Action Games Paintball

This Place is Awesome!! The guys that run it are so nice and helpful! I took my 10 year old son and they were very patient with us it being are first time!! It is definitely worth the money! Thank you guys for an Awesome time!

This place is awesome first time playing and had a blast, staff is very friendly and they take their job very seriously, can’t wait to go back!

My buddy has his bachelor party here and it was a blast! Paintball all day with cheap refills on paint and air. The refs did a great job at keeping things fair and safe — making sure everyone followed the rules and still had a good time… My job focuses on safety so I have a keen eye; it was nice to see the employees practice what they preach. We got to play a couple times on each field and each one has a different style of play. The food was nothing special but this isn’t the Ritz! Soda, chips, and water all day (we brought some beer for ourselves) and hot dogs /​hamburgers for lunch. It hit the spot after playing all day!
Definitely recommended for any birthday or bachelor party. Cheap fun and you get to shoot your friends. What’s better than that? Can’t beat it.

I would *not* recommend bringing kids to this place unless you rent the entire site for the day. The folks running it set down rules for safety but do not really enforce them. This means you are at the whims of whomever else is there with respect to safety. I brought four 12 year old boys to play after being assured by the owner/​operator that it would be appropriate. It was not — one of the boys in my party was shot several times at close range by another participant with painful welts resulting. The person who did this broke the so called ’15 foot firing rule’ but was not reprimanded and was allowed into the next round of play. Some of it was fun, but this pretty much wiped all of it out — not a great way to spend the day.

Been here a couple times now. The place is next to a pig farm and used to be a landfill, so it smells awful. It takes them a long time to get things going. Like in other reviews I ran out of paintballs, but the friends I came with brought/​bought some extra paint balls (you can buy them at Walmart, hunting stores, dicks sporting goods, and online cheaper than here: $ ²⁰⁄₅₀₀ balls.
Now the food… It was not a good «bbq» or even a «meal» in my opinion. They burn frozen small burgers and Kaydem hotdogs. Again they burn all of them. Then using there messy hands that are not in gloves or clean (like when they put the meat on the grill) put them on a piece of wood that everyone has to touch. Im sounding like a germaphobe, but it really just disgusted me. May I mention that I got sick after.
Finally, the refs, they were overall good, but in one of the games there were still 2 people left on my team and the flag was not causing the game to end, nor the time, it was because «i was too close to the other team.»

I think this place is great! Located in the woods of Tewksbury, MA. Great place for a family/​friend outing for men, women and I would say children over 12… $ 50 gets you a mask, ammo containers, gun, and 500 paint balls. 500 paintball refills for $ 20! Had a great day with our all group of 6. Couldn’t stop talking about the experience the remainder of the day!

This place is fantastic. It very well met up to my expectations. I am an experienced paintballer but some of my friends had never played before. We had a party of six, which meant they had to split us up. I was bummed at first but on several occasions found myself in intense shootouts against my girlfriend.
It was hot and sweaty which means my mask was fogging like crazy. The staff showed me this trick, though which significantly helped that.
The staff was really great. They offered us advice before the games started and were really strict about safety, especially the goggles.
I saw some of the reviews about the bbq. Don’t expect anything elaborate. The guy on the phone said burgers n dogs nd that’s what it was.
I’ll be back to get some more action!

I took my son and a few of his friends here last weekend. The boys loved the course and did not have enough good things to say about it. The staff was overwhelmingly accommodating and even provided hamburgers and hotdogs (a necessity for a group of 13 year-​old boys). Two of the boys had only played once before, and they had a blast. I highly recommend this location to children and adults!

