Best breakfast tacos in the area hands down. For the price and quality of food they cannot be beat. Brisket, chorizo egg and cheese with a home made from scratch horchata.

I was craving tacos and this place came into my search. Great hole in the wall. I got 2 street tacos, which were great! My kids got the fajita plate and the burrito plate and we got the sampler appetizer platter. Everything was great! It’s very tiny. Less than 10 tables. I’m here at 5 pm on a Wednesday, so there’s only 2 other tables here. Definitely try this place out! I will most definitely be here when I’m in the area!

Great food! I was a little apprehensive about eating here because the place was dead and it really is a hole in the wall but food turned out to be amazing. I wish they improve the interior a bit but overall a very nice experience.

Best breakfast tacos! Potato, chorizo, egg and cheese! Can’t go wrong here! The construction near the building is very annoying and makes it difficult to get to but don’t let it deter you from trying them out.

Ever sense moving to the DFW I’ve yearned for real Mexican food. Not Tex-Mex, not fusion tacos with flavored aiolis and exotic ingredients, but authentic, comforting Mexican food that tastes like it came from my grandma’s kitchen. Emelia’s is everything I’ve been wanting and more. I ordered a couple fish tacos and a shrimp taco. The corn tortillas were hands down the best I’ve had in Texas. Soft, warm, and perfectly sturdy for all the filings. The shrimp and fish were made crispy on the flattop and had the greatest texture because of it. Each bite took me back to when I was a kid eating tacos with my grandparents in Mexico. If you’re needing a break from the overtly saucy and cheese laden tex mex dishes then you must try Emelia’s.

My wife was dubious when we walked in. What hole was this? But I told her, 100++ Unilocal reviews with 4.5-star average don’t lie. Yup, Unilocal done me good. As usual. This place… was guuuuuuuud! Super simple, narrow building with old white ceiling tiles, some stained. Order at the counter. Yasmin took good care of us. I had to try multiple street tacos, it being our first time. So I had the chicken, asada(steak), brisket, and pork(not called carnitas, but… something else, started with a P). We got a side of beans and rice, and my wife got the brisket tacos meal(tacos + beans and rice). Dude… the beans and rice are awesome. The side was too much, on top of 4 street tacos and her meal, but I had trouble not cleaning the plate. Best beans and rice… maybe ever. Got the chips and salsa on the side, too. Seriously good. And look like regular refried beans and rice — nothing exotic! I don’t know why they were so much better and I don’t want to know. Great chips, which were used to make many nachos with the beans n rice. Greatness. NOTE! Red salsa not too spicy, green salsa spiiiiiiceeeey! The green didn’t look spicy, but hot damn… it was. Tacos. Yum. Hell yeah. Ranking: 1) pork — easily the best, melt in your mouth, tender and delicious and flavorful 2) brisket — a good representation of this most important genre of taco, this was great 3) chicken — good, but not as good as it should have been; needed more flavor, and could have been more moist 4) steak — dry and not very impressive, period If I had just ordered pork or brisket, this would probably be a 5-star review. But the others could use a little work. Part of the reason behind that was the food arrived almost IMMEDIATELY. This was great, in general, but implied some food was prepared in bulk ahead of time. The asada clearly suffered for it.(Probably the chicken, too.) Still, we all really enjoyed our meals and will be back again SOON! Great — and I mean great — bang for buck, good service, amazing rice n beans, and killer pork and brisket tacos. I’m there, dude. I see why this place has so many fans. Sign me up!

They have the best street tacos I always get the brisket tacos and recently I have tried there Minichimi and those things are amazing they have so much flavor packed into a multiple bites melted cheese brisket flaky crunchy crust. Their brisket street tacos are really good I love that the brisket is moist and always have good flavors. The only issue with this location is where there is alot of construction so you have to come by during off peak hours because if you come by peak hours you would get stuck in traffic. But this will still stay on my list for taco days.

Great little Tex-Mex spot(hole in the wall). I have so many favorites here it’s hard to know where to start. Breakfast — great breakfast tacos, egg with bacon, chorizo, sausage or potatoes. If you a really hungry try the California burrito, yum — Steak, egg, avocado and other goodies . For lunch — the street tacos always hit the spot. Dinner — I always go with the burrito dinner I have eaten a lot more off this menu, and everything has been great.

Although it’s not really listed on their menu, I made a special request here for some veggie tacos since I hadn’t had authentic street tacos in ages. That green chile sauce and fresh guacamole was calling my name. I don’t think they get requests like this much, but I’m so glad I asked, because the owner/chef put together the most amazing vegan breakfast tacos for me(even though it was late in the afternoon). These tacos of epic proportions had fresh cooked potatoes, pico, cilantro, and onion. I asked for extra green sauce, chips and guac. Everything was great and just what I was craving. So grateful for the extra effort; I’ll definitely be back to give this little restaurant more business.

Being from El Paso, Texas, I’m very skeptical of mextex restaurants. This spot was an exception. I had the Asada Street Tacos. It was so good. Reminded me of home. Would come here again!

Very tasty tacos! I brought some students from TN who’s closest idea of Mexican food is Taco Bell. They thought it was a bit sketchy looking on entry, but I convinced them that based on other reviews it was worth the trip. I had a few of the street tacos, two carnitas, one brisket, and one lengua. The kids couldn’t believe I ordered tongue, but after giving them a taste they relented their disgusted attitude. I only have four stars because the combo app was a bit lackluster. It tasted good but the nachos with the combo where a little basic. It all tasted fine, just would have preferred something a bit better. In town for at least one more day, the question is how often I stop by here again before I leave.

