very comfortable eatery… The breakfast is a good portion and variety to choose from is fantastic. They even cater to the individuals that like lunch during breakfast. For in the middle of the week and morning(9:30) it has only four tables open out of approximately 15. I love this place as everyone is extremely friendly and food is yummy — I will be coming back and letting the fam know to stop in for good food.

Asked if they could bake a cake within 24 hrs, and over heard baker respond with«hell no.» Will not be going back here again. –5 stars

OK to be fair, we showed up on the first day they were opening after a 10 day vacation. I think maybe they should have stayed closed an extra day to get back up to 100%, but I’m not a business owner and have no idea how difficult that is. From a consumer standpoint though, the options were severely limited on what they could offer because of the absence. After we were informed that our first few choices off the menu were not available, we finally settled on the breakfast hash and the Mexican omelet. Paid, filled our coffee cups, and sat down. They came out a couple minutes later and explained they didn’t have the ingredients(chorizo) for the omelet, and offered a replacement meat(it was nice of them to come and explain at least). The food was good, hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and cooked all the way through, there was a ton of veggies and sausage in the omelet. The toast was toasted… not much to say about toast. The hash is not made in house, but the hubs will eat hash from a can, so there were no complaints from him. «It was ok» he says. The portions were good, we definitely didn’t leave hungry. Good food, we might be back when they have had time to restock to try something else on the menu. Definitely got the«just woke up and rolled into work» vibe from the staff though, I’m guessing on account of the vacation so I don’t think it was an accurate representation of the service.

Decent place and friendly atmosphere, but the food was lacking. I’ll probably come back for the bakery.

Good breakfast. We ordered our food togo and although the wait time was longer than we were originally quoted, I would still go back again.

I’ve ordered cakes from here on several different occasions for clients’ birthdays. The cakes are extremely moist and delicious. I would highly recommend ordering a cake from here if you are in the Woodlands area. They tend to get busy so it’s best to call and order at least a week in advance. I haven’t had a chance to try the baked goods they have ready and on display but I’m sure they are good as well.

AWESOME food and AMAZING desserts you’ll have to try! You will not find pastries better than this and their Brownie Bites are particularly wonderful!

They use real eggs and offer a large variety of breads and pastries. Ordered two eggs, rye toast, bacon and a latte for $ 15. Also ordered a lemon scone which was very good. Very helpful staff along with clean surroundings. I would come back.

Just finished eating here for the first time. Service was great. Nice, friendly atmosphere. Coffee is amazing. Breakfast was underwhelming. I paid $ 25 for two blah meals but got two large coffees.(Café Latte w/caramel)(Carb watcher breakfast) I would definitely eat here again but will try something else from the menu.

The service here was really good and the staff very friendly. The food was somewhere between decent and good. I had their regular coffee — not so good. They are also a little pricey for the overall quality of what you get.

So today was my first visit and I only stopped by for dessert but next time I’ll have to come earlier for breakfast, although they serve breakfast all day, or lunch they are reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly. I had the white chocolate raspberry cupcake and it was soooo good. I didn’t eat it right away cause it was in the cold case and I prefer them room temp. It has a raspberry filling that was not too creamy and not too sweet. I’ll def be back.

I’m not sure why this place gets so many great reviews but perhaps I didn’t get the right meal. Their bakery section did look mouth watering but we didn’t try anything. We went there for breakfast and I got the veggie omelet with hash browns and sourdough toast. The two stars are for the sourdough toast; it was delicious and had lots of butter. But the veggies were undercooked and the egg had no flavor. There wasn’t any offer for salsa or hot sauce. The hash browns were soft(I prefer crispy). And on top of all that I ordered their decaf coffee, which was good, but they didn’t even have fresh cream or milk for the coffee. Seriously?! At a café? My husband got the chicken fried steak and he said it was okay. The employees behind the counter were not very friendly and it took an unreasonable amount of time for our food to come out. Anyway needless to say we won’t be back. I found a place that has a delicious veggie omelet — Eden Café — so there will be no need to return!

Too many tables crammed together inside. Felt very claustrophobic. Food was ok. Very disappointed in our stale cinnamon roll. Had eggs Benedict, hubby had french toast(soggy), kids had pancakes and turkey sandwich. Coffee was great. Cupcakes were good. Might try again for lunch but wouldn’t go out of my way for breakfast.

We called ahead to ask for a table for 10 and arrived 10 minutes later to find it ready. It’s a small place but nice. Friendly staff and good food.

The food was great but the women behind the counter was incredible rude. I felt as though I was bothering her by forcing her to take my order. I will not be back

The place is buzzing every time I have stopped in. Their hours kill me because I want them to be open at 7am instead of 8am. We are early risers so it’s difficult to wait till 8am for breakfast. We can only vouch for the cupcakes. We have tried four different flavors and all of them have a filling. I think the best has been the Carrot Cake. They aren’t boutique cupcakes but they are very delicious. Everyone has been friendly. If they opened earlier we would be all over their breakfast. It looks amazing.

Forest Café is hit and miss depending on what you get. Lunches are good and taste like you’re eating at home. Prices are average for lunch in the area. I don’t have much to say about the food, because it’s fine, but there’s nothing worthy of any particular note. If you work nearby, it would be a good place to go if you just want to get out of the office but don’t really care what you eat. As for the bakery side, some things are great. I bought a pecan pie here that took an intervention to keep me from eating the whole thing in one sitting. Other things are pretty bad; the chocolate chip cookies were perhaps a bit stale, neither crispy nor chewy(they kind of just… broke, like plaster), and although they had plenty of chocolate, the cookie itself was nearly flavorless. The cupcakes were in the middle. Great icing or ganache, average cake underneath. In the end, Forest Café is pleasant enough while you’re there, but there’s not really anything to bring me back regularly.
