History

Established in 1997.

Rodney Dunn Company, Inc., was established in 1997. Its owner/​broker, Rodney Dunn, had served as Vice-​President of another large real estate corporation in the area since 1974. Since its inception, the Rodney Dunn Company has received many awards, honors and accolades. On 10 occasions, the Temple Area Builders Association has honored the Rodney Dunn Company as its Real Estate Agency of the Year. For 11 years, the Temple Daily Telegram has named the Rodney Dunn Company as its «Reader’s Choice-​Simply the Best» real estate agency in Central Texas. The Rodney Dunn Company has historically been one of the top two highest producing companies in the area, and many of our agents have been named Realtor-​of-​Year by TBBoR. We are committed to our communities, and our agents have served in every capacity from Mayor of Temple to Chairman of Planning & Zoning, to Parks and Recreation, to Keep Temple Beautiful, etc. Several of our agents have served as President of the local Board of Realtors

Rodney Dunn grew up in San Antonio, Texas and attended Thomas Jefferson High School where he was Vice-​President of the Student Council. He obtained a degree in Marketing from Abilene Christian University in 1972, where he served as President of the Student’s Association. Later, Dunn served as President of the National ACU Alumni Association. He obtained his Texas Real Estate License in 1972, and has worked full time in this profession since that time. Professionally, Dunn has served as President of the Temple-​Belton Board of Realtors, and has been honored as Realtor-​of-​the-​Year on 3 separate occasions. He has served as Chairman of the United Way, Vice-​President of the Temple Chamber of Commerce, President of the Rotary Club of Temple, and as a member of the Bell County Child Welfare Board. He served the City of Temple as its chairman of the Planning & Zoning Commission. In 2013, the Historic Preservation League of Temple honored him for his Outstanding Service to Historic Temple.
