Gaspar’s Patio Bar & Grille

This is a very friendly bar and the bartender and servers are attentive. The menu is not very large, but the food is fairly good for a bar. The beer list is extensive and the live music on the patio makes it a nice place to hang out with friends.

Came here with a group of friends for a bday party and had such a good time! What a great set up these guys have, there is an outside private patio with mist and fans to keep the cool going. On the food side we have the loaded tater tots which are a pleasure food and the quantity is outstanding! I was also feeling large and happy for Friday so I ordered 20 wings with medium sauce. These wings where fresh with the right amount of sauce, I am really happy with the level of quality they serve the food and the server was really friendly and understanding. I would totally visit this location again it’s just right for hangouts.

Karaōke is GREAT! Bar service is good, & food is OK. They have expanded their location, and it’s a fun place to check out.

Abysmal! Service was slow. Food was mediocre and not fresh. My Shrimp basket had 6 small shrimp and Cole slaw. The fries were obviously of a pre-​cut frozen variety and over seasoned. My friend ordered the club minus tomato. They left the tomato in and the toasted bread was tough. All in all a total let down.
When I was ordering, I was going to get the fish since it said «Fresh Catch of the Day». To me that would be something like grouper since that is a plentiful and popular local fish. The server said the fish is Swai. Anyone who knows, knows that is a fish from Korea. It is a nice white fish. It is NOT local, nor fresh catch of the day. Needless to say, I changed what I was ordering. I gather their cook is barely a step above a McDonald’s line cook.
While they have a cool location, indoor and patio seating and are dog friendly, they fell way short in the food department. Did not stick around for the karaōke.

This is a fun place out in temple terrace with outdoor patio seating with live music and indoor seating with karaōke inside. They have a huge beer list and the staff was eager to have us try samples and make sure we were happy with our selection! I didnt eat anything, but next time, Ill be checking out the menu too!

This has to be one of the worst experiences I’ve had to date. This Temple Terrace staple prides itself on a family atmosphere and taking pride in all it does. This motto/​creed must’ve lost its shine after 56 years of business.
The breakdown:
–Our meals (x4) took 45 min to appear. It was a mildly busy Sunday night. One waitress working the entire patio.
— My chicken wrap was missing the cheese and sautéed shrooms and the chicken, requested blackened, was grilled (aka microwaved).
— ¾ of our meals’ fries & onion rings were cold and over cooked. When we made our waitress aware, she took our plates, sandwiches, too. Guess I’ll wait another 5 minutes to eat that…
— The cook brought our plates back with ‘improved’ onion rings. When my husband asked whether they had been re-​dropped, this guy confirmed it. So now we had piping hot, way over fried onion rings. ‘They are all we have left… we are out of onion rings.’ Seriously?
— my husband’s club sandwich was also missing it’s lettuce and tomato. When he questioned the same cook, this guy had the nerve to lie and stated ‘it doesn’t come with that.’ I pulled the menu to show him the description but he was already backing away.
— So the food redeemed all of that, right?!? Hell to the no. I left 90% of my wrap. My husband didn’t eat his club (dripping in grease). My father in law? Well he thinks Red Lobster is high class seafood… my MIl ate her chicken tenders which were just ok. Worst fries, ever, however.
— The icing on the cake: we were charged for my onion rings (my husband’s were taken off). I didn’t even touch them. Our 2 sides of ranch were an upcharge. Are you frigging kidding me??? After all of that, you’re going to charge for a damn condiment?
Our waitress was nice and extremely embarrassed. I’m sure she gave that cook/​kitchen a much deserved ass chewing. Bottom line: just eat at Busch Gardens. Yeah, it was THAT bad.

If you’re looking for good drinks and a friendly bar setting, you should venture here! I love Gaspar’s and have been here several times. The bartenders and waiters are extremely friendly and attentive. The food menu is not very extensive, but includes your staples such as wings, nachos, fried things, etc. Beer prices are very good, as are the selections on tap for those craft beer snobs. They have domestics as well as local craft beers for decent prices ($ 2.75-$ 6 per pint). Pitchers are also well priced.
If you like karaōke, this is a great place to show off your singing voice! They have karaōke every night beginning at 9pm!
Great atmostphere. I’d highly recommend!