First time paintball player. Great experience. First of all I envisioned an all out warfare attack with me leaving covered in paint and bruises. No. You rarely get hit. At most maybe just once a game (about 6 games). Well organized.
Here’s what needs to be fixed in order for it to get a 5 star. All of these item are things they must add/​correct on their website just to notify players.
1) The «BBQ» is not my version of a BBQ. It’s ONLY hotdogs and hamburgers and is given to you AFTER you play (around 1pm). There are no plates, no chips, no soda. Tiny Dixie cups for water only. That’s FINE, but let people know! We’re all thinking chicken, pasta, corn, etc… you know… a BBQ! Let people know there are no plates, napkins, etc. It’s literally a bun and hot dog or hamburger.
2) For first timers they need to let them know about what a paintball is. It’s more of a «goo», not a paint. Perhaps you need a change of clothes, but not likely. It just rubs off and doesn’t stain. (I sort of pictured me soaked in paint)
3) For the ladies out there… just one port-​a-​potty. Again, that’s fine, but give the ladies a heads up on that. We need to know to put our makeup on before starting paintball (Kidding guys, kidding).
4) Bug spray. Hello? Put that as something to bring on the website. Oh, and ladies… bring a hair tie. I had to give out two of mine to ladies who failed to bring a hair tie. This isn’t a fashion show and no one wants to see your hair flying in the wind. Put that on the website too please.
5) Along the same lines: Bring snacks and your own drinks. It would’ve been nice if the website said you should bring a bag and you can leave it where you can access it after every game, BUT do not leave valuables in the bag. We were hungry and thirsty (for more than Dixie cup size of water). We saw families with coolers and food. Jealous!
6) Along the same lines… seriously? Dixie cups? Um… please go out and afford larger plastic cups for the water. It’s summer and 90+ degrees! Thus the reason the website should encourage you to bring your own drinks, water bottles, snacks, etc.
7) What is going to happen. There should be a place that says you’ll be playing with strangers. I’m okay with that, but the 4 of us had never been and didn’t know what to expect. You’re divided into teams with everyone in your party on the same team unless you want to be on opposing teams. You work together in a group to accomplish a mission. In our heads we thought we were going to play each other and get to shoot each other in a small group. No. We had about 15 people on our team (we were 4 of them). If we had wanted to be on opposite teams I’m not sure we could’ve ever found each other. So, our thought of attacking and hiding from each other was quickly ruined. Still had fun, but it would’ve been nice to know.
Again…ALL of the items up there just need explanations on the website. It would’ve gotten 5 stars if just for a little more information and explanation.

Decided to have part of my bachelor party at Action Paintball and I was not disappointed. I am by no means an experienced paintballer (and neither was anyone in my party) but that didn’t matter thanks to the great service and ownership. They really made everything very easy for our small (10 people) party. Not only was the whole day rather inexpensive, but a BBQ lunch is provided as part of the package. Don’t for get to BYOB! I highly recommend Action paintball for any bachelor party or just some weekend fun.

Action Games Paintball is an unbelievable outdoor paintball experience and as far as I am concerned, as good as it gets in MA. They have a huge plot of land with a variety of different courses including forts for capture the flag. The staff is very professional and they always make sure everyone is included. There is no pressure at all, it is a very relaxing experience: you can play every round if you like, or you can sit out as many rounds as you want. Action games is very well managed and you can tell that safety is a top priority. For $ 50 you get to play all day with an included BBQ of burgers and hotdogs.
My friends and I went one afternoon for a birthday party and I have been back a couple of times since. I have never had a bad experience, everybody is friendly and the staff are very accommodating.

Hands-​down the best price for outdoor paintball in Massachusetts. Paint refills are decently reasonable ($ 20 for 500 balls), fair team splitting, good variety of fields (4 +speedball), and if you play all day you get a barbecue lunch as part of the package. Family-​run businesses done right. Any first-​time paintball player should come to Action first.

Went here with a group of 20 or so friends and had a blast. It is certainly bare bones, but the guys working there are really nice and helpful — no macho man syndrome going on here!
The paintball day runs from 8:30 — 2:30 ish and starts with registration and a little training. For $ 50 (the Rambo package), you get camo, a face mask, 500 bullets, and a gun. The camo and equipment did not fit me (too big) and barely fit a few of my larger guy friends (too small). I have a nice bruise on my forehead from where the mask dug into me all day. But, I got over the fact that my camo jacket was hanging down to my knees, rolled up my sleeves, and after a few rounds of target practice, out to the woods you go!
Paintball is all about who you are with. We had a great time because we all knew each other and could tease and joke. I ran out of bullets after a few games and had to buy more at $ 20 for a bag of 500. It all adds up to a pretty expensive day, a little too expensive if you ask me.
About 6 games into the day, we broke for their «world famous BBQ», which consisted of no plates or utensils, and hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken wings. No sides, just what I listed above. If I would have known, I would have brought chips along with me or something. Also you can BYOB, but you can only drink it during lunch. The food was pretty gross, and certainly not «world famous», but I ate it because I was ravenous. Also, water and Pepsi is served in tiny Dixie cups. Yeah, I drank about 27 of those. Why not give us regular sized cups?
Also, after literally crawling around on the floor of the forest all morning, I would have LOVED some soap and water to wash my hands before i dug into all the food with nary a utensil.
After lunch we played a few more games, and some speedball until everyone’s ammo ran out. I thought the playing fields were pretty cool. Lots of area to cover, plenty of areas to take cover, forts with lookout towers, and trees to hide behind. All in all, an exhausting, exhilarating day!
