The Corkscrew Winery

I won’t be going to the Corkscrew in Ocala or the villages ever again. The owner is shown in this video vandalizing a car of a person who has a business near his. He had been doing this for months and she got smart and put a hidden camera on him. I wouldn’t patronize a place like this. You had a nice thing going for you. A trendy wine shop and you have to go and do petty things like this? Wow! You shouldn’t have a business. That’s just sick. This will be on the news too so look out for it. Went there on a Saturday with my Mother and Husband about 3:30. The place had a nice atmosphere and was pretty quiet with a small group of people sitting at the bar.
Ordered the Antipasti and it was very good. Went well with the wines. I tried the Pinot Grigio and the Peach Moscato. Both were amazing! Loved it so much we bought a bottle of the Moscato which the bartender bottled right in front of us. My husband ordered the IPA and said it was really great as well.
I was a little upset that I didn’t realize that you had to book a time for the winemaking. It would have been a very fun thing to do, from what I saw on the reviews, but I hope to go back and try it. (We may have to visit Ocala to make beer too)
Overall it was a nice place to go with tasty items to try. We don’t live very close by but if we did we would probably be regulars on weekends.

Loved the winemaking class. Tony and Joe were excellent teachers/​winemakers. I would highly recommend this event. You can go alone or with a group. Either way you will have a wonderful time. It was truly a fun and interesting experience. Do it!

Corkscrew in The Villages keeps getting better. Great wine and beer to drink by the glass or flight. And good cheese plates and veggie/​cheese/​meat skewers. Liz in The Villages location is wonderful!
Plus you can make wine at both locations (Ocala & The Villages) and beer can be made at the Ocala location.

My wife got a wine making class for her birthday. It was a blast. It was not only fun, but very informative. The staff, including Joe, the owner/​instructor, and Tony, the bartender, was very friendly and knowledgeable. This would be a great place to take out of town guests.

Went to the Corkscrew in The Villages for Valentine’s Day… stomped on strawberries and tried their many flavors. The staff was very nice and helpful the décor was unique. In fact it has inspired me to do some in my home. Highly recommend this location.. For any kind of night!

You must try it! Really good selection of both beer & wine. You can even make your own wine for special occasions.