I came here once months ago, and this place is a secret. Good lighting, good mix of music, good mix of people, great place for karaōke, although its not in some major nightlife area like SoHo or Ybor, but I digress. It’s memorable because its different…

Came tonight with friends from out of town. It was our first time here– great food, great drinks, incredible atmosphere. Very accommodating! Most importantly, it was insanely clean– like to the point where I was asking if it was new. Excellent atmosphere, we will definitely be back!

We come to this place to hang out after work and they have a decent space. They have different things going on at the same time: live bands, karaōke and pool. We always go for the karaōke, I understand is 7 days a week, so I don’t know about the bands or the pool crowd but we always manage to have fun at the karaōke bar.
The menu is very limited but the food is good: wings, chicken tender, nachos, burgers, etc. and their price is average bar prices ($ 7-​$ 14). I wouldn’t come here just for the food but I always eat when I come here… you feel me?
I believe their strength is their beer selection and their service. They have beer choices for everybody and they’ll let you sample. I’ve always had a friendly service and they’re on the ball.
I went on a late November night and their terrace seemed very pleasant, I may try it on a cool evening.

I use to love this place but my last few visits were not good at all. One visit my husband had on a tshirt and was told we cant serve you with a wife beater shirt, I never knew shirts are called wife beaters. We left and didnt go back for months until I convince my husband to try this place again. Well this time service was slow, we sat at table for over 15 mintues before someone came over then the waitress was getting our order while talking to people around her so we had to repeat our order more then once. Food is okay but the staff needs to do better

I went into Gaspar’s not expecting much. At first glance, the menu isn’t big but it is full of flavor. I had the Ybor Cuban and it was one of the best Cuban sandwiches that I’ve had in Tampa. I was even surprised by how good the fries were. Everyone from the servers to the cooks and bartenders were nice and made a point to talk to us.
The beer list is full of great options. As for drinks, during happy hour you can get a double for the price of a single. The patio is dog-​friendly and would’ve been a good option if it weren’t the middle of summer. The parking lot could’ve been bigger, but we were able to find the last available space. I’d go back later at night because they have live bands sometimes and it’s more of a bar atmosphere.

I don’t go to this place too often because it’s a little out of the way, but I always have a good time when I do. Maybe I’m a little inebriated by the time I decide to order food, but to me the wings are some of the best in Tampa, the other stuff I’ve tried is normal bar food quality. I’m thankful that there is no dessert on their menu because drunk me would probably eat all the ice cream in the world. The waitresses are great, very attentive and friendly, no matter how late it is.
Don’t miss the liquor store next door! I don’t know how they fit so much in a relatively small space, but they seem to have *everything*.
The only drawback is parking gets a little ugly, so if you get there later at night you’re gonna have a bad time trying to find a spot.

Looks like a very fun place. Rick the bartender was more than awesome. But it seemed like the rest of the staff thinks its a place to play. I was shoulder bumped by a server that gave me a rude look. Many more servers were just plain rude and that was just walking to and from the bathroom. Only way i would go back is to call and see if rick was working otherwise no thanks

The food is typical bar food… lots of fried options to choose from. The drinks are great, wide variety of brands and you can’t beat the prices at happy hour! Servers seem nice. Atmosphere on the patio is nice and they let you bring your 4 legged friend, which is nice.

Gaspars catered our company party. Super huge draft and liquor choices. Liquor store next door. Food is mediocre at best. Just bar food. As a bar, it is winning. Two bars, a game room, and a dog patio.

Really great oyster spread, went late night and was surprised by the good looking plate of oysters. Only downside was out of the proprietors hands… the darn droning of the seeming drunk couple who kept the karaōke machine company all night haha. Will be back for oysters and they were nice enough to sub chips for tater tots in their nachos.

Great staff, friendly, attentive and accommodating! The wings were really good as well as their chips and salsa. The atmosphere is kicked back, inviting, and fun… Will definitely come back next time I’m in town! I edited this review bc we ended up staying until 2:30 am! The two guys singing on the deck, one guy was Jeremy, they were AWESOME! They had unbelievable voices, great choice of music, and were very friendly and fun! I definitely recommend this place to anyone especially to watch some football, eat some wings, have a ice cold beer, and kick back!
