History

Established in 1850.

The Oregonian is the oldest continuously published newspaper on the U.S. west coast.

William Conner II, the current dealer, first began working in newspaper distribution in 1982, at the age of 8, delivering papers from his bicycle before school each day. He was the last carrier under the age of 18 hired at The Dalles Oregonian. He delivered all through his child and teenage years.

William Conner II purchased the dealership in 2011. The Dalles Oregonian expanded delivery of the Oregonian into Klickitat County in August 2013, and expanded into delivery of the USA Today, the nation’s only national newspaper, in both Oregon and Washington in September 2013.
