Evergreen Buffet & Grill

Went to the Evergreen Buffet the week of the 14^th and had 5 people and 2 small children and paid with credit card when we got home found out they had charged us 76.00 instead of the regular 38.00 which I was expecting to pay. We went back to see what they had to say and they said that it was a special price because it was Valentine’s day. It wasn’t posted anyplace and what a surprise. We have been there quite a few times but they will never see us again. So if they want to take advantage of people I can’t support they kind of thing as I am retired and can’t afford to pay double for a so so meal. So when you go there make sure of the prices before you eat and check your bill before you pay. Going again noooooooo thanks

Ok, went here because I was in the area and starving! It was around 7:30pm and had not eaten since 12pm. This placed looked like a ghost town! There were only one or two other patrons. Well like I said, I was starving and this was the only place that was not crowded so I took a chance. I did not enjoy anything other than the crab legs that I paid x-​tra for to have included in the buffet; and almost canceled the order since they took too long to bring them out. They had to cook them right there and then since they don’t have them out in the buffet. Hunger took over my better judgement, but this place is scratched off my list. It’s sad to see a business not make it potentially, at least if is always that empty during prime dining time.

No smiles or feelings of glad you came from the cashier (manager)! Terrible service for take out! Took over 10 minutes for just brown rice! Had to ask for a refund before they would bring it.

Terrible! There are only about 4 rows of food and 1 was deserts, 1 was coleslaw, potatoes salad and other non Chinese dishes. They other 2 had poor quality Chinese food.
The Krab and mozzarella looks scary. The roast looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since the restaurant opened. The veggies did not look fresh nor did the sushi. The Krab ragoon was probably 95% cream cheese 5% artificial crab. The best thing I had was the fried sugar donuts. Yes I will admit we went at 7p on a Sunday but I have seen a lot of other buffets that were FAR better. This place was just sad.

Great Chinese/​Japanese fusion buffet. I love the raw Hibachi feature of this place. Load up your plate with as much raw shrimp, chicken, beef, pork as you can eat. Load the other plate with raw zucchini, noodles, onion, mushroom, sprouts and other veggies… ring the bell, and tell the guy behind the grill what sauces you want. You can choose teriyaki, garlic sauce, soy, ginger or Mongolian. You can also have him mix sauces and add chili pepper and extra garlic for an extra kick! The chef then cooks it all up right in front of you on the Hibachi. Ummmmmm! Everything was fresh and well kept by the staff who were constantly rotating the food and keeping everything neat. I had two plates of Hibachi… Cause I could!
The sushi was not so appetizing. There wasn’t a lot to chose from and the pieces were small or seemed to be sitting too long. It was busy when I was there and I guess they could not keep up with the sushi demand that night.
The regular Chinese buffet food was delicious and plentiful. I loaded up on Hibachi, so I didn’t take much else, but the kids said it was all very yummy! I think it was like $ 14 per person, which is an average price for a buffet of that style.
I would be happy to return again! To the owner: I would maybe have the Spanish cook behind the Hibachi wear an apron and a chef hat or something-​He had jeans and an orange spandex soccer shirt on. The two other Spanish guys minding the buffet also needed to have an apron on instead of their soccer jerseys and jeans. –Just did not look professional for the restaurant. Those workers did a good job, I just think you need to put them in appropriate attire.

How can a buffet go from super good to super bad. We were here a few weeks ago and the food was so good and fresh. We went again on Tuesday 12÷9÷14. The food was not fresh. Wife had sushi and 5 minutes later it went right through her. We both ate from the buffet and the food was not hot and was sitting around for a while. We both had ill affects when we got home. Never again will we return to this place.

Best Chinese buffet ever!!! Always fresh food and owner is so nice and friendly. Nice variety of dishes in a casual atmosphere.

Strange how there are more than one Evergreen Grills listed at the same address here on Unilocal.I reviewed this one on the other listing. Either the two people who posted reviews here before me are good friends with the owners or we just happened to go on a bad day. It was NOT very good — most of the food I tasted was low-​quality and not very warm. The puddings on the dessert bar appeared dried out around the edges like they had been sitting out all day. (We went in the afternoon at around 3 PM.) Like I said, perhaps they were having an off day. Probably won’t go back, however.

I am a professional chef (retired) and am very critical of restaurants so I rarely rate them publicly.
Now that we are retired my wife and I eat in a lot of restaurants and occasionally we come across an exception eatery worth comment.
The food here is very well prepared and replenished often so is hot and fresh. The variety is exceptional for a buffet and the service is more like a full service restaurant. The employees are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I’m not big on buffets, but this is like no other! This is a nice, clean restaurant where you still receive personal service with friendly and helpful staff. The food was fresh and hot, there is a sushi bar and hibachi bar that was well stocked. The price was reasonable also for the amount and quality of the food. We will DEFINATELY be back for more!
