Meet the Business Owner
Janice W.
Business Owner
The owner, Janice Weatherspoon, has been a day care director for 25 years before opening this center. During that time she has attended childcare training, workshops, seminars and conferences to continually enhance her knowledge and skills. Mrs. Weatherspoon was a founding member of the Texas Professional Home Child Care Association and served on its Board for five years. From 1993 – 1994 she served as Vice President of that group. In 1993, Mrs. Weatherspoon was the Conference Chair for the «Breezing Into Professionalism; Anchoring in Strength and Growth’ Conference in Galveston, Texas which was attended by over 1000 day care owners, managers and teachers as well as vendors and speakers.
Mrs. Weatherspoon has traveled extensively throughout the State of Texas as a lecturer and facilitator of many training sessions on child care management, indoor and outdoor play, and professionalism for home-based child care. She is an active member of the Gulf Coast, Houston and National Associatio
