behind the wheel base (it’s not leaking oil but it is possible to get off).
After watching them wipe down the interior, I was extremely anxious to see what $ 18 bought me. I had gone on a long (epic) roadtrip in the fall with my boyfriend and, though I’d washed her outside, she was as filthy as we were after 4 weeks on the road inside. And I shed. A lot. Basically my car was a Sasquatch that had rolled around in the trash. Yuck.
I was impressed with their attention to detail on the interior. Sure, I’d need a full (expensive) detailing to get my car good enough to sell, but for $ 18, the interior looked great. Some blue (wax?) drippings were left on the door. It was packed on a Friday at 3 pm so I’m not sure if they were in a rush or couldn’t see it due to blindingly bright sun reflecting off white paint.
Either way, they were professional and polite and met my expectations for the price point. I’ll be back

They must have spent 20 minutes going over and again, inside and outside of my SUV! I will definitely be taking my other car back to this place! Best value for the money!

I am very very happy with how my car was cleaned! I drive a minivan that is always full of messy kids! It is just impossible for me to keep it clean. Seats, carpet, doors, ceiling — you name it, the surface had some kind of schmutz on it! When the guys at Rainbow Carwash gave it back to me, I felt like I was picking it up from the dealership! My kids were given very strict instructions for what NOT to do in mommy’s van (eat, drink, bring snacks, leave your things…) do NOT touch anything! Great Job y’all, and thanks for giving me pride in my ride again!

I’ve come in several times for the oil change and car wash special for $ 35.95 and many times for just a wash and detail. I upgraded to the Texas wash for $ 9 and a rain-​x coating for $ 5. I’ve always thought they did a decent job. I will usually see spots they’ve missed on cleaning. However, for the prices their work is good.

My car has never benign this clean! Great service. Mr Arturo did an excellent detailed job.

I really love the quality of the service. The washers do an excellent job. However, they are not clear at all about how the car wash works. I had never been to a full service car wash before and none of the employees explained how the process worked. I took my car there on two occasions and got a different car wash both times. Both times I ended up waiting long past the time my car was finished, the first time because I didn’t know how they demonstrated a customer’s car was finished, and the second time, because my car was parked under a carport, blocked by other larger cars, so I didn’t see that it was finished. The frustration of waiting 30+ minutes unnecessarily has prompted me to look for other car washes.

I’ve been taking my car here for years and I love the service! The greeters are always cheerful and super nice. The mechanics in the service center are very helpful and really help me keep my car running well without taking advantage of me. The car wash is the best part because they do such a great job with the details. No more dog fur! The waiting areas are clean and there’s complimentary coffee! I have never had a bad experience here.

Took my car there to get an oil change and a car wash unfortunately they don’t know how to wash a car and had to take it back a second time for no charge for them to redo my car. Sadly it was horrible the second time will never go back.

Great car wash. I usually just get the basic wash for $ 12.99 because it’s not necessary to pay more for a great wash! I got the extreme interior clean once & that was awesome too. They always do a good job, even when it’s mega busy!

My first car wash review! Well, it appears no one washes thier own car in the driveway as I have done many years and my big tire xterra needed some love, so I went to Rainbow Car Wash for the $ 99 wash, wax and total clean package. WOW-​4 weeks later my dashboard and anything plastic, shines like the morning sun. I could never personally clean my car at this level-​best job ever. There was no dirty spots or even a smudge anywhere, Now, one achieves the value of what you pay for-​its nearly $ 20 for the basic wash FYI. (my car was buff waxed)
It took about 90 minutes to complete my wax job and my car looked almost brand new, with the music on loud, driving down 1 – 45, nothing better than crusing in a clean car! I would go back to Rainbow anytime!

I have been to a few car washes in the Houston area over the last few weeks, and RCW is the first one that left me 100% satisfied. They were quite busy when I arrived, yet the got me through quickly without sacrificing service.
I will be coming back here for the foreseeable future.
