Established in 2009.

Founded in 2009 by CSK hotels (based in Fort Smith, Arkansas), the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Texarkana is the first Marriott Select-​Service property in Texarkana. We’re the only Marriott to serve a free Hot breakfast in the morning. We also have complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel.

This was a great place to stay. They are located right off the freeway with easy access to various eating and shopping places. We were here for a funeral, and Fairfield Inn helped ease the burden with a clean and comfortable room, and complimentary breakfast each morning.
There were four adults and three children. We had two adjoining rooms, which were both suites. One room had a king sized bed, for the married couple, and a sofa bed. The other room had double beds, and a sofa bed. Both rooms came with a mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. For entertainment, both rooms consisted of a flat screen TV (maybe about 40″), and a radio/​CD player with speakers. We didn’t get to utilize the entertainment. The TV didn’t even get turned on.
Room service brought us extra towels upon request, and housekeeping kept our beds made, and bathroom clean. The breakfast consisted of a variety of cereal, muffins, and bagels. In addition, you could make your own waffle shaped in the State of Texas, or you could have eggs, sausage, bacon or biscuits with gravy. They also provided milk, orange juice and apple juice. There were so many items, I’m sure I’m missing a few but you get the picture.
Overall, our experience was definitely a good one, and we will make Fairfield Inn our home away from home whenever we are in Texarkana, TX.

I have stayed here a couple of times while traveling with a disabled family member. The first time was a good experience, the second stay – over thanksgiving holiday– was not. Was way too crowded, too many unsupervised kiddos, breakfast was a zoo and just not a peaceful place to spend the holiday. Kids running up and down the hallways, tracking water all over the halls from the swimming pool.
Worst of all, My room was not cleaned at all. Had to ask for for fresh towels and linens.

We like staying at Fairfield Inn, they are always clean and comfortable. This trip surprised us, as when we checked in, they knocked $ 3 of the room rate as it was a holiday. The room was big and clean. The manager had a welcoming party, with sandwiches, beer wine, cheese and fruit.
Breakfast was hot and it had a great selection.

The staff were very pleasant. The hotel is very clean and well kept. The bed was great. The price was reasonable. The reason I gave a 3 star instead of a 5 star is because my room faced the freeway and I could not sleep all night. It is as very noisy from the cars and large trucks passing by. I have visited many places and stayed at many different hotels and this is the first time I experienced something like this. Everything else about the hotel is great. I regret not reading the Tripadvisor comments about the noise. Apparently I’m not the only one who experienced this. Don’t stay in room 202 especially if you are a light sleeper. I did speak to the front desk representative, Alisa, and she was very kind about it. She did recommend that if I come the next time, to ask for another room away from the freeway. I would still recommend staying here.

Sleeper beware. My husband is going to talk about that hard as stone bed for the rest of our days. We reserved a room with a king bed. It was a queen. So tiny.
The smell was strange too. It smelled like old colonge or potpourri.
The pool was dirty. Some brown sludge on the floor and a film on the surface. However, people seemed to be enjoying the fitness room.
The breakfast was normal. They even have Texas shaped waffles!

Very pleasant stay! The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything looked newly remodeled, the bed was very comfortable. Most importantly for us, they are pet friendly! We will stay there again!

This Marriott was nicely designed. The décor was very modern and appealing, and seemed like they had recently redocorated. The beds were pretty comfortable, not the best I’ve ever slept in, but good for the price.
The parking lot was well lit, so I felt more comfortable leaving my car. I read that the area was a high crime area, so that made né feel better.
A plus to this hotel is that they give free breakfast. The break select was good and it was tasty. If i was in the area I’d stay at this hotel again.

I am a Marriott Rewards member and I will go out of my way to stay at a Marriott branded property. On our way back from Hot Springs we decided to stop and stay the night and Texarkana. I searched for Marriott branded properties in the area and found this one.
The staff at the front desk were friendly and also made a great recommendation for a local place to eat and hang out for a bit. The room was clean and well kept. Parking was also easy the front desk clerk was kind enough to give us a room close to the side entrance so we can easily come and go to our vehicle. They also offer a free breakfast with your stay.
When I stay at a hotel I am looking for a clean quiet place to sleep with a nice shower and friendly staff. This property meet all those requirements.
One criticism is that this property has a check in offer on Unilocal of 500 reward points when you check in. I tried to use the offer at the front desk and they were confused and told me they did not know what it was and I could not use it. When I checked out the next morning I asked another front desk clerk who seemed equally as confused and told me I would have to call the corporate office and ask them if they could credit my account.
I’m not going to take the time to do that because the 500 reward points is not worth the time and frustration. The check and offers should be just that check-​in redeem smile be happy and go on about your business.
Other than the debacle with the Unilocal offer this is a decent place to stay and I recommend.

Wow. We arrived and (after requesting a room on a ‘low’ floor with our reservation) we had to request when arriving, which we did. We were given a room on the 1st floor. (Traveling with our 13yo and almost 5 yo) We went to dinner. Our 13yo would rather hang and game than eat — so he stayed behind.
While we are at dinner we get the panic call from our child that the hotel had keyed another person into the room — SOMEONE WALKED IN ON OUR CHILD who had on headphones and was computer face. Now — the good news? It was an older woman who promptly realized the mistake and backed out of the room.
The bad news? It could have been much worse.
Marriott needs to address these security concerns. Our child will not feel ‘safe’ in a hotel room… We do not feel SAFE, ultimately, that our items are safe from prying hands or eyes while we stay with you as guests,
How does something like this occur? LOCK your doors with that big bar thingy people when you are IN the room — and lock up your STUFF, when you leave otherwise risk Madam Slingblade entering…
The room:
utilitarian, bed is a small queen, the bathroom is sufficient. Nothing special here folks, but like my daddy always said, «You get what you pay for…»

Not bad for Texarkana. This hotel is a couple years old. The room was clean, pillows are comfy, & the thermostat works well. All the staff was really nice over the few days I stayed. On Tuesdays & Wednesdays, they have a manager’s special where they serve food (e.g., meatballs, fruit, hot dogs, soda pop, water, wine, & beer). Not many hotels for this sort of thing. They have a good complimentary hot breakfast. They also have free wired & wireless internet. The fitness room is small, like most hotels. The pool is small. The construction on I-​30 may throw u for a loop. The only other annoying thing is getting your luggage through the hallway & into the bedroom. It’s very narrow.

This is a brand new hotel, so everything is clean and new and the rooms are stylishly decorated. However, our suite was really strangely arranged. There was no place to put a suitcase if you don’t want to trip over it. The «pantry» area was a tiny microwave and a minifridge that will almost hold a gallon jug of water. Ladies who wear glasses or contacts beware — the bathroom mirror is huge, but the countertop is so deep (6 – 8 inches in front of the sink and 6 – 8 inches behind the sink) that you cannot begin to get close enough to do your makeup, and there’s no other mirror in the bathroom. Lighting was poor — it’s not that it was dark, it’s that there were not enough lamps, and those that were there were extremely bright.
