Lines of Designs is a retail women’s shop (in the front half) carrying a variety of brands, many made in the USA. But what makes this shop a rarity is the back half! We create and sew our own designs under the Lines of Designs label. The best part for you is if you try on our designs and happen to be between sizes, the pattern can be tweaked for you! Now isn’t that great customer service?!

Now let’s get those taste buds in action. We hold wine tastings and sell wines from a variety of local, made in the Columbia River Gorge wineries. These wines are only available here or at the wineries themselves.

Experience a bit of the Columbia River Gorge and also a step back in time when clothes were made to fit!

History

Established in 2003.

In 2008 I expanded and moved into my present location, the historic Lemke Building. Here is a great story for you history buffs! This building was built in 1910 and served as a saloon with a brothel upstairs. But the really intriguing part is that the present building was built on top of the earlier building which was destroyed by one of the many fires that went through The Dalles in the late 1800’s. In the basement you will see the TOPS of the old windows that used to be lined up on both sides of the building. That makes us 6 – 8 feet above what used to be street level! Isn’t that cool?! So when you stop in The Dalles, ask to see the basement and the old windows.