Emelia’s Tex-Mex — 3751MAIN St. Street Taco’s — What is a «Calle Del Taco» These are the smaller, more agile tacos that are adapted to life on the street and make up for their small size with greater flavor and numbers. I ordered: 3 — Barbacoas’ «Carne en La Barbacoa(Barbecued Meat)» There isn’t enough charcoal to cook the meat on the barbecue, so it is cooked in the oven /grilled. 3 — Lengua’s «Carne De Lengua(Beef Tongue)» This is a prime choice of meat, has a texture and flavor of it’s own. I gave it a 3 — Star, because of the«Tortillas De Maíz(Corn Tortillas’)» They are as good as I ever had in North Texas(Until I tried El Paisa Cocina Mexicana). I gave it a 3 — Star, because of the«Barbacoa & Lengua)» They are as good as I ever had in in North Texas(Until I tried El Paisa Cocina Mexicana). Do not get me wrong! After 60 years of eating at most boarder town, in Mexico and Texas, as well as Southern Texas, Arizona and New Mexico. have had«Calle Del Taco» all the way down to Mexico City and have been to the«ABC» countries in South America, as well a Ecuador. These from Emelia’s Tex-Mex — 3751MAIN St. do not hold a candle to them. They are as good as You will get in North Texas(Until I tried El Paisa Cocina Mexicana). So Enjoy! Steven K.

I will start this review with the fact that Ive only had Emelia’s on carry out, not in the restaurant. But that didn’t lower my rating at all. I love their food. Just about everything I have had from there is awesome. Ive tried all but one of the kinds of street tacos they have, and the mini chimichangas So gooood. Some of the best street tacos I have ever had. And in thinking about this right now, probably the best street tacos I have ever had. Their queso is so good as well. My words can only say so much about their delicious food. Go, try it for yourself and thank me later.

Thank you Unilocal for finding this gem for me. Let me start by saying that the brothers that own and run this place are great guys. First time here and the place was quiet with a lot of to go orders. I had a chance to visit with one of the brothers and walked away knowing this place was here to stay and that the brothers are passionate about serving up good food. Location — hard to get to with the construction(worth it) Appearance– small place inside but very clean. No frills type of place but that’s ok because the food is awesome. Service– attentive/friendly Food– damn good. I had brisket, carnitas, asada wow I was full. I just wanted to keep eating. Great flavor to all the tacos I had. Sauces offered were just the icing and def not necessary if you are trying to hide the flavor. I wanted to keep eating. What I am really excited about this place is that they serve Mexican style breakfast all day. I can’t wait to get back and try the breakfast chorizo! Stay in the kitchen BRO’s you are doing a damn good job. See you tomorrow

I have only had the supreme breakfast burrito, but it was damn good. Supreme = bacon, chorizo, sausage, cheese, egg, pico for $ 3.99, good price for the big burrito you get. Comes with red and green sauce, the green sauce is strong, cleared out my sinuses. Will be coming back.

It was delicious. Go to this place. However, this is a hole in the wall taco joint. It does not sell alcohol for happy hour margaritas or beer. Do not expect too much because it is a little mom and pop hole in the wall taco joint. You don’t get chips and salsa for free. It is .99 with your meal. These are the reasons it lacks a 5th star. I went there with two of my friends. I got an assortment of street tacos. The Brisket taco was the best. One of my friends got the fajita chicken taco plate. She loved it! My other friend got crunchy taco plate. The crunchy taco shells were a bit over cooked as seen in the picture. We also tried both queso bowls. They were delicious. Not the best quality of cheese, but still delicious! The customer service wasn’t the best, but to be expected from a hole in the wall place like this. The price is the best part. The taco plate was only 4.99, and the street tacos were only 1.25 each! Definitely delicious for the price. I will be returning here to give it another shot.

This small restaurant located within a strip mall doesn’t look like much from the outside. We walked in and didn’t see anyone. Finally someone came from the back to take our order. I had the street tacos with brisket and a side of rice. They come with lime and your choice of two salsas. The red salsa was pretty standard but the green avocado tasting salsa was spicy and delish! The tacos themselves were fantastic! Excellent homemade tasting corn tortillas filled with tender flavorful brisket, cilantro and onions. So simple yet full of flavor! My hubby ordered the 1lb burrito platter and had them ladle their cheese sauce on top.(His cheese addiction is almost legendary). The burrito was huge, enough for two people! He said it was one of the best he had tasted and the cheese sauce put it over the top. Anytime you are craving a good, inexpensive street taco, this is a pretty good spot.

First time here today and thought it was just ok overall. First, service: guess there was only one non cook worker that I could see. I waited around for about 5 minutes before I saw anyone or was asked for my order. Food: I tried the lupes dip or something, I forget what it’s called, but it has ground beef, onions, and guac in it. The cheese tasted a little velveta-y, and a little runny. It’s no bob Armstrong dip from Mattitos that’s for sure. The chips were good though, not super thin like chuys, but probably the next level. Approx $ 5. I then tried two hard ground beef tacos, and 4 street tacos. Two steak, one chicken and one brisket. The ground beef tacos were similar to Rosas but the street tacos were pretty good. I would recommend them. I probably will give this place another try.

I got some great chicken street tacos from here today! I tried coming the other day, but there were at least 7 other people already waiting for their food, so I had to leave due to lack of time. But today I had time! And I was actually the only person there when I got there(about 12:30 on a Sunday), and it took them less than 5 min to make my 3 chicken tacos. I’d call this place a big hole in the wall as there’s a lot of seating, but it’s pretty run down inside. The chicken in my tacos, though cooked well, was leaning towards the bland side but with the addition of lime and salsa these tacos were great! I’ll definitely be back since it’s so close and cheap, but I will try to avoid crowded times. Side note: would it hurt them to sweep/clean the floors every once in a while?
