I am glad to have a new place to enjoy a night of Salsa dancing, especially one for those who don’t want to deal with the hustle and bustle of Downtown or Midtown. Cielo is located in the Spring/Woodlands area so it is a convenient location for anyone on the northside of Houston. It has a sizable dance floor which allows you to move around without constantly stepping on the toes of your fellow dancers. Saturday night is Latin night, which, like most other clubs, is kicked off with a free class. What I liked about the classes here is that they actually break you up into two groups, beginner and intermediate, so that those who have a little more experience with salsa aren’t stuck learning basic salsa steps. The DJ kept the music flowing with a good mix of salsa, merengue, bachata and reggaeton. There is also space upstairs for those that want to sit or people watch. Several TVs around the bar area also provide additional entertainment. Definitely worth checking out.

Great place to go and just dance your a** off. Drinks were made on point. The DJ played an amazing array salsa, bachata, and merengue. This is a downtown club but close to home. Drink prices are affordable. Crowd is awesome. All around my crowd and I just had a blast. Keep up the great work fellas.

My salsa dance partner and I have gone a couple times, we were there one of the first days it was open. The dance floor was very sticky, hard to do spins, the wine was served in a very small juice glass, they said they didn’t have wineglasses yet. We were still okay with it, but when the smoke machine started up, everyone started choking. It’s not a teenage club on salsa night, folks! One of my neighbors who was associated with this club advertised it on our Neighborhood Village blog, so I gave him my opinion. He said he’d speak to the owner, but the next time we went, the floor was still sticky, the wine was $ 9 a glass and still served in little teeny tiny wine glasses. We belong to a huge group of dancers, we all feel the same about the floor. All you have to do is order a little can of dance ‘dust’ and sprinkle it on the floor and fix it. These are problems that can be fixed, but in the meantime, most of us will be heading to Tsujiki or Chaynes to get our salsa fix.

Came here about a month and a half ago. The club played reggaeton all night long. I listen to that too but after awhile it gets old. I thought this was a latin club and there’s more music than reggaeton to just choose from. Mixed crowd atmosphere but more of an older crowd. Good spot to hit up to start your night up.

According to the hours on Unilocal they are open 11am to 2am on Wednesdays. Showed up at 4:50pm and they are closed. Almost looks abandoned, but I see reviews from 10 days ago?

I was there for the first time EVER on Friday(2÷5÷16) with my girlfriends, at first we were having a good time, but we really were not listening to a lot of salsa, we just kept listening to A LOT of regeton which I don’t mind listening to but there’s a limit to a certain kind of music you can listen to all night, especially in a LATIN CLUBl! There’s such a huge variety of latin music out there from different latin countries. I believe the dj needs to get some lessons from the REAL pros, especially when you ask, not once, but twice if he could play a salsa song, the first time he said ok, so we waited and waited, but time just kept slipping away and he still kept playing the same music and never played the song I requested, then I went to him and asked again, this time he said, «I can’t right now, I’m playing for the young crowd» WTF was that about? I am a paying customer just like everyone else that was there(young and old). As a matter of fact, the majority of the customers there were over 40, only a few young ppl were dancing, everyone else were just sitting, chit chatting, not dancing. If I go to a LATIN club, I expect to listen to a huge variety of latin music and I better be dancing(especially salsa), I’m COLOMBIAN and damn proud of it! The owner was very nice, tried to make it up to us, but I never got to listen to the song I requested, SMH. Sorry, but my friends and I will NOT be returning to this location and I WILL spread the word, dj was rude.

Ok, I was a little skeptical to go out in the woodlands since all I know is the midtown area of Houston. This place surprised the pants off me! It’s nestled in the woodlands area and honestly I did not think it would be too grand. We got there and from the get go you could feel it was going to be a great night. The door girl/staff is great and very courteous! We went directly to the bar and ordered shots– great bartender and quick service, not to mention the shots were like doubles! I’ve been back 3 times since then! Definitely a new favorite in the woodlands and my new go-to spot to turn up Thanks for the great VIP-like service with postgrad affordable prices, Cielo!

Very cool spot, the live band Saturday night was great did a mix of his music and other hits and the dj as well was awesome… what I love about Houston the MIX of people we have so there was all the latin types of music and even moments of some hiphop/pop and for me I listen to everything sooo I will go from classical to rock to jazz to latin to EDM to anything… the drinks were good. Dance floor is nice. Upstairs and even outside is nice and closed off so when you go outside the club on the deck its a nice wall and some green plants and tables and lights to sit and chill(or smoke for those smokers who need a smoke break).

Those two people going around and posting negative reviews are totally wrong. First off for every time I go there I have never seen any drug usuage. At the door every person walking in their ID gets checked. Wednesday night is more of a 18+ crowd so for that person that goes on Wednesday and complains about the teenagers why don’t you go on a day where it’s for your age! I have been there on Wednesday night and never once seen glasses broken and all that false information given in those reviews! This place is amazing the staff and service is great. Pricing is good. The music caters to everyone. You don’t have to go downtown now to have party anymore! Cielo is where you have to be!
